Living in Sootopolis Razz was able to hear about the rumors first hand. The first of the rumors small and just about what was going on in the sea waters. So mostly the fishermen were the ones who were telling stories. Though with in the past week or so now there were reports that lived closer to home, and Razz wasn't about to continue to let this happen. With the help of his pokemon he had been able to locate a grotto on the outskirts of the island, an area where not many from the city focused on everyone focused at the center. So it seemed like a plausible hiding spot. He has reported his finding to higher ups to which he was given permission to engage, but not without another. Which complicated things a bit, he still wasn't good with people, though there was always a difference between how he was normally compared to on a mission. [break]

It was late when he asked to have the other meet him at this location. Late enough where best case scenario the pirates figured they were safe away hiding and thus their guards were lowered. Worse case would be them already preparing themselves for another heist. Either way Razz was going to do what he could to stop them. For now though, all he could do is stay hidden among the rocks at the entrance as he waited for this other person the League told him to work with. [break]

Ruby was still completely unused to doing actual League work, but she had to admit, it made perfect sense. She wanted to help people the best way she could, and if that meant going out of her way to challenge pirates and bring them to justice. She wasn't a ranger in any sense of the word, but she had to admit, being proactive in protecting people, rather than reacting when people actually got hurt, felt good.

Ruby prepared herself as best she could to meet with her partner for this endeavor. Wearing a simple wetsuit with a belt around her waist containing her pokeballs, Ruby steeled her nerves as she slowly approached the meeting site. It was incredibly quiet this late at night, but it only meant that she needed to remain as stealthy as possible. Luckily, that was one of the things she was actually good at.

Rolling her feet with every step to muffle the sound, Ruby finally made her way towards the rocks when she noticed her partner for this. She had to admit, she knew very little about him. Regardless, she knew that for them to work together in any serious capacity, they had to trust each other. Gently placing a hand on his shoulder to show that she had arrived silently, Ruby nodded her head towards him. With a very quiet voice, she whispered towards him. "I'm Ruby, here to help. I'll let you lead the way."

'A kid?' Razz couldn't help but think when he first saw the girl, not a particular fan of her suddenly putting her hand on his shoulder as he rolled it to have her remove it. Though by the looks of things she was only a few years younger so he suppose he wasn't in any real position to call her one. "Razz," he introduced himself with a quiet voice, and by the looks of it her timing could be better as both of his Meowstic came floating over to them, the young man shifting his hands to ask 'anything?' This not having been their first rodeo, they knew the silent communication as they both shook their heads. "The entrance is clear," he informed her as he began to head into the entrance of the cave, the young man really happy this was a mission he was doing otherwise communication from him would be difficult. [break][break]

As he entered he made sure to keep his steps light, taking note of the few smaller boats that lead to land in the cave. Razz noting several torches that have been lit for light not only around where they landed, but several lights coming down the cave. He figured that meant their actual boat was too big for this grotto, though this also meant that there had to be people here. It was just lucky for them that none of them were guarding the front. Were they that confident? Making sure to keep his steps light Razz did what he could to ensure they kept the high ground. It wasn't too much further in where he heard something. [break][break]

As he rolled his shoulder, Ruby was quick to pull her hand back. It seemed like he wasn't a fan of being touched. Understandable, but it felt a tad bit rude. Regardless, there would be a time to patch things up and apologize for invading his personal space after the mission was over. As Meowstic approached the two of them, Ruby couldn't help but immediately smile widely as she watched. Meowstic, extremely powerful psychic pokemon wrapped up in a bundle of cuteness.

Ruby followed behind him as they walked, eyes wide as she examined everything within sight. Boats near the entrance, a few torches within view and some further down, but most importantly, the singing that she could hear. These either had to be extremely confident pirates or the worst pirates she had ever seen. Regardless, a plan was already forming within her head.

Silently motioning to her own Pokeballs, she quickly sent out two of her own Pokemon. Bubbles the Greninja was instinctively slinking within the shadows, their black coloration only making their stealth just that bit more effective. Grace the Gardevoir, however, was kneeling gently by Ruby's side, the telepathic Pokemon reaching out to her trainer. It didn't take long for Ruby to share her plan mentally. Perhaps it would have been easier to speak out loud, but that risked compromising their position.

Silently informed by Grace, Bubbles seemed to literally slink into the shadows, using the move Shadow Sneak to slip into the cave itself and hiding amongst the shadows. Bubbles' thoughts were immediately read by Grace, who then relayed the information towards the two trainers themselves telepathically.

From Bubbles' point of view, a dozen or so pirates sat in a circle around a campfire, a few of them singing their hearts out. Several large crates rested in the back of the cave, as well as more than a few suitcases, likely taken from tourists. With a man on the inside quite literally, Ruby simply nodded at Razz once more, allowing him to take charge if he so desired. He had been here first, it was the polite thing to do anyway.

Razz watched as Ruby called out two of her pokemon then waited to see how she would use them. For now not interfering as by the singing he was hearing they had time as long as they were quiet. Well quiet until he was able to hear her in his head which Razz wasn't sure how comfortable he was with that. Useful yes, but incredibly invading. He at times had his Meowstic do the same, but they were more feelings and short nonverbal answers not actual speech. Though for not he went with it as getting more information was priority. Okay about a dozen, all of them were in one area from what the Greninja could see. Wait a minute...[break][break]

Trying to push aside the pokemon in his head Razz went back to listening to the few verses of singing before finally realizing, "They're drunk," he whispered, or at least some of them were he couldn't say it about all of them. This lead him to think that some of these treasures were from a very recent heist then thus the celebrating. 'Okay right now our best bet is to try to catch them off guard,' he tried to speak through the psychic connection, after all if it was there use it, 'I will get their attention first, try to see if I can stop them from taking out any of their pokemon before they can let them out, I don't know your policy on attacking others with pokemon but if you can just keep any I miss off me,' he finished before holding out his hand for her to wait or at least stay back until his distraction happened. [break][break]

After he went ahead still keeping quiet until he got closer to the point that they were in his sight. Okay showtime, he looked down to Sabrina knowing that Salem wouldn't want to do this so while he couldn't do this with both of them he knew he could get several of them with Sabrina alone. [break][break]

3.... 2... 1... [break][break]

And just like that the singing stopped as seven of the dozen pirates were lifted up, guess that was her limit with both the distance and to ensure none of them could move before they were tossed to a wall near by. Razz already coming out of his hiding spot as he tossed Cobolt from their pokeball with a "Ice Punch," order making the metal pokemon use Ice Punch at the wall and watched the ice freeze over them group sticking them to the wall with it. Good now the the others, was his only thought as one Pirate called names. Razz up on the defense to defend himself with Salem. Hopefully this was enough of a distraction for his partner to come in unnoticed.
