Unlike the vast, calm waters of Lake Valor or Acuity, the ocean is an untameable beast that seeks to consume all. It lays asleep at times, a peaceful giant that invites all to wander in its crystalline wonderland but never quite slumbers with both eyes shut. And perhaps, it's this aura that draws people in, a whirlpool of mysteries hidden underneath those rippling tides that come from afar.

The stone stays cold in his palms, its surfaces smoothed by the endless ebb and flow of waves and its beauty accentuated by the light draped over. Idle hands seem to obsess with the spinning of the rock but Ryuuzaki's attention is far from stolen by this creation of nature. Instead, his eyes wander, his senses keen on rooting out the unnatural scent that lingers in the air -

His footsteps are silent as he approaches, the sands barely rustled out of sheer habit.

Names, faces, histories and connections - There is rarely a person that joins Rocket without him knowing and siobhan burke is hardly an exception to this rule. Regardless, he errs on the side of caution, feigning ignorance in the face of a relative 'stranger'

Readiness doesn't mean words for a trained predator, the glint of danger well-hidden under autumn sleeves as the dragon slinks its way around the hunting grounds. It means a clear mind, the controlled pace of a heart and an unquenchable thirst for the scent of rust. It means a sharpness that clings to every detail and a readiness to drop one plan to create a new one on the fly.

Whilst Bill may cover the grounds and Temp churns the seas, Ryuuzaki watches the skies, footsteps silenced as he glides over the rooftops with haste. His attention lingers on the commotion that one kicks up, a quick punch turning into a nasty brawl - Whilst not quite the distraction he expects, he can at least appreciate the effectiveness of such brute force tactics.

With a quiet sigh, he makes his move, readily shadowing Bill from the skylines and marking out every escape route present in the area.

Iodine brings a sense of comfort that he often misses, the scent of the chemical always reminding him that he ultimately heals as much harm as he inflicts. When he's not working shifts at the Lilycove Marine Centre nor out collecting overdue debts, Ryuuzaki can often be found in the medical wing of the Rocket headquarters caring for the injured pokemon and their trainers. Perhaps, it's in his nature to nurture. Perhaps, it's a morbid curiosity that only open wounds and bloody gashes can satiate.

Either way, where there is potential harm to treat, Ryuuzaki is most likely on the case.

Heaven knows Ryuuzaki doesn't do that well when it comes to surprises under high stress and it takes him a few seconds to fully register who's just appeared before his very eyes. They were Rattatas in their own rights, always appearing when he least expected or wanted it but he honestly doubts that a Max Repel could keep them away from him with how many of them swarm this region.

Several spikes shoot out from the water, a threat promptly countered by Razor Winds as the sea weasel abandons his berry in favour of diving after the aggressor. The water surface bubbles and churns, sometimes even breaking as a gust of air bursts forth but it doesn't last long. A battered Mareanie is soon thrown onto the river bank, earning Eld a noticeable wince from his trainer as he moves in to inspect the pokemon's injuries. While not too serious and the brutal star begins to Recover, he's still rather cautious about it, offering her a few berries to make amends and hopefully not get stabbed in the process.

A rare oversight on his part but he'll have to focus on what's important, the slight limp in Eld's strides as he pulls himself back onto shore. Pulling his sleeves down to cover any bare skin, Ryuuzaki picks the Buizel up in one hand and the Mareanie in the other, his mind already drifting as he considers what routes he should take to the nearest Pokecenter.
