Elinor glared at Callan, not in an insulting way but in an oh-please-don’t-mention-me-now way. But that didn’t dissuade Callan from mentioning her steep uphill climb on the socio-political ladder. “Yes, I’ve heard about that. I dare say that’s quite a feat for someone so young.” Geena's smile of mixed pride and worry was beamed toward Elinor. But no more as Callan continued speaking. “You would be correct, at least for me. But I will remember your offer, should I ever reconsider it.” Geena replied. No, her time for battling was over. Quagsire nodded in understanding. While it enjoyed the occasional bout nowadays. It had grown older and content watching the youngsters bout. But of course, the topic of battles would not keep the party for long. Geena saw the question coming from a mile away. For as much as Callan tried to hide it, she knew Elinor would not part with her past easily, especially the embarrassing parts. For as much as she tried to deny it. She was very much her parent’s offspring. “I might have a few.” She turned her gaze towards Elinor, who seemed a bit tense. “But they are not for me to share.” Elinor seemed to ease a bit. “With that said, I am sure even she understands that curiosity must be sated.” A mischievous smile appeared on the green-haired woman. Elinor tensed tenfold. “Unfortunately, Elinor was rather well behaved, for a kid.” The tinges of grimness laced at the edges of those words, as both women shared an understanding look. “However, there is one anecdote that does put a smile on my face when I remember back to it.” Geena began. “I am sure she’s already informed you about the stance her parents took on owning Pokémon, as dumb of a stance as it is, I am sure they had their reasons for it. However, – “ Geena paused for a breath. “- Once her interest in Pokémon battles awoke, she did everything in her power to get her own Pokémon. First, she tried haggling with her parents. But of course, she was denied. However, let’s just say that when Elinor puts her mind on something, no is not an answer she accepts,” Geena shared yet another look with Elinor. They knew it was an unfortunate trait shared amongst most Andersons. “So, using her allowance she bought a Pokémon, a real fine specimen too had a pedigree and everything. What kind of Pokémon was it now…” Geena pretended to not remember. Elinor looked down in defeat. “It was a Whismur.” “Ah yes! Mur the Whismur.” Geena couldn’t keep back the chuckle. “A really loud little fella. But for the week that she managed to keep it hidden it was the life of the party. And Elinor did all that she could to keep it hidden from her parents. From bribing members of the staff to hiding it in the most unlikely places. If there was a method she could employ, she would.” Geena’s eyes grew a bit sad. “Alas, they did find the poor thing…” A moment of silence was shared between Geena and Elinor as they both remembered back to the Whismur. Elinor wondered where it was now after she had been forced to sell the Whismur.
