Sunlight streams from a glassy rooftop, fragile vines creeping their way across the window frames and decorating them with beautiful morning glories. Lined neatly upon the rare few shelves are several books on botany and topography, little notes carefully tagged on the top in a cascading rainbow. And spread across the small coffee table is an open notebook and several leaves in small bottles, a chipped pencil that once rested on a half-written paragraph now being spun around by a rather bored Mimikyu.

"Go ahead and make yourself comfortable..."

Pushed straight to the corner of the room is her bed, a simple white blanket folded across without a crease - Save for that one spot where Rubia sits and watches. Lilith shuffles over without a sound, kneeling down to pull a box from underneath and pulling out a few chipped mugs.

"Tea or juice?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]There it is, her legendary inability to come up with anything to say in response. Even as Locke Jamison reassures her that everything is fine and even offers a ride down, the most she can give is a meek nod, joining him in holding onto his Wailord as it begins its descent into the ocean. And for a moment, though she tries her best to hide it, she tenses at the sight of a dark trench.

But perhaps, that can be brushed away as a brief spark of panic from the sounds of a sudden ambush outside. With quick thinking on the group's part, most of the threats seem to be immediately scared off. Or so she would have thought if it weren't for the strange sounds echoing ominously in the water.

What comes next? Hungry Sharpedos and Bruxish? As she snatches the tiniest of glimpses of the incoming mob, she feels a slight hint of regret. She really should have thought a little more about the team she brought, shouldn't she? But no time to think about that now, what she needs to do is focus on the excavation - Whatever it is about that opening that Professor Remzi has found.

There is a moment where she looks to Locke to see what he does, but as the little thoughts begin to nibble at the back of her mind, she finds herself gesturing towards the shrine instead - As if asking if he'd like to go with her.

With a little help from her Lumineon, she dives a little deeper, her vision slowly adjusting to the difference in light as she moves to inspect the entrance. It's small but there are probably risks involved if they try to force this entrance wide open... Something about architecture and weak points? Something something collapsing the ruins... Yeah, the more she thinks about it, the more she refuses the idea of being trapped underwater.

Perhaps if she looks around a bit more, she might be able to discover something else - Like an alternate entrance or a proper hole that might let her catch a glimpse of the shrine's interior.

[attr="class","hanatext"]The bet doesn't matter as much as the results. As she watches Raziel Beckett zip away smoothly to join the fray, call it gut instincts but she knows that things won't go well. And all it takes is a single moment for the world to distort.

She's thrown back by some force, her gaze still fixed upon the creature who would call themselves a god. And her gaze drops with hesitation, resting upon the bloodied and detached arm of a Kirlia, still holding on tight to her sleeves. Her ears ring with such ferocity, her fingers feeling the warmth of the only surviving remnants of Thea as she quietly pries it off.

Faith kills, young Eirwen.

The words echo in her brain, rattling it over the seconds as she climbs back to her feet. Frost covers the bloodied ground, her red-stained clothes bitten by unyielding ice brought forth by a glacial mare. It feeds off her energy, snorting as she climbs onto its back and charging forwards without so much as a command.

Dimensional travelers? Unown? Palkia? A higher god?

All things that this world could do without.

"Fuck it." Her lips bleed red, sharp Icicles swirling around the Glastrier as it gains momentum and launches them one after another.

[attr="class","hanatext"]When all that's said and done, the dust settles on the battlefield for the briefest of moments. And while she still has the time to lick her wounds, her attention wanders over Raziel Beckett, a Kirlia called upon as she moves closer.

"If you need any healing, now's the time." She sighs, uncomfortably shifting her hand until it finally pops back into place. A slight wince might tug at the ends of her lips but the signs don't travel any further.

In fact, the rush of adrenaline she gets from that soon finds itself focused onto the unknown man. Of course, he who would threaten the region would be the one to call upon a god to do his bidding. Palkia? Its dad? She supposes he's referring to Arceus considering the weird hierarchy gods seem to have but does she care for the will of the divine, those who ignore the ones who cry for help?


She shakes her head and takes a long breath in. With how everyone is trying to tear this stranger a new one, it'd be reckless to wrestle her way any closer, even if she wishes to do something about the Primal Point.

"This is getting ridiculous... heads, I don't care. It's every time with Hoenn..."

Clicking her tongue, Lilith turns her gaze away from the mist. For all she knows, that woman might actually get finished by some upstart ranger looking for blood. And even if she wants to get revenge, it sure as hell won't be anytime soon with the state she left in. For now, she finds comfort in picking her fallen knives, cleaning the blood right off with help from her Swampert.

Arceus knows how quickly she'll make them rust.

But even with how she works to pop the joint back into its socket, she never once lets her gaze wander from the most prominent threat.

They outnumber her, they've taken down another pokemon in her party and it seems like she's gone through her fair share of gauntlets thus far... There's most definitely a bond between trainer and mon, one that she's not quite ruthless enough to break. But history dictates her need to err on the side of caution, her gaze narrowed as she whistles for Mars to let up on the pressure.

So as always, she meets the burning fury with an icy demeanor, shifting her stance to bear the weight of the initial pulling momentum before painfully twisting herself out of the charging bulls way. Even as her wrist pops uncomfortably under the sheer strain, she doesn't blink as she reaches for another knife with her free arm, holding it steady and allowing Marza's movement to simply help her sink the blade right into her side.

Now this is where she's always belonged, drowning in the heat of violence and dancing with the lingering threat of death. And with the release of pressure from right in front of him, Mars doesn't miss a beat, unleashing a highly concentrated Hydro Pump at the fleeing Corviknight.

But then comes the laugh, a cheery and somewhat sheepish voice that reminds her a little too much of a certain airhead she knows. It takes a moment for her to register everything, another for her to take a breath and pull herself together once more.

"Are... you okay...?" Her voice is rather quiet compared to the din of the crowd, her eyes clearly focused on the shovels more than the stranger that bumped into her. "That's... quite a bit of... stuff..."

Social norms dictate her movements, the girl kneeling down to pick up whatever she can before placing it back into the box. With a little bit of struggle and help from her Sobble, most of the fallen tools are quickly swept up from the deck.

Everyone knows everyone else, if not at least one person and they're quick to snap right on into their groups as soon as the briefing is over. In her case, familiar faces would remain just that, familiar faces without a proper name attached to it. She's not inclined to approach them, nor disrupt whatever little time they might share together in the wake of regional devastation.

Nereid sits politely on her shoulders, miraculously keeping her wits about her even as they shuffle right through the crowd. And she's pretty thankful for that, considering how awkward it would be having to console a bawling Sobble in the middle of such a big group (without any proper understanding of how it should be done, she might add).

"You're... being really brave right now, Nereid..." A moment of silence passes between the two as the Sobble looks at Lilith with utter confusion. And she's forced to look back, even as she's grabbing a blue band for herself. Another pause fills the gap between them, before Lilith finally reaches out and gives a rather rigid headpat. "Uhm... good job...?"

Interference introduces unknown variables, causes the tension to explode into action as she lets out a quiet click of her tongue. Her eyes narrow, her Swampert Protecting against the barrelling Corviknight as she leaps off his back. Then, he continues with a counterattack, webbed hands reaching out to grab the giant bird's wings and slam it into the ground.

"My parents have clearly learnt nothing if they assumed someone like you could get the job done." She snarls, the streaked scars over her wrists itch as she remembers the very same blood creeping through her veins. Her fingers clasp onto the handle of a throwing knife within her pockets and the blade is shot with a flick of her wrist, aimed straight for the eyes of the Corviknight.

Why did she choose to face Rocket when she'd barely come to terms with herself? Her eyes keep drifting over her shoulder, as if dorian westcliff might just come bursting out from the mist and chase her down again. But what's the point of trying to look out for hidden threats when she can't even see the one in front of her?

Mars slams his heels into the ground, dust and dirt kicked up as he slides to a stop. Another person? Friend or foe? That face sparks no signs of recognition so her hand starts drifting towards her pockets.
