several books hover around the munna as she switches the order of the ones she just shelves. she thinks to herself for a moment before rearranging them entirely once more. "hm..." this job was sure harder than she first thought it'd be.

after a few more attempts, each ending in dissatisfaction, the munna finally settles on a sorting method. moving back a bit, she shelves the remaining books in their corresponding places, matching the cover colour of the book beside them.

she may have not known the alphabet, but at least she could safely say the shelf looked pretty!

freddy had organized more books than probably he should have. he'd teleport to the cart and grab a book and then teleport up where the book belonged and back and forth it went like this.

there was little to no issue until he teleported right in front of a munna and found himself interrupting her order... which was wrong anyway.

'so sorry my dear, so sorry. although, you do know it's an incorrect order, don't you? t comes before w, my dear.'

While the other pokemon organized properly, Malum was busy speed reading through the books in his care. He found them all quite fascinating, especially the ones about the human brain. They had all these chemicals that told them how to think and what to do, Malum wondered what would happen if one manipulated those chemicals. It would be an exciting experiment to be sure.

He also liked the story of the Milktank that jumped over the moon, that was pretty wacky.

As he finished a book, he would properly store it in the correct alphabetical order. The little Inkay was just so full of mirth, this was the best job he could have asked for. These humans wrote such interesting books, perhaps he should write a book one day. Yes, that would be quite the feat. Malum cooed as he slid another book on the shelf, fantasizing about his future career as a pokemon author.

the delphox wondered why everyone was taking their sweet time with the job when there are a mountain of books that needed to be organized. he'd go talk to them but he didn't want to be confrontational.

instead, the dual-type had resigned itself to just working on his own corner, watching them from afar, silently hoping they get their act together and actually finish the job within the day.

a cart filled with books was pushed all the way to an empty shelf for the delphox's easy access for when he fills them up. instructions about the order of which they were returned were too clear and easily manageable, that he can still keep an eye out for the others on the opposite end of the room.

part of him wonders if he should just take it easy like them and go slack off, but that would mean the job would take much longer. a dilemma starts to form as the delphox stares at the empty space in front of him, weighing the pros and cons of both options in his head.

several books floated around in a ring around the small little pokemon who was more busy reading one of the many children's books it was putting away then actually putting them away. there was something about the cute little pictures that drew its attention more than the job it was supposed to be doing, of course it could argue that it was doing its job mind you just not correctly. after all how the heck does one alphabetize books? by title? by author? what even is the alphabet? wasn't that a kind of soup?

instead the ralts was busy organizing by looks, mainly color, so each row of them would have a line of books that looked like they belonged together based on their cover but one could clearly see how uneven some of them looked based on size. why were some of these things the size of a yamper anyway? could a child really be that bad with its vision? well the ralts sure didn't see it that way as it couldn't really see from its hair in its way but it still managed to make out the story about this ducklett being abandoned because it was miscolored. how horrible!

Like kyle lopez's Delphox, Stormy's is floored by the lack of attention to detail and general work ethic. And, like him, she's unwilling to start a fight over it or draw attention to herself in any way, so she keeps her head down and organizes her little section.[break][break]

Of course, when no one is looking, she twirls her magical little stick and reorganizes the books in @iris' Munna's section for the sake of organization sake.[break][break]

Oh god, was she being uptight? She was totally being uptight.[break][break]

Ursula makes it a priority to follow the alphabet order. Psychic waves emit from the core of the squid-like pokemon, pulling books from some shelves and replacing them in new ones so the order is maintained.

Z - A, she remembered it perfectly.

Or at least... So she thought.
It's only halfway into her job that she realizes her mistake: she'd been following the order wrongly. The books had to be rearranged already as those that were on the first, highest shelves belonged to the lowest ones.

Despite the urge to bring the shelf down and leaving before her word is concluded, Ursula calms herself with a deep breath before starting over.

She can still do this.

Whisper hadn't been this far from her trainer in a long, long time. She was always right by her side, except now. It took a bit of convincing, but the idea of helping out a library, where everyone was expected to be quiet. Not only was she able to shush people who were being loud, but it was also practically encouraged. That argument alone was enough to finally convince Whisper away from Ruby's side, enough to come help.

The Hatterene floated around the shelves, books floating by her side as she took the arduous task of placing several of the misplaced books. Likely pulled out from random places, only to be completely left aside. Out of order entirely, and all from different topics and sections of the library. With her floating, she was ghostly quiet as she moved about the library, a book floating up with her psychic energy as it placed precisely where it needed to be.

If she was being honest with herself, it was quite enjoyable. The quiet, calm location was infinitely more enjoyable than many of the places she had gone to in recent weeks. With an almost inaudible hum to herself, Whisper continued to float around, enjoying the busy work. There was the occasional noise that disrupted the peace, sure, but the quiet page flipping, book placing, psychic energy moving, it was heaven.
