The attack course seems to rely mostly on Pokemon as there are obstacles that no human can breath through. Not any ordinary trainer at least.

"Pace yourselves to follow up with each succession."

What they need is power and steady pacing. By following up on each obstacle right after one another they can continue to make progress without having to wait for someone to gather themselves from the backlash of breaking a difficult obstacle. As if to set them straight, his Marill lets out a boisterous BELLY DRUM, marching up to the first set of wooden plates and slamming right through them.

"hey wait up! sengoku don't go off ahead!" the charizard was already in the middle of his belly drum war cry as he charged ahead and started breaking down wooden dummies with his own two hands. and that was impressive considering charizard have very small hands compared to the rest of their bodies. kazimir on the other hand was more equal in his muscle distribution so while he wasn't as strong as his dragon friend he was able to break off and arm and a leg on a few as he followed his pokemon's path of destruction.

Fernando's tone is far from scolding but there's a sharpness desperate to serve as a reminder for their most boisterous duo to remember their objective. Try as he might, Fernando can't keep up with the Charizard's erratic movements, making due in between broken dummies as he lines up the next shot.

From underneath the two, he rolls his Marill like a bowling ball, landing a strike among the stone outcrops.

the steel pillar didn't stand a chance against kazimir's leg as he somehow managed to break it apart. perhaps he was under the effects of his own belly drum as well? who can say. sengoku on the other hand was starting to get the hang of how to use his own size to his advantage as his massive tail broke three all at once as it swung around in a 180 degree angle. with a roar he charged through two more as he held out his arms in a double lariat and then crushed a larger one by grabbing it in a bearhug. as kaz watched on he was starting to get a little fearful of his charizard, how much power could one pokemon have?!

And it's a good thing too because his knuckles become redder with each strike. He's not meant to break anything that requires more than modicum of effort. Her own punches are nearly futile next to her belly-drummed hum drum partner. Where she fails, Darmanitan succeeds. She shakes her hand out, knuckles red and likely bleeding from obstacles she thought she could break herself, but couldn't.[break][break]

Even still, the progress they are making is good and she remains alert and hopeful, even as she refrains from using her own meek strength.[break][break]

kaz decided to swing his metal pole as hard as he could to smash the barrels in front of him. he had enough force sure but it was nothing compared to his charizard using its tail to smash them up even more. seriously he really liked using his tail a lot lately it was a little crazy. maybe that could be their new fighting strategy? it would be a bit different than sengoku's usual kamikaze way of fighting and would actually win him more fights.

His Marill plunges through another series of stone walls. Going belly first allows it to pierce each plate but the resistance of the material slows his Pokemon into a crawl. By the time it makes it through the Marill is too unwound to pick itself back up. Pulling out strength is one thing but to maintain a sprint while doing so?

That's where the trainer's job comes in. Too weak to pierce stone or steel, Fernando runs in after his Marill, providing transportation for the weary aqua mouse.
