kyle doesn't exactly like sports, and he can somewhat take the same energy as him from the rest of this group. he stretches his limbs, limbering up for more sports, as he gets acquainted with everyone.

"oh yeah, i met you before! remiel, right?"

at that time, however, kyle had no idea of the title he holds. he gets more curious about galar once he realize that there are still people who hold the title 'prince'. part of him imagines a very medieval setting overseas, while the other part tries to convince himself that it wasn't the case.

at least he's sobered up enough to control himself to not verbalize whatever's going in his head.

he turns to the person in the group whose name he was unfamiliar with, smiling as he tries to get an introduction from him. his smeargle proceeds with the plan and tickles his pokemon even before his trainer can get acquainted with him.

As his rental pokémon bided her time stirring with a PSYCH UP, Remiel stood and focused on the shooting range ahead of them with arms crossed. Despite that focus, Kyle's interruption doesn't fail to grab his attention. He looks over and tilts his head slightly... then, he remembers. Oh yes... the blind dating.

"It was Kyle, correct? Pleasure to make your acquaintance again."

Just then, the starting bell rungs and a series of targets pop-up ahead of them. Wednesday blasts the biggest head off of a raging Hydreigon cut-out with a quickly fired Psybeam. It was time to go.

Fernando smiles to himself, not quite making it obvious to who he's referring to. The obvious assumption is Kyle since he's unfamiliar with either party but it's just as likely that he's talking to his Girafarig. Despite the Pokemon's lack of relevance in battles, it finds a chance to shine as his primary contestant. It's ability to PSYCH UP before a big performance makes it his ace in the hole.

"And there's the bell."

Time for them to blast their way through the obstacle course.

truth be told, kyle hasn't given his smeargle any relevant move for this course besides the ability to psych up with other pokemon and copy their boosts in stats.

given no other option, kyle hands a gun given to them to aid their pokemon for the task to his smeargle. surely, it'll be able to figure it out on its own since it's a technician of its own.

the smeargle looks at the toy, confused, before kyle shows it how it's used. a squeal sounds from the pokemon as it fires at a direction.

They navigate the course ahead of them with caution, taking each corner they can find to take cover before emerging again. Every cardboard cut-out of an aggressive pokémon or human is fired down with a swift Psybeam from Wednesday. She's calculative. Silent. Precise. Reminds him a lot of a certain someone.

Regardless, their next surprise appears in the form of a Squirtle firing squad. They blast jets of water at them from behind a short brick wall. She lulls them to sleep with a wave of Hypnosis, however, and reemerges with a splitting Psybeam that knocks them all down. Impressed, Remiel hums with approval.

The Girafarig has no such problem, using PSYCHIC to blast through anything in their way. Each time a target is destroyed a little beep goes off and their points total rises.

"This course isn't too bad compared with the others ones."

it wasn't as bad as the other courses, but it certainly wasn't something they can easily breeze through regardless anyways. running a straight line was much better for kyle, if only because the pain ends faster.

the smeargle continues to shoot at the targets with its weapon. kyle tries to think of ways to make it shoot faster, but nothing comes to mind.

"We've almost reached the end of this course. The difficulty typically escalates at this point." Remiel remarks, just as a squadron of strange-looking Octillery wearing army helmet's emerge out from the sand ahead of them:

"Burrrru!"

They aggressively bubble before firing Bubblebeam's from all sides. Finding nothing but a set of sand castles to take cover behind, Remiel issues a swift command to Wednesday. "Psychic!" And, before long, the first line of Octillery are blown backwards and upside-down in the sand by her powerful psychic force.

The more they spread out the more ground they can cover. More angles means the better chance they'll have of hitting the target.

kyle tries to ignore every other thing that would take his focus away from their objective. only a few targets were left, and among the broken targets, finding those that have been untouched was proving to be difficult.

eventually, kyle spots one. he turns his smeargle's attention towards it, letting it finally deal the last attack and end their misery.
