"i'm jus' sayin' what we're all thinki-- okay..."

the protest ends after marcel told him off. maybe the girl just needed someone to inform her that banging her head against the wall was weird, and that'll prompt her to go get help or something. nevertheless, priam ignores it, bows his head apologetically, and then moves on.

on the next floor, they find a slaking. priam turns his head to lucas, staring at him but not saying a word. informing everyone of his evolution from an outstanding member of the community, to being an afk vegetable like a slaking, to being a shitposter would be rude after all, and he doesn't want to be rude.

"purify!"

he turns back to the challenge quick as soon as he says the command. priam releases his pyukumuku, wherein it would try to heal the sleep off of the slaking with its move.

dominic freezes in his tracks upon seeing the next trainer and his pokemon. he does a 180 to swing around to look at the group, lips curled back in a sneer and expression incredulous.

"what the fuck. where do they find these people?" he says, fully aware that its loud enough for the dojo trainer to hear.

dominic withdraws another capsule from the robomi, still shaking his head in disbelief, and releases an exploud.

"wake that thing, UPROAR." dominic turns to face the others as his pokemon unhinges its jaw. "uh... cover your ears?" he says helpfully even though it probably won't do much to spare them.

yelling is one of the exploud's favourite past-times, so he inhales deeply and begins to scream in a resounding UPROAR.

Lucas looked nervously towards Dominic when he insulted the trainer. He was worried that their insults would get the group kicked out of the tower.

"Zack" he hissed just loud enough for the enforcer to hear. "Do you want us to get kicked out?"

Lucas released a machoke from a pokeball at his waist. "Wake-up Slap," he said moments before exploud's uproar filled the room.
Seemingly unaffected by the sound Machoke strut over to the slaking and slapped it across the face.

Lucas thought the woman's comment was awfully harsh for an employee. He wasn't a Karen, but damn did he want to speak to her manager. But with Priam's friends in the room Lucas restrained himself. He didn't want to scare away the boy's first and only friends that weren't him.

With no pokemon prepared for such a challenge Lucas walked over to the Rotomi. He navigated through the menus and retrieved his pinsir from storage in under a minute. Unlike or Lucas didn't have an enormous amount of pokemon to navigate through.

"Get ready to catch it," Lucas said as the stag beetle pokemon placed its pincers beneath the kabutops. Through storm throw and mold breaker it managed to throw kabutops skyward towards the group of trainers.

"okay!"

priam releases his pangoro that he nabbed from lucas lane's next door neighbor. the nickname's kinda nice though, so he'll give her props for that.

"bao bao, storm throw!"

the pangoro's mold breaker allows it to go through its shell armor as it grabs it from the previous storm throw into its own storm throw. it lifts the kabutops with its strong, meaty arms and throws it to the next pokemon.

part of him feels bad for the pokemon, being thrown around like this, but he supposes its just part of the challenge. "follow their lead," he says as the pinsir and pangoro make their attacks. his throh follows close behind, with the power of MOLD BREAKER also at its disposal, it copies its teammates with STORM THROW.

dominic makes fleeting, awkward eye contact with lucas as he withdraws a pokemon from the robomi. this one he got by less-than-legal means and had a feeling he would have to be handing it off to someone else soon. regardless - it's here now and he is going to use it like the tool it is.

"STORM THROW," dominic says, order falling in unison with priam's.

like a mirror image of lane's pinsir, dominic's prepares to attack, ensuring the STORM THROW cuts through the opponent's BATTLE ARMOR with its MOLD BREAKER.

After huddling together and brain storming Lucas walked to the Rotomi. Within seconds of navigating the machine a worn pokeball is ejected from the machine. Rejoining the group of trainers Lucas released his pokemon, a gyarados, with ample space between it and the other pokemon.

With braviary's fourth attempt it finally managed to capture a pokemon, Marcel's Klefki. "Ladon use twister!" The gyarados twisted its tail in the braviary's direction and slammed it against the floor several times. With each rumble of the floor a twister would grow underneath the braviary till it was consumed during its semi-vulnerable state.

there's not much else to do other than stand back. marcel watches as his klefki's hoisted into the air and caught in the cross-fire of a number of attacks. at least he knows no harm will come to it.

he comes out of the huddle, but he'll forgive it even if it's too weird with like four grown ups doing it because lucas lane's homeschool is showing and he's such an understanding person.

"yosh!" he says in the most anime protagonist voice. "we're using toxic!"

priam releases the scolipede that lucas lane's next door neighbor owned. lucas lane told him that she won't notice it gone for like a few hours so it's fine to take hold of it temporarily.

with braviary's fourth attempt it finally managed to capture a pokemon, marcel's klefki. the scolipede uses toxic up in the air, hitting it because of game mechanics bullshit. it somehow finds its way to the braviary till it was consumed during its semi-vulnerable state.

dominic inclines his head and exchanges a few quiet words with his group while they contemplate their next action, and then withdraw the next pokemon from the rotomi.

dominic forgets to hide the fond expression that crosses his face when he sees marcel's klefki.

the scolipede unfurls from its capsule when dominic releases it and turns to look at its trainer. they wait until after the braviary attempts to pick it up with its SKY DROP, only to fail due to the scolipede's IMMENSE WEIGHT. only after the braviary spins into the air with marcel's klefki in its claws / beak does the scolipede attack.

"TOXIC," dominic calls out. because scolipede is a POISON TYPE, the third TOXIC of the challenge will land even so far up in the sky, and will them harmlessly drip off klefki's STEEL body.
