[attr="class","hanatext"]Hex sees the ball coming from a distance away, letting out a strange shriek but quickly pulling a Wood Hammer from his shadow. And despite their size difference, the Mimikyu still packs a punch, gathering ghostly energy in his makeshift weapon. With a steady aim, he strikes the Emboar with his hammer and bats it away, the shadowy energy quickly surging towards the pig in hopes of Astonishing it. Add on the fact that the momentum is enough to send him tumbling backwards and he's created more than enough space to work with for the next attack.

On the other hand, Mars isn't quiet as able to react as the little Mimikyu, growling at the Charizard as she flies out of reach. When the Dragon Pulse descends upon them, he finds himself seared by the energy waves, roaring as he flinches from the pain. Lilith clicks her tongue but doesn't hesitate to pull a pistol from her pocket, aiming it right at the dragon and firing.

No bullet seeks to tear through the Charizard, only a thin, fine-tipped needle that pierces straight through its scaled hide. Tinted with a heavy dose of foxglove poison, she wouldn't be surprised if the mighty firebreather falls from the sky.

[attr="class","hanatext"]The way he calls out his commands makes things much easier for her, a pokeball flicked up as she recalls her Glastrier for the moment. The mare's scent still lingers all around but in the mess, a new smell arises.

A Shadowy claw Sneaks from under the Emboar, readily clawing at the threat as a wild cackle echoes through the field. But that won't be enough to distract Dorian and his Charizard, their well-timed counter attack cutting a path through the mist.

"Stars above..." There's barely enough time to cuss as she starts running once more, her Swampert firing back with Mudshots as they retreat.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Her footsteps are easily covered by the roars of battle all around them, but her steps remain quiet out of sheer habit. There's no way that throwing ice at a literal fire would work and she somehow curses the panic rising in her chest.

With how long she's been running for, is she beginning to lose her touch?

When dorian westcliff finally reaches the thickest point of the mist, he will find nothing but an Avalanche being thrown right at him. A lone Glastrier makes her strides, taking a hit-and-run tactic as she throws her attacks from all directions. But just as he's about to reach the icy steed, a Hydro Pump comes rushing at them from the opposite direction.

It's obvious that she's constantly keeping on the move, giving commands through a series of echoing whistles and murmurs. After all, their trick can only work for so long against someone seasoned in the art of war.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Desolation rains from the sky with searing heat and choking fumes, her eyes drawn to the skies as she spies the Charizard divebombing them. Sylvatica jumps at the sudden approach, unable to pull away in time and finding her icy flank licked by merciless flames. Her neighs grow louder, agitated as she stumbles to regain her footing but as soon as she does, she unleashes a storm of Icicles right at the Charizard.

"Cover our tracks." Her command is brisk, a tap on the Glastrier's flank getting the mare to run. And each step it takes creates a shower of icy dust, a heavy Mist quickly forming and obscuring the duo.

[attr="class","hanatext"]There would have been a time where she had no care for the happenings in a region. If it found itself in dire straits or overrun by Rocket operatives, she would simply have packed her things up and left for the next, wherever the passing boats happened to take her. And yet here she is, standing in the middle of Mt Pyre, ready to fight off whatever Rocket that thinks it wise to attack the area.

It all had to do with that barrier, the one that had cut off her escape route and left her listless as she waited for any developments. And yet, luck hadn't been carried upon the winds, the next thing she knows, there's a meteorite headed straight towards them for some kind of total extinction event.

But she'd be lying if that were her only purpose for being here. Nestled deep in the tattered crooks of her chest, there is a gnawing fear - What happens of Rowan Wrynn? Is he involved in this attack? Is he going to continue down the path he supposedly hates? She prays he isn't but fate is a cruel mistress, kept entertained by the clash between people and the fracturing of bonds.

Distraction is a killer, young Eirwen.

Her gaze flits across the shadows in the fog, a hand resting upon the flank of a noble Glastrier as it lets out a Chilling Neigh.

"Ice them on sight."

[attr="class","hanatext"]There is no resistance as he takes the sparkler from her hands, only a shifting born of mild discomfort as he steps right into her comfort zone. But she's gotten better at resisting the temptation to simply pull away, learnt how to suppress that notion of fighting for her life if only to give Toshiaki a moment that he might be able to cherish forever.

His comment about his mom causes something to stir. Eventually, it dies out and leaves a simple hollowness that she barely bothers to interact with. She just can't relate, she can't quite understand how much those memories mean to him. And yet, for his sake, she tries her best to eek out even a fraction of what might have been her if she had a better childhood.

"It's... pretty, at the very least." Minor bits of interest should suffice in keeping this atmosphere, her usual dreariness put aside as she tries to put on a smile - Empty, broken, filled with minor bits of confusion mixed with hope? The ocean waves crash and meld with the gentle sizzling sounds of the sparkler, the glowing flower reflected in her golden eyes. "I think I'd prefer this over loud fireworks."

Emotions have never been her friends, tucked away in some dusty box just so that she can be the perfect porcelain doll they'd raised her to be. So when it all comes mixing together, filling her with more bitterness as she starts to dig her nails into his hand, all that he might receive is a chilling glare that pierces right through him.

Rubia surrounds them with a Cotton Guard as Thea readies herself to Teleport them out of harm's way. But Lilith stands her ground even as the Sneasler is thrown in her direction, narrowing her eyes as she reaches out for its arm. A firm grasp allows her to twist its wrist, her full body weight pushing down on the pokemon as she forces it to the ground.

[attr="class","hanatext"]"And you haven't?" Comes her response, sharp as she keeps her eyes on the unfamiliar pokemon. Their priority here isn't to take it down, it's to ensure that the old man is safe and not bleeding out on the ground somewhere.

Thankfully, Cade Atreides does his best to cooperate with her plans, providing her just that sliver of time where the beast isn't quite looking. Thea immediately runs and she's quick to follow, slipping right past with her sights on the old man. He doesn't look too great, pale and most certainly trembling as he points a shaky finger at the creature. A Heal Pulse goes out for any cuts or bruises he might have gained, whereas Rubia readies herself to Headbutt should it attempt to come any closer.

Right now, teleporting outside might not be the brightest of ideas, especially considering a lack of information on the situation outside. To jump out of a Pyroar's den and into an Ursaluna's mouth honestly wouldn't be a great experience. So their only choice left is to stay, to wait this distortion out and pray that nothing else attempts to break into the lighthouse right?
