clearing his throat of thorns, the man explains the challenge: "STRIKE M'BOY, FERRORO. 15 TIMES. SAME RULES AS ALWAYS. 'CEPT FER ONE THING. DON'T LET YER POKEMON GET HURT." the ferroseed does not stir. it does not move. is it even alive?[break][break][break]

when he returns, he releases a cloyster from its pokeball. he gestures to the ferroseed, "don't get too close." so long as they didn't make contact, they'd be safe from its iron barbs. once his pokemon has readied itself, he gives the command for it to attack with ICICLE SPEAR which, thanks to SKILL LINK would fire off five successful hits.

Lucas waited in line behind Marcel to use the Rotomi. When his turn on the machine finally came around he looked through his machine three times over before realizing none of his pokemon met the requirements. "Well thankfully we only need fifteen hits. Because I got nothing for it."

From the sidelines Lucas cheered on his group's pokemon.

priam's fine with lucas lane not doing anything since one of his uses is to simply let priam take pokemon from his friends. this time, he has his friend's friend's pokemon to use.

"bullet seed!"

he releases a cinccino and fires of five (5) projectiles at ferroro the ferroseed, ensuring the maximum number of hits with its skill link.

dominic's lips quirk into a brief smile at marcel's comment. it's about time some semblance of normalcy return to the tower, though he doesn't know if he can strictly call this entire set-up normal.

withdrawing another pokeball, dominic releases a toucannon. the pokemon flutters in the air, a flurry of colourful feathers, before perching on dominic's forearm. with his free hand, dominic points to ferroro.

"show 'em your railgun impression," he says.

dominic is content that the NON-CONTACT move will ensure the toucannon doesn't get hurt, and flinches away only slightly when the pokemon opens its mouth to unleash a volley of BULLET SEEDS. he counts the string of projectiles, and is satisfied that there are five in total due to the toucannon's SKILL LINK.

Lucas plucked a pokeball off his belt after the group's discussion. He rolled the pokeball between two fingers as he waited for the others to retrieve their pokemon.

When everyone was ready Lucas released his claydol. It avoided the treacherous toxic spikes by levitating above them.

"Rapid spin."

The claydol began spinning midair. With each rotation of its body it emanated a psychic energy that pushed the spikes against the field's walls.

once the spikes are dispersed, he releases his salazzle. like the dojo student, his pokemon had CORROSION; it jumps into the air to hurl a wave of TOXIC acid at their foe.

priam opens his mouth to badmouth the kid, but turns to marcel, and then back to the kid. he decides to shut his mouth because he doesn't want to be told off.

from the rotomi, he deposits the pokemon he used from the previous round and withdraws another one that's similar to what marcel had released.

"toxic!"

the salazzle releases a highly potent poison from its system towards the other salazzle. corrosion from the reptile's poison allows its toxic to permeate through the opposing poison-type's immunity.

dominic regards the kid trainer through narrowed eyes, his mouth opening and closing a few times as though intending to say something but thinking better of it every time.

after some brief brainstorming, dominic is left as the one to coast through the challenge presented to them. he doesn't need to go to the rotomi for this - dominic is quick to pull a capsule from his belt and releases a togekiss. the FLYING-TYPE safely soars above the TOXIC SPIKES.

with their own salazzles already having poisoned the enemy, and with the field clear, the togekiss opts to simply be moral support by flitting above their group. when the TOXIC is hurled at it, the togekiss will use MAGIC COAT to deflect it.

After formulating a plan with the rest of Priam's entourage Lucas walked to the Rotomi. With a few clicks of the machine two pokeballs roll down the machine's chute, one after the other. Lucas walked towards Priam and offered him a pokeball. "You can use this, it's a dracozolt. Same you some time in line."

Lucas released the lanturn he borrowed from his favorite elite four member, persephone amavi. It floated alongside the other electric pokemon the party released. "Ion deluge." At Lucas' command Lanturn spewed electricity that covered the ground between the two parties. The few tendrils of electricity that manage to touch Lanturn's body are nullified by Volt Absorb.

[attr="class","mthread"][attr="class","rocket"]once again, lucas sets their stage. his raichu cowers in the face of the dojo student--not the strangest of them, he's decided, but she's up there--and marcel has to give it a gentle nudge to get the pokemon out from behind his leg. warily, it steps forward.[break][break]the conclusion is almost disappointingly uneventful, the perish song crackling harmlessly at its feet thanks to LIGHTNING ROD.

priam takes the pokeball and throws it out without thinking. he turns to lucas lane, excited but confused, and asks, "so, what does it do?" it was his first time seeing the pokemon and priam cannot even guess what its typing with how strange it looks.

the dracozolt does nothing but stand around, still waiting for a command. at least it has volt absorb to heal from the electric-type perish song.

dominic can't help but smile affectionately as the dojo student's gengar sings its song. he'd sooner describe it as "discordant" rather than "melodic", but it is endearing nonetheless. dominic casts a sideways glance at the rest of his group and hopes they think so too.

"just stand there, dude," he says to the manectric, raising a single shoulder in a shrug.

the PERISH SONG while usually intangible is now almost visible - it crackles with ELECTRICITY as it strikes their four pokemon. the manectric listens to the gengar's song and perhaps seems almost happy with it as the LIGHTNING ROD seems to heighten its senses.
