(The call reply reminds Lutgarde that they're still, after half a decade of working as a ranger, still maybe should get a callsign that's a bit handier than Dijkstra. It seems like that's not exactly the easiest word to figure out.)

"Acknowledge and thanks, Arbok Nine, Cadet Dijkstra over," they only briefly respond, as the Poacher actually takes out another pokémon - of course they'd have more! A poison/dark combination can indeed get very hairy for Sylv, but he doesn't back off as he steps forward and hisses at the Drapion. They don't even know what to say in reply, so they just frown and don't.

"Acknowledge," their second reply turns out to be even briefer, as the Poacher uses that moment to attack. "Light Screen!" Lutgarde commands to block the incoming Cross Poison attack, "then go for a Quick Attack!"

"Qui-!" Lutgarde shouts alarmed at the sight of the Toxic Glob. They might be working with Poison frequently in the sewers, but that never quite meant that they were actually immune to it, unfortunately. However, they breathe a sigh of relief as Thomas intervenes, calling his Scizor in-between who remains unaffected by the Poison attack.

"Thank goodness you did," Lutgarde replies with a grin, before focusing back on the poacher. "You're outnum-" they start to add, before they hear Sylph giving a warning call. From the foliage, another Poacher emerges - and this one seems to command authority, meaning they might be one of the leaders of this group. "Guess it's a fight?" they say, motioning for Sylv and Sylph to both get into position next to Thomas' Scizor and Hydreigon.

Lutgarde's eyes widen in surprise as they see the Type:Null - they know some people who had one, and it seemed like a reaaally bad idea for a criminal to be in possession of one. Well, arguably one could now debate the nature of the law and ... anyway. It's not on their mind, and they simply nod at Thomas' questions. "They shouldn't be a problem for us," they say, exchanging a brief glance with their pokémon before their team moves to make room.

Sylv immediately moves towards the Drapion with another Quick Attack to discourage it from intervening in the fight of Thomas and the leader. "We're your opponent now," they heckle the other poacher, who curses, scrambling for another pokéball. "Sylph!" they shout, and the Togekiss swiftly moves in, smacking their hand away with one wingbeat before quickly moving out of sight again.

The Drapion wouldn't stay motionless either, however, as it gathers dark energy for a Night Slash - seemingly aimed towards both Sylv and Lutgarde. "Magical Leaf!" they command.

Sylv is an experienced battler, allowing Lutgarde to briefly look at Thomas' side of the battle, even if it's not necessary at all - just the caretaker instinct kicking in, making sure no additional help is needed. And the fight against the Type:Null looks absolutely brutal, too, nothing they'd be able to handle.

Their opponent Drapion is steadily pushed behind as Sylv uses Magical Leaf and another time, conjuring a storm of pink leaves that push the poison type away. Eventually, it has enough, roaring as it's nearly, but not fully defeated - using Sand Tomb as a counter to the Magical Leaf successfully. Sylv flinches backwards, but he's not alone either. From the air, Sylph comes rushing in with an Air Slash, striking the Drapion and creating an opportunity for Sylv to make contact with Quick Attack and K.O. the scorpion.

Lutgarde's been focusing on the fight, almost missing how the trainer actually disappears into the foliage- but not for long. After Sylph's bounced up again from her attack, the Togekiss opens chase with Extreme Speed, ramming into the criminal with enough force to trip them, but not enough force to seriously injure.

"Oh there- Oreo, come out and use Psychic to hold them!" they shout as they call for their Galarian Rapidash, quickly capturing the criminal fully before they could get away. Turning to Thomas again, they smile a bit lopsidedly, "What a fight. Everything's alright with you? We can spare some Life Dew or two if you want to patch up a bit," they offer, before seeing the defeated Type:Null. It's almost ... sad, but they don't truly know what to feel.

Lutgarde nods, then shakes their head, "No trouble at all!" Sylph flies over from beyond, applying calming Life Dew on the worst wounds with a delicate wing. "Sounds like a good idea, shouldn't be too long- just turning in the crooked," they nod - they should probably also get checked out, even beneath the black fur, they believe to see some dark purple stains with Sylv, even if he keeps up a cheery exterior.

At Thomas' words, their uncertain look about the Type:Null softens and they smile with renewed vigor and apparent relief, "They do, indeed ... It's so ..." they start, but don't finish. There's many words to be said about Type:Null's cruel creation, but they lack all of them as they simply nod at the displayed empathy with a smile.

And gladly, the capture was the most difficult part about dealing with the poachers, as they're lead to the other poachers to be put into prison.
