The music had been playing on repeat in the studio for almost ten minutes, giving the Pokemon within ample time to stretch their legs and find their rhythm. The half-enthused director (who had mentioned several times that he hadn’t graduated to direct creatures that barely true art) clapped his hands, beckoning the beasts to hear his words. “One way or another, we’re going to make each of you shine before we wrap up! That is, if any of you want a future in this business! So before we get in front of the camera, I want one freestyle round! That’ll give me an idea of how to position you all,“ and who to hide out of frame. He set the song to play one last time and settled his gaze on each creature in turn.

Queenie didn’t need any help shining. At least, that was what Annie had told her. Then again, Annie said a lot of things, and wasn’t there to give the usual moral support. It was up to the Steenee to feed her own ego, and prove that she didn’t need any help doing so. With a quick curtsy, the living plant took two steps forward, placed her hands on her hips and twirled on the spot. Several times, in quick succession. Each spin released more and more of her Sweet Scent from the sepals atop her head. It would either invigorate or annoy her fellow dancers, but either way, it would likely get their attention – and that was all she really cared about.

Jonquille does not like this director. He is too loud and carries a negative energy. But Florian was counting on her to make a good impression, and the posy-picking-Pokemon was not about to let her trainer down!

Queenie's sweet scent is a pleasant contrast to the grumpy director. With a cheerful chirp, Jonquille adds to it with her own aromatherapy, spreading the soothing scent of her favourite flowers throughout the room. She handles these flowers with care and a certain wistfulness, knowing that she must sacrifice their petals in her dance.

But it would be OK! Florian has a beautiful garden full of flowers, and he'd brought plenty of them along as replacements. She would have petals for the final shoot, and she would go home with a whole new ring of flowers.

Eager to impress, the Comfey dances and twirls into frame, her flowers catching studio lights. When the music reaches a point she finds suitable, the little fairy scatters the petals and incorporates them into her dance. They drift lazily among the dancers, adding splashes of bright colour into their midst.

uhane wasn't sure what kazimir was thinking when he signed the marowak up for this. sure the pokemon was a good dancer but it wasn't something that it did for crowds and mostly did for itself. still it was here and others were already taking part of this so he might as well do his part to make himself stand out. also to make this instructor eat his own words too.

he held out his bone perpendicular to his body to focus his energy as he meditated. as soon as the music started that's when the bone began to twirl it around his body as it glowed with fire. after two rounds around himself he gripped it tightly in one hand and started swinging it around in a flourish, a swords dance to show off that he was a warrior, not just a dancer, but even a warrior knew that a fight was nothing more than a dance between opponents finding the right move to take each other down.

Stormy did know that she had signed up two very shy and very nervous birds to do something very public, right? Chances are, she had known, and she had done this on purpose to make them come out of their shell. She's had half a mind to separate them as they were too worried about being together to worry about being unique.[break][break]

Regardless, the two Oricorio had been dropped off with several other Pokemon capable of putting on a performance, and they were rather uncomfortable with the situation.[break][break]

They sat on the edge of a table, huddled together and preening each others feathers while two other Pokemon, or maybe three, took the stage and followed the orders of the big guy in charge.[break][break]

It's actually the help of both the

sweet scent

and

aromatherapy

that help them come out of their shell a little bit. They perk up, inhaling the lovely smell. It makes them feel more at peace and a lot more energized. That, and the Alolan Marowak in the crowd reminds them of Stormy's, and that thought is also comforting. Like there's a piece of her still around.[break][break]

So they hop off of their perch and swoop down low over Uhane, fanning their wings over his head as they held accentuate his wonderful performance. The pair of birds add their own flair, beginning to seemingly dance across an invisible floor. In tandem, the Oricorio perform a beautiful and fiery

revelation dance

next to the Marowak.[break][break]

[attr="class","spiral"] When someone had asked Fernando if they could borrow one of his Pokemon for some kind of commercial or something, he hadn't paid them any mind. He barely listened the request before shooing them away with an indifferent 'yes'. As long as it wasn't one of his commonly used ones, he could care less.

That's where Fernando's Spinda finds itself now. It can barely comprehend what's going on when its releases from its Pokeball. So, it does what it always does, stumble around in an everlasting TEETER DANCE. There's something intoxicating about the way the Spinda fumbles on each step but never quite loses its balance. Watching such movement is confusing to all those that lay eyes on it, unable to turn away, unable to comprehend.

No longer the cowardly Jangmo-o of before, the Hakamo-o looked really uncomfortable around everyone else. He didn’t know why, but the way the human who told them around to do things—he didn’t like the way that this human was bossing them around.[break][break]

Clearly, most of the other Pokémon shared this sentiment as well. While he did not recognize any single one of his companions, the normally rowdy dual-type kept to himself as he lurked somewhere near the back, embarrassed to make a fool out of himself.[break][break]

The sweet scents that came from some of the other Pokémon helped calm down his shattered nerves somewhat, though. Not used to being bossed around by another human, he looks at the assortment of Pokémon that had been called out here today, wondering what was going to happen.[break][break]

Willing himself to take a deep breath, he then begins to move.[break][break]

Slowly, clumsily at first—gaining his footing as he becomes more confident as he goes through the mystical steps of the Dragon Dance that had been passed down to him.

Mr. Rhyme often enjoys spreading joy with his dancing, but to be away from his trainer was admittedly a bit strange. Sure, it might as well simply be like before he caught, but there was a bit of a difference. He had enjoyed making Ruby smile and seeing all these other pokemon only reminded the joyful soul that he truly was that this was an opportunity to make lots of people smile just like this trainer. Pulling out his cane, Mr. Rhyme began to tap his feet to the rhythm of the song. It wasn't the type of things he usually danced to, but the tap-dancing Pokemon had a knack for adjusting to various songs.

Twirling his cane, he began his signature Teeter Dance. His feet tapping with expert timing, dancing to the beat. Spinning and twirling his cane, it was a mesmerizing sight and such a lovely atmosphere. So many other Pokemon dancing their hearts out for the enjoyment of people everywhere. It's that thought that encourages a smile to his own face.
