he was told that the order of which they do things this time was important. "we're going next!" he announces as he releases his espeon out. the psychic-type tries to guess what the shenanigans has his trainer been up to this time.

"skill swap!"

a surge of energy emanates between the two psychic-types. skill swap changes the espeon's ability to anticipation while simultaneously giving away his magic bounce to the opposing hatterene.

it was after this move that the hatterene would dynamax. priam watches with round eyes as the psychic-type changes in appearance. the boy is clearly in awe of the transformation.

Lucas fetched a pokeball from the Romoti after returning the excess pokemon on his person. When he returned to the group he released a morpeko from the pokeball. Lucas waited for Priam and Marcel to launch their attacks first, which left the morpeko fidgeting in anticipation.

"Parting shot."

The morpeko spewed hateful squeaks toward the Hatterene.

while the others launched their carefully planned and executed series of attacks, dominic hung back with lucas, lucas's morpeko and the obstagoon he had... acquired? the obstagoon's tongue lolled out of its mouth and dominic sort of wished he would put it away.

when the necessary preparations were completed by marcel and priam, dominic jerks his chin toward the suddenly gigantuan hatterene (disgusting little imp child, he thinks) and utters a command to the obstagoon.

the obstagoon outstretches its arms in a display of bravado and begins to verbally abuse the hatterene in a PARTING SHOT.

ONCE YOU ASCEND THE STAIRS, you find yourselves looking upon an incredible vista of hoennian sea. the roof of the tower is a flat, square-shaped plane, like a ring for martial artists to duel upon. there are no rails or fences for safety; however, several medicham are stationed nearby— presumably, to catch anyone or any pokemon from falling into the sea.[break][break]

"CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING IT THIS FAR!" the tower's master, or at least, one of them, is a grisly man. his bushy hair is a mane across his bearish shoulders. "NOW THIS IS YOUR FINAL TEST."[break][break][break]

he tosses a pokeball to the center of the battlefield. red light unsheathes a powerful looking pokemon in black and white fur. this urshifu is a pokemon you have never seen before, perhaps thanks to the galarian embargo. however, even then, those from galar may find this species to be elusive.[break][break][break]

"DEFEAT MY SINGLE-STRIKE URSHIFU." the man says. "SHOULD YOU MAKE ONE FALSE MOVE, HE WILL STRIKE YOU OFF THE TOWER." his solemn glance softens into a well-humored smile. "BUT OUR MEDICHAM WILL PSYCHICALLY SEIZE THEM BEFORE THEY FALL, OF COURSE." he gestures to his pokemon, "I WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED LETTING YOU ALL FACE MY RAPID-STRIKE URSHIFU, BUT SHE'S TUCKERED OUT WITH A NEW LITTER..."[break][break][break]

an unknown pokemon appears and priam knows jack shit about it besides that it looks cool. maybe bringing lucas lane along was the wrong choice since they can't just mug him for his pokemon.

they get faced with a pokemon that looks like a fighting-type since its trainer seems to be a fighting-type trainer. out of the two choices, priam goes for the more flashy move cause, you know, the move's a flash of light.

"dazzling gleam!"

the espeon, who gets the idea of the whole thing vaguely, attacks with a blinding flash of light towards the urishufu.

When Lucas saw the pokemon he pulled out his phone to snap a photo. He aimed the camera as best as he could before capturing the photo to put in his album back at home. It'd be a nice contrast compared to his dozens of rock-themed photos.

dominic regards the opposing pokemon with a quirk of his brow. if there is anything unusual about it, dominic scarcely notices, if only because he still struggles to keep track of pokemon hailing from beyond the shores of kanto and johto.

his fingers hover momentarily over his selection of capsules until dominic settles on the one that he knows will relish a fight like this. in a flurry of wings and movement, a togekiss takes its place soaring above the field - chirping a cheery warcry.

The tyrantrum mercilessly shook the urshifu with its clamped jaw. It had no regard for safety of the newly ordained father.

Lucas watched as with one hit the urshifu sent a pokemon hurtling off the edge of the tower. Glancing in the direction it fell he watched as the body quickly reemerged. Psychic power shrouded it.

"Ancient Power!"

He opted with a ranged attack lest his tyrantrum be felled in one shot.

even with a bunch of attacks thrown at the urishufu, it doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon. it's like, it's trained for this moment to be beaten up or something, and priam isn't sure if it sits well with him.

there's nothing to be done but keep attacking, however. it can't be invincible, right?
