[break][break] perhaps an anonymous flyer that had been sent to his desk, advertising a communal gathering in one of the breakrooms in preparation of some bake sale. considering his position as head of recruitment and training, jayden considered it his due diligence to see what his fellow grunts were up to. plus, baking was one of his common interests so it would likely be easy to engage in conversation.

The only reason Fenelle's not already here since the dawn of the day is because Fen's spent most of the last few days holed up in der workroom, fretting over some piece of program that truly was a nuisance. (And then it didn't even actually turned out to be a P.I.C.N.I.C. either, which only made the problem more infuriating. Competetent programmers are just the worst.)

However, there's yet to be a problem Fenelle couldn't crack, and even if dee had to get the aid of everything dee knows onboard. Dee also made sure to obfuscate the electricity consumption levels of der workroom specifically and rearranged something. It should pass the test as long as none of the better crackers got onto it ... ...

But those thoughts are out of the window as Fenelle approaches the breakroom with the baking club flyer in hand. Dee waves, before immediately taking inventory of the materials and utensils in the room, and then takes out der phone. Now, a Rotom lives there, too, who'd be able to immediately display whatever's spoken, but first ... Fenelle opens up the text-to-speech program with the custom module for Rocket, so it's "Fen's voice" instead of the usual, and types in, "What are we going to bake? Hello." Dee hastily adds on a greeting, having remembered basic human society etiquette in the last second.

It's only now that Fenelle actually takes note of the people present in the room, too, leading to a belated straightening of their posture and a nod at jayden cross. "Hello, Mr Cross, Sir. Are you here for the baking club, too?"

kasper wasn't epecting baking club to be a thing. not an actual thing, anyway. when the flyer had been slid under their door, they had spent a few minutes just staring at it, trying to piece together what the actual hell it was.

and then, despite everything telling them it was some joke, they made their way to the kitchen- just to stop, because there are people already there. not many, but enough to confirm that- somehow- this isn't a joke. or it is and all of them fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

regardless, they're already here. kasper puts on their best customer service face- which, even with their surprise, probably looks better than expected- and steps further into the kitchen, effectively dooming themself to a life of going to a baking club of all things.
