[attr="class","spiral"]EARTHQUAKE displaces both their footing and their opponent. The fact that the tower remains resilient is a testament to the effort they put into rebuilding from the ground up. Like the Ho-oh it's made to represent, the Navel Tower comes back stronger than before.

"Simple enough."

Several winding steps bring them to the next floor and their new challenge. Waking up a sleeping Pokemon is an elementary question that even the most basic of trainers should be familiar with. Just because UPROAR isn't as prevalent as the much more useful SAFEGUARD doesn't mean it's not taught. Hoenn's very own Exploud serves as Fernando's representative, shaking the tower once more under the duress of its morning call.

kyle recalls his previous pokemon from the last round as he turns to june to answer his question. "i just read the pokedex entries for cubone, okay. i heard they're super legit and not at all exaggerated." maybe he should try to learn more about his other pokemon instead of letting them rot in his pc storage system.

arriving at the next floor, kyle is met with a challenge that he already has a solution for.

he takes his phone out, and with a sigh, tries to shake his rotom out of it once more. he's getting good mileage from the pokemon at least, though this wasn't exactly the reason why he got it in the first place.

"uproar."

kyle blocks his ears as he readies for the same move to be used by the other people with him to wake up the slaking.

”Pokédex entries?” Even as a child June barely ever paid much attention to those things so if one talked about Cubone’s and moms then she’d have no idea and have to go by his word. But seeing the way he said that she was extremely skeptical any of that was true. The next floor was yet again run by some weirdo wearing their bathrobes.

But instead of attacking a Pokémon this time they had to wake it up. Easy enough she supposed but these challenges were weird to her. And again she’d shuffle through the Pokémon at her disposal and found one that could help.

Another of Kyle’s that the man lent her to use for this tower and she’d have to make sure to thank him properly but given the current challenge and the Pokémon being used there was no way in hell he was going to hear here.

Or anything for that matter, which these thoughts reminded her to check if she brought her earplugs.

”Ah hell, of course, I would forget.” She growled to herself after shuffling through her pocket. Well, she’d have to do it the old fashion way, which she knew wasn’t going to help much but beat going deaf.

She’d release Kyle’s borrowed Chingling and much like the others, she ordered the Pokémon to use Uproar, covering her ears to protect herself. But having four Pokémon all making a shit ton of noise in the way of screeching cries would definitely overpower her just covering her ears with her hands.

This sucked and if her ears didn’t bleed afterward she’d be surprised.

[attr="class","spiral"]Their ascent through the challenges bring enough clamor to announce their arrival. Reaching the infamous fifth floor is a stopping point for many parties. The specifications of the challenge mean there's very few Pokemon to work with which makes the endeavors impossible for the poor and unfortunate. Thankfully, Fernando is as out of touch with poverty as the League is with being cohesive.

"BATTLE ARMOR," he announces, as if that alone should explain the technicality of their challenge.

In a move that would leave green with envy, Fernando plays with his phone for a few minutes before it dings with an exclamatory chime. "Should be arriving any second now," he murmurs to himself expectantly. For the first time since they've entered, he takes a chance to play with the Rotomi, withdrawing his latest transaction.

"Feel free to borrow a Pokemon if you need one. Just bought out an exotic Pokestore in Fortree."

Sure enough, a newly hatched Pancham comes out. Against the Kabutops, it has no chance, both smaller and immature compared to the apex predator. However, Pancham is a MOLD BREAKER, defying the stereotype in an impressive STORM THROW that lobs the much larger Pokemon straight toward the next combatant.

the one time he didn't get to use a dragon since being in this tower caused him to wince with repugnance. but he had to do it in order to get through this challenge. once the borrowed pokemon arrived, he'd order the trained pinsir to utilize, just like , the move storm throw. with the assistance of mold breaker the battle armor would be cancelled out.

When she was told that this was some sort of challenge training dojo tower she expected more traditional battles than climb up a floor and each one just smack a Pokémon around with a specific move. She was slowly beginning to question the ethics of all of this but hey if no one else was asking questions then she wasn’t going to be that guy and ask.

She’d return her last Pokémon and send out Pinsr. With its STORM THROW and MOLD BREAKER it’d be able to take care of this challenge. That and everyone else was doing it so why not.

”Okay then do the storm toss thingy please.”

[attr="class","spiral"]Don't get hurt. That's the caveat to their challenge and Fernando puts the pieces together immediately. "Don't make contact with it," he warns. He doubts any of the trainers here needs the reminder but better to play it safe considering how far they've made it. After all, not everyone has encountered a Pokemon with IRON BARBS. At a distance, the numerous spines that coat the Ferroseed's body don't seems that harmful. But that's only at the surface.

"ICICLE SPEAR."

Numerous projectiles form around Fernando's Cloyster as it steadies its aim. Once the first one is fired the rest will follow suit, SKILL LINKED to home in onto the opponent with impunity.

recalling the pinsir, kyle moves on to the next floor and goes straight to the rotomi to withdraw the next pokemon.

"bullet seed."

he releases his toucannon, who fires off bullet seed from a distance to avoid ferroro the ferroseed's iron barbs. skill link ensures that the bird hits at least five times.

The next challenge was a bit more complicated than the other ones, or at least it had her thinking about it longer than the others.

When she put the pieces of the puzzles together, and the others were beginning to attack as well, she quickly returned her last Pokémon and sent out a Shellder.

”Alright little buddy, use Icicle Spear.” She’d give the small Pokémon a thumbs up for encouragement.

The Shellder would turn to its target and then use ICICLE SPEAR and with its SKILL LINK ability it would fire numerous spears at the challenge Pokémon from a good distance.
