Stormy is already breathing heavily by the time the mysterious stranger behind her is sure to appear. She's been grinding the area for a while now, pushing herself. The truth of it is, she's too weak to continue for much longer by herself. The Pokemon here are strong, which is to be expected from their steel typing. She wasn't underestimating their power, but merely overestimating her own.[break][break]

Her goal was simple, she was out here looking for a weapon or item that might, just maybe, even possibly enable her to become a combat mage. She would do anything to become a fiery warrior on the battlefield, capable of performing spells but able to rush into combat without fear. She'd been dreaming of wielding a flaming sword and ice shield. Maybe if she just got her hands on that Honedge in the stone.[break][break]

The woman grits her teeth as she takes down the previous spawn, wiping dirt from her robes as she stands back up. [break][break]

"If you stifle the urge to kill me, I'll let you have half the loot that drops in these next spawns."

KING Fernando finds little value in PKing alone these days. His spot at the top of the leaderboard has been cemented by the rift between him and second place. What his interest lays in is consolidating his power elsewhere and mastering what else the game has to offer. Of course, griefing is never truly off the table, one of the few avenues of the game that he genuinely enjoys, but farming Stormy at this point brings little amusement considering how much they've hunted together.

A party invite is tossed her way along with a trade request shortly after.

Gavin steps out from behind Stormy, daggers still gripped as if to attack. He's about to lower them in a show of acceptance for the request when he spots exactly who the other stranger was.[break][break]

The look of disgust on his face isn't quite as apparent on that of his avatar, though he does emote a rather displeased expression.[break][break]

"Don't be so sure you can trust this one."[break][break]

He doesn't lower his weapons, fully expecting a fight with the self-proclaimed 'King of PVP'. Gavin can't stand this asshole, but he does spare the girl upon her request. The humour in it had amused him, and the fact that she'd been aware enough to notice the stealthy rogue was impressive.

Stormy turns around abruptly to see someone she wasn't expecting. Her eyebrows raise as she turns around fully to face the man, a man she had come to know as a partner of sorts. To some degree she trusted him.. sort of.[break][break]

But she was pretty sure he wasn't the one that had been following her for several lengths - or maybe he had and she was losing her mind.[break][break]

Oh wait, nope, there he was. Stormy offers the sneaky rogue a lazy wave as she chuckles at his entrance. [break][break]

"Hello, hello, welcome to the party."[break][break]

Fernando immediately sends her a party invite, which she accepts, but she pauses before accepting the trade request. She offers the ranger a quizzical look as she presses the 'ACCEPT' button. [break][break]

Meanwhile, the rogue seems immediately on edge and informs her to not trust him. She laughs, loudly.[break][break]

"And I should trust you? You've been following me since I arrived. Don't tell me you wouldn't stab me in the back the moment you had a chance, rogue. I'd say its either you grow a pair and tag along, or we turn around and personally deliver you back to the last town you saved in. More loot for us that way, eh?"[break][break]

But before she could make good on her threat, two spawns arrive. The Cufant is quick to BULLET PUNCH it's way right for herself, to which she sets up her defenses quickly with a FIERY DANCE. She takes a step away from Fernando's side, allowing her magical abilities to conjure a swath of fiery feathers that grow into immense wings, and she twirls - engulfing the Cufant in flames that devour the spawn with ease.

[attr="class","spiral"]Well, the rogue fooled one of them. Fernando is unaware of his presence until he announces himself — a fault that should've costed him an opening blow. Either way, Gavin shows his guard but hesitates to attack. Their mutual acquaintance acts as a buffer to prevent an escalation but Fernando keeps his weapon drawn. As soon as the trade menu disappears he keeps an accurate line of sight.

"Oi. Looks who's talking you kill stealing son of a bitch."

Just because they aren't outright attacking doesn't mean Fernando won't press forward with his aggression. All he needs is one flimsy excuse to pull the trigger.

But for now he'll have to settle at the loud rumbling behind them. Stormy may deal with the smaller, less dangerous Pokemon, but when a Steelix threatens to sink them an indiscriminate STONE EDGE, Fernando counters the projectile with his ZAP CANNON. He fires as soon as the attack is off cooldown to actually hit the Pokemon this time and the PARALYSIS status pops up with a cute little chime.

He's readying to flee before they can team up on him when a Steelix appears, towering over the three of them. The dual-type is one of his favourites, but there's a distinct difference when it's attacking him.[break][break]

Thankfully, the barcode asshole has it handled. He's good for something. Gavin's attention flicks to the Metang, against whom he has an advantage: dark pulse. It catches the psychic-type dead-on, killing it.[break][break]

But Gavin doesn't relax when the spawns are dead, still mistrustful of the others.

Between the two bickering testosterone-filled men and the sudden SCREECH from an immense Steelix, Stormy is rendered invulnerable and speechless. Ultimately, the giant serpent goes down without her interference. It shudders before exploding and the sense of dread slowly leaves her body and smooths out her self-paralysis.[break][break]

"How about we just give it a rest? I didn't sign up to stand in between two insecure men and their dick-measuring contest. Let's focus."[break][break]

A Klinklang approaches at this point and she turns on it, blasting it with an ERUPTION that accurately depicts the mood she's in thanks to their arguing.

[attr="class","spiral"] "Yeah, yeah. I'm not one to hold grudges anyway." And as he says that he lines up a shot at the Klinklang with Gavin in between them. He pulls the trigger without remorse and the ZAP CANNON whizzes by his avatar, narrowly missing but purposeful as it nails the Pokemon behind him. Fernando has enough control to still land a shot without hitting something but with how close the shot ends up traveling, hazarding a move in fear of being hit may have put him straight into the line of fire.
