Zac hooked a thumb over this shoulder, to where the legendary was laying, obscured in the shade of palm trees and a behind a screen of thick dune grasses.

The Gigantamax Meowth staggered back from the force of the combined moves. Its long, wavy body wobbled backwards, tilting at an unstable angle, before it tumbled forward and slammed down right on top of Tyranitar!

"Come on Odium!" Zac shouted, cheering on his flattened champion.

"I think you've got it backwards, mate. I'm not trying to make Bulu look good. I'm having it make reparations!" Zac laughed at the idea that Bulu picked him purely for PR clout. "I've been dragging that bull all over Hoenn, repairing damage and connecting with people. Hell, it's less about looking good and more about making amends. Besides, it couldn't have known how I would act when it picked me. I think I only got avatarship because I headbutted it the hardest."

"Huh..." Zac said, thinking over the puzzle. The markings were clear enough, but their implications were murky. "So if they all share the same markings, that means they're related in come way, right? And you said it was just the one from that ruin? Ghost type Pokemon are often formed from the souls of the departed. Maybe they all came from the souls of ancient people with marking?" Zac thought hard where he'd heard of people with prominent markings. "Like the Draconids!"

The BOOM BURST blasted the beach, the vibrations hitting Zappa in a wall of sound and force that sent him tumbling backwards. He flipped back onto his feet and scuttled forward, favoring one leg.

Zappa's frill flared, and the air grew heavy with ions as another huge THUNDER struck down towards his opponent.

Zappa was hit with Boom Burst

"I don't think it had anything to do with personality, if that's what you're asking," Zac said, nodding politely at the question. "If Bulu knew what they were getting into they wouldn't have picked me! All I bloody do is try to get the lazy bugger up and moving!" He laughed, thinking back at every battle over the last 24 hours that had involved Bulu. It took quite a bit to get it up and moving.

He went to ask Celia about her schedule, but there was a whoosh and CRACK as the AIR SLASH sent Vikavolt whizzing through the air and tumbling along the sand. "Jasmine!" Zac called, running to check on the bug and her precious eggs. They were safe. "Whew! Okay, enough battling for today. Thanks for the match Celia." He offered a huge hand to shake. "I'll give you my email and we can set up that playdate."

Hey everyone!
Just a heads up that for most of next month (August) I'll be on Summer Break. This means that my posts will be super limited (probably just raids, gym posts, shaving Melody Miro 's head, and events).
I'll also try to wrap up the current biome contest during that time.

I have a list of planned plots for when I get back (here), so if I promised you threads during H*T and you don't see your name there please slap a reminder in my plotter (here) or @everyone on discord and shame me in front of my peers.
