The Calyrex floats ahead of his trainer when the shard would have more training to do after Elise’s bout with a Rocket and his Galarian Moltres. Elise knows that Charles can hold his own without having his form to change into. With war being a concern, she’ll have to take up arms in defending Rustboro City and making sure its inhabitants were safe.[break][break]

Elise and her legendary shard travel to the outer reaches of the forest. There were Pokemon there that her Calyrex can train with. She thinks he can try and help them too if they hurt from other Pokemon that made them wounded.

She remembers seeing one of the Cufant being close to the route near Hammerlocke being very nice Pokemon. The young near the hordes of Copperajah were docile enough that they would let the very young Cufant play with her too. Elise isn’t interested in catching one for now, but the shard plays along with the younger Cufant in a little game of hide and seek in the trees.[break][break]

When Charles is done, he sees the young Cufant off. The Calyrex appeared to have likened himself to be an older brother to the younger wild Pokemon.

The shard of Calyrex is first to see a wild Pidvoe had landed on the forest’s ground. With orange leaves strewn about everywhere on the floor, November was still in the autumn season. Charles is the first to ask the female Pidove if she wanted something and the bird Pokemon chirps that she wants a battle.[break][break]

With the Pidove going first, the dove Pokemon attempts to Air Slash at the Calyrex shard. Protect creates a barrier around the hare king and he attacks with a Psychic mini blast while the Air Slash bounces off the barrier. While the Pidove is thrown in the air from the Psychic’s strong attack, Elise throws a Dusk Ball in order to catch the bird. [break][break]

She’s sure that if she raises the dove Pokemon to be another battling bird, she could ask Lam on his thoughts.

On the side of the forest’s road, a Lechonk comes to greet the ambassador and her shard. She knows that they’re like Rattata from Paldea, a popular choice for trainers to catch on their first adventure. Elise still liked having her Rattata come with her when Anne wanted to.[break][break]

The Lechonk asks Charles if the Calyrex wanted to battle with him. When Charles nods, the pig Pokemon voices out an Echoed Voice that has the ears of the rabbit ring. Charles launches an Energy Ball out of his hands and it hits the wild Lechonk before the wild Pokemon is weak enough for catching.[break][break]

Elise tosses a Dusk Ball out of her pack to catch the Lechonk, she didn’t want it to get hurt by how much her shard had been putting in his attack.

The female Turtonator that passed by the ambassador and her shard wasn’t very curious to see the legendary Pokemon up close. Maybe this one wasn’t going to battle him anyway and the turtle Pokemon was much more interested in looking for other spicy berries in a bush. Elise can’t blame the wild Turtonator for that, even dragons needed to eat too.[break][break]

Probably a little weird that a Turtonator would be eating berries instead of hunting for other Pokemon to eat. She assumed that they must have a different diet than she thought.

A Gastly floats in the middle of a forest clearing that the ambassador and her Calyrex shard come into. Elise knows that they are mischievous ghosts and this one watched both her and her shard like it wanted some help with something. Charles goes up to the Gastly first and tries to ‘talk’ with it with his own language.[break][break]

He came back with the wild Gastly in tow and the Calyrex tells her that the Gastly is in need of help. The ambassador looks over the form of the small ghost to find what’s wrong with the wild Gastly as a flicker of fire can be seen on its body. Even the visible burns made the princess concerned for the Gastly’s health.[break][break]

“Would you make him feel better?” She spoke over to the Calyrex shard as she dabs at the burns across the Gastly’s body with a wet cloth. Aromatherapy’s fragrance covers the body of the wild Gastly too as Charles works in making sure the burns were at least not hurting for the ghost type.[break][break]

“You’re all better now, little one.” Elise smiles at the wild Gastly and she gives him a chance to go inside an empty Dusk Ball from her pack.[break][break]

A chance that the wild Gastly accepts as he taps the button and lets himself get sucked in by the red light.

A Clefairy is in view of another clearing that Elise and her legendary shard come across. This clearing had a good view of the moon shining down on them and Elise noted that the day passed to night. The wild Clefairy gestures for the ambassador and her Calyrex to sit with her on the grass. It’s apparent that the wild fairy type Pokemon wanted to have a moment of watching the moon with the human and Pokemon she’d consider friends.[break][break]

The moon is what Elise liked the best. While the sun is brightest and fiery like her personal knight, the Galarian princess is the cold and harsh moon when she wanted to be. [break][break]

Evidently, the Clefairy begins to dance around the pair of ambassador and Calyrex as if she is worshipping the moon itself. Charles joins in the dance too, he’s happy to have made a friend. And when the dance ends, that’s when the Clefairy asks if she can join and accompany Charles in seeing the moon every day.[break][break]

And Elise obliges with that wish. The ambassador lets the Clefairy touch the button on the Dusk Ball she holds before the red light takes in the female fairy.
