EXPOSITION

METEOR FALLS WAS ONCE HOME TO AN ANCIENT PEOPLE. The Ultra Beast War has made its mark on the mountainscape, and although Pokemon and the government alike, have done much to restore the land to its original condition, scars run deep. New caverns have been discovered— and the remains of an old village deep within the earth.

WITHIN METEOR FALLS, a secret passage through a waterfall has revealed an interesting cave system filled with flowing water and other waterfalls. Intel has revealed an old crystal set in some stone shrine. Unlike the primal quartz the League possesses fragments of, this stone seems to have lost its luster. However, it may prove useful to retrieve this stone for further research.[break][break]

OBJECTIVES
🌋 The Heatran Sénon Game has been training on behalf of the League will sense that he is in danger, causing it come and help him unexpectedly. He may control this Heatran for the rest of the thread before it goes back into League custody.
🌋 Killian Decker will find an old tome within the cave; the book is entitled in an ancient script which when translated, reads "Dragon Lord."
🌋 @jacob must use his American football skills in some way this event.
🌋 Suzume Amemiya and ryuuzaki amemiya must fight in tandem once or save one another once.
🌋 Alexandra Briarwood must use her "sneaking" skills to good use. She will be able to procure a fragment of the old crystal to deliver to Walsh.
🌋 @chloe and @curve will be able to tame any NON-LEGENDARY NON-FULLY EVOLVED DRAGON-TYPE POKEMON in their thread (choose their moveset like a gachapon pokemon).
At least 1 Pokemon must mega evolve involuntarily due to the concentration of mega energy exposed from the ruins/rock.
Use the waterfalls and running water for cover/creative combat.
At least 1 trainer must be seriously injured.
Rocket or the League must capture photographs of the mural found within the cave room that houses the shrine. The image will depict an Primal Groudon and Kyogre fighting to cause calamity across the region.
Attempt to activate the crystal in the stone using one of the following methods: MEGA EVOLVING NEARBY, Z-MOVE, or the move WISH. Afterwards, the crystal will fire a beam through the mountain and into the sky before dulling. Consequently, a large horde of Minior will crash into the cave like artillery fire, threatening everyone's safety.
A lone Poipole has made this cavern its hiding place, having bonded with a group of Bagon. Rocket must secure the Poipole.
The League must retrieve the old crystal.
End the thread on the 5th page (if you can!).

Chloe walks alongside the path, eyes glued onto a small paper which contained the coordinates and directions to the waterfall tucked away in secrecy. She would arrive to her destination shortly after, glancing at the grand waterfall with awed eyes. The sounds of rushing water overtaking all other noises, “now to find that secret path.” she said quietly to herself, and began to walk around searching for the entrance.

During her search she stumbles upon a goomy, cowering in the shadows of nearby shrubbery. Chloe approaches the small dragon pokemon out of concern, bending onto her knees she would smile gently at it. “It’s alright theres nothing to be afraid of.” She spoke in a soft tone to reassure it, the goomy looked at the ranger with wavering eyes but seemed to be reassured by her words. Chloe extended out her arm, allowing the pokemon to climb on if it so wished. “Can join me if you’d like” The goomy did accept the invitation, slowly crawling onto Chloe’s arm and perching atop of her shoulder.

Chloe was unsure why the pokemon had been so spooked, but she was glad that it seemed calmer now. “You wouldn’t know of a secret passage would you?” Chloe would ask the goomy in a joking manner. The goomy didn’t respond and Chloe wasn’t expecting for it to - she continued to look for the passage, a gut feeling telling her it was close by.

While searching for the entrance, Chloe finds a scared goomy.

Killian's nervous. He can feel it in the pit of his stomach. It's the first time in a while that anxiety has gripped him so tightly. But he doesn't let it show. Hiding his stress behind a cloud of cigarette smoke and forced confidence.

A lot is riding on the success of this excursion. Not only is it his first mission as an admin, but it's Alexandra Briarwood's second chance to prove herself. After her recent capture, she's on thin ice, and he prays that's enough to motivate her. Neither of them can risk disappointing Cillian Quinn. The underboss has made that very clear.

From the bridge overlooking the waterfall, Killian's eyes narrow on @chloe. He can tell by the way she's moving that she's here for the same reason they are. He pulls the cigarette from his mouth and releases a line of smoke.

"Someone beat us here." Orbeetle's Telepathy echo the words inside the minds of his fellow Rockets. Last time they'd used radios to communicate. This was a far more reliable method, and they wouldn't have to worry about someone else listening in.

Killian turns to face the Rockets gathered behind him. He doesn't need to tell Lex how this is going to work. She already knows how Killian operates. He's trusting her to follow his lead more than anyone else. As for the other two? He shoots a glance at Suzume Amemiya and ryuuzaki amemiya.

It had been difficult managing her sanity recently. Between everyone telling her she was failure and feeing like Killian was slipping between her fingers it was almost too much. Despite it all she couldn’t help but feel pride swell in her chest. Authority looked good on Killian Decker.

Do I make myself clear? Why did he look at her when he said it? Did years of success and loyalty suddenly disappear beneath the weight of their recent struggles? Apparently. She’d follow him to the ends of the earth, of course she’d follow him into a cave. She opts for a simple response, “Yes,” Reassuring, quiet, submissive, nothing more.

Her backpack stirs, the pink tuft of a Happiny poking through to look over her shoulder. It’s a little cumbersome having the pokemon on her back but she had made sure she could still perform her expected duties with the extra weight.

Eyes broke from his to look past him towards the silhouette of @chloe and scan the terrain for her companions. No way only one would show up. Lex hoped they didn’t have any surprises up their sleeves like unexpected shadow pokemon and preemptive traps. It seemed to be lost on everyone that criticized her that on her last mission they were outnumbered and The League was ready for them. There was a rat somewhere, and she couldn’t wait to find them. No one seemed to recognize that she saved a life, and instead of two rockets being captured, there was only one. It just happened to be her.

Lex was only a little bitter.

There was no winning with this lot. Any failure was unacceptable. So, she stayed quiet and obedient, much to her own chagrin.

Patience was a virtue she did possess.

Killian Decker's anxiety, whether he likes it or not, is contagious. Suzu's sharp eyes watch him carefully, but she expresses caution. Rather than voice the obvious and inevitably piss him off by announcing his fear has a scent, she stays silent. Instead, she glances to ryuuzaki amemiya in the hopes that he might understand- not that he can do anything about it either. [break][break]

Thankfully, the voice inside her head that relays Killian's thoughts is a distraction. Her attention is drawn away from her brother, from Killian, from the woman with the bright red hair, and to the waterfall. Its idle burbling nearly masks the soft voice of another- but even still, Rocket sees all.[break][break]

Her face is stony, virtually unreadable, as Killian looks back at the siblings. Suzu meets his gaze confidently, offering him a curt nod to his orders. She was good at laying low and swooping in.[break][break]

When you submit yourself to fear, you have effectively died.

That is a phrase that Ryuuzaki lives his life by and it's proven to be true thus far. He's caught more incidents of failure and seen more blood being spilled unnecessarily when the person in charge can't quite keep their head on straight. And in turn, he has developed apathy towards the higher ups, placed further trust in himself and refused their orders on many occasions - In some parts of Rocket, he's known as a troublemaker. In others, he's known as the stupid lone wolf. In most cases, he's been known to work on his own and yet, he's never quite failed to produce results.

Perhaps, it's that: The possibility of failure that looms over them, the pressure of performance that sits heavy on their chest. Recognition of Killian Decker's position comes with a duty to execute things flawlessly, the telepathic channel only solidifying Ryuuzaki's theory as he listens in to the instructions. From the way Killian speaks to Alexandra Briarwood, he can safely assume that the duo has a modus operandi to fall back upon. One less problem to deal with, he supposes.

When Suzume Amemiya glances at him, he can't quite help but stick his tongue out at her, burying his laughter into his sleeves as he turns his attention back to the roaring waterfall and the darkness that churns at its feet.

'What's with the atmosphere? Y'all look like you're heading to some sort of funeral. Lighten up, relax. Anxiety and overthinking it will only cause you to lock up when it matters.'

Whether it's considered rude, Ryuuzaki knows that neither Killian nor Alexandra can afford to raise a hand against him if they wish to preserve their element of surprise. He watches them closely for any reactions, instinctively taking point as they draw closer to their destination.

"Bro this shit is so fuckin boring, can't the league stop wasting my time and tell us exactly where to go." he groaned as he shoved his hands in his pockets. Jacob only really signed up for this shit ass job cause of the prospect of getting another dragon type Pokémon but it seemed like the Goomy had other ideas, that's fine fuck him.

But it seemed to be really fucking boring so far as there was no cute guy to ogle so far. He took out his pokeball and release his hyperactive gible to look around for them. "Gible, see if you can sense anything nearby for us." He growls as he placed a tooth pick in between his lips and fidled with it to keep himself entertained. Gible stared at Jacob for a few seconds before running over to @chloe with it's hands extended upward and leaping at goomy, wanting to play with the creature instead. Jacob pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance with the damn thing. Of course. "Welp he's gonna be useless, mind letting him play with it? He'll probably search for us after if you do."

She was surprised when a gible came running towards her. She blinked a few times in confusion wondering where it had came from, but noticed that it wanted to play with the goomy perched on top of her shoulder. Chloe turned her head towards @jacob when she heard his voice, figuring that he was the gible trainer. "Oh that's fine with me." She nodded, she lowered her arm to act as a bridge for the goomy to climb down her shoulder.

The goomy wasn't very interested in playing with the gible, and gave it an uncertain stare. "Whats your name? I'm Chloe" She introduced herself quickly giving the man a friendly smile, she was under the impression that he wasn't the nicest lad with the way spoke, but she held no judgement.

Chloe wondered where her boss Sénon Game was, pulling her phone back out she sent him a message updating the situation. "still no luck with the secret passage on my end, how long till you arrive sir?" She figured that he was searching for the entrance as well which is why he wasn't around.

TL;DR
Talks with Jacob and shoots her boss (senon) a message asking about his whereabouts.

Jacob sighed as he picked gible up by grabbing him on the head like a football. Gible seemed used to it and simply went limp as Jacob did it, it's often how the man handled the little terrorist. "Jacob adler." He replied gruffly as he looked around before finding a strange crack in the wall, he stopped moving before locking eyes onto it "Gibby, Dig." he ordered as he then lobbed the gibble through the air like a football as the Pokémon seemingly enjoyed it.

The pokemon began using dig immediately upon landing and the rest of the wall gave away as it seemed like the secret passageway opened up. He looked over to chloe "and it seems like you owe me a favor now since I found the passageway." he said as he walked over and gibby came back over to the big lug begging to be picked up again and tossed. "Later. We need to keep going gibby, I'll toss you around all you like afterwards" to which the Pokémon shouted and cheered to as he tugged on chloe's foot to come along so they can expedite the mission.

Prompt clear: Jacob adler must use his American football skills somehow in this thread. Tossed gibby the gible like a football and had it use dig to find the passageway

The briefness of Lex's response says something is going on inside that beautiful head of hers. It only takes one guess to figure out what it is. There isn't time to talk about it here, but Killian makes a note to do so later.

Suzume Amemiya gives an equally curt reply. A subtle but confident nod confirms she understands his orders. If only her brother had been as reserved.

ryuuzaki amemiya's voice speaks volumes inside of Killian's mind. He frowns, eyebrow twitching in annoyance. The eldest Amemiya sibling is only offering advice, but it's unwarranted and unappreciated. It's the singing that makes Killian's already thin patience run out.

Heavy footsteps carry him the short distance to the grunt. A hand would clasp Amemya's shoulder like a vice. Once there, his fingers squeeze with the perfect amount of force to hurt. Their eyes meet, offering the man a glimpse into just how tired and frustrated Killian is.

His voice burns into Ryuuzaki's mind and only his.

This isn't him, but the need for results means Killian can't afford to play nice. He releases his hold and steps back. Letting the moment pass as though it never happened. As he turned to face @chloe and @jacob Killian notices they've found the entrance.

So he has Killian Decker's attention. As far as Ryuuzaki considers it, it's an absolute win on his part - Not only does he get to mess with authoritative figureheads, he is given a chance to peer right into the mental state of the man. With how worn out and rather high strung he seems, there's something more than just a lover's quibble going on between Killian and Alexandra. Ah, but nothing draws him in more than the hostility that burns in the admin's eyes, a mischievous glint flicking through his own as Ryuuzaki quietly brushes the hand away.

After all the hell that THEO BECKETT's put him through, even if looks could kill, Killian is gonna have to try a lot harder than that.

Can't please everyone, he seems to signal. But to Suzume Amemiya, she may see something completely different - Crimson orbs glinting with a desperate yearn for blood, sharpened knives carefully tucked back up his sleeves. Danger lurks in the smile he bears but it's quickly extinguished in favour of observing the two strangers up ahead.

What the actual fuck? Lex couldn’t help but let the growl slip from her mind and into the mental channel they all shared when ryuuzaki amemiya started singing. Killian Decker was already on it, closing them off from her and Suzume Amemiya while a threat was issued before they were all reconnected.

Killian issues vague orders, but they’re enough to spur some reaction. Lex instinctively moves to move the mask over her face and draw the hood over her head. Does she even need it anymore? It’s another reminder of the reality she lives in now. Lex is a wanted woman, her face plastered all across Hoenn’s police departments. Hiding is no longer an option, but it still is for her companions, so she keeps the disguise. Plus, it feels familiar.

Lex takes her place beside Killian as they move as a unit towards the entrance. A flash of light releases her Zororak, Nova. The fox grins, playfully jumping to Lex’s side on all fours before returning to it more natural bipedal form. A hand gently caresses the pokemon mane before withdrawing. The thief instructs the pokemon to conceal them in an ILLUSION through a series of silent hand signals as they approach the enterance. With prying eyes of The League around, they would need all the help they could get.

There was a reason Killian asked them to stay close.

tl;dr: Lex’s Zororak is released to mask their approach in an ILLUSION

ryuuzaki amemiya's carefree energy, his childishness, takes Suzu by surprise. Perhaps it shouldn't, but after years apart and in the belly of an important assignment, one that could very well mean life or death in the eyes of the higher-ups, it is jarring.[break][break]

She almost opens her mouth to warn him, but not even the voice inside her head can keep up with his horrendous singing. That, and she had been transfixed on his tongue sticking out at her. The woman was bewildered, without comprehensible thought.[break][break]

And then Killian Decker descends upon him with a tired fury. It reminded her in that moment of THEO BECKETT. The man's quiet disgust had a power to move mountains despite him not ever lifting a hand. She'd learned to see the signs, to know whether to expect a beating or silence. She preferred the beating.[break][break]

It is because of that fear that she doesn't move, doesn't choose to intercept the man whose fingers dig into her brother's shoulder. She can't hear what he says behind veiled thoughts - and it is in that silence that she feels her toes go numb. Fortunately, the moment is fleeting, and Killian's orders come through.[break][break]

Alexandra Briarwood releases a Zoroark and she follows suit with her own miniature version. Where the powerful Zoroark's illusion may falter, or where their party might slip, hers would cover the difference. The little black and red pup hastily making due with what it had, seamlessly blending the crew to disguise them from being seen.[break][break]

And Suzu takes note of the fire behind Ryuu's eyes. The desire, the passion for blood, to sink his teeth in, bury his dagger in to the hilt. She feels it too, feels that promise of adrenaline, that rush, that passion. She smiles, kindred spirits.[break][break]

Jasper had been informed by his superiors that he was to meet up at Meteor Falls with a group of other League representatives. Apparently, as one of the local Officers, they wanted him to work as a local guide and Police escort. The weird part was that they had handed him a bag of camera equipment and a sidearm and not much more. He only had photographs and the names of the other League members. They had not briefed him on why they were there or what they were taking pictures of.

It wasn't hard to get to Meteor Falls and thankfully wasn't hard to find them. He heard someone bitching in the distance and found @jacob talking to @chloe . He hefted the case of camera equipment up to them and gently set it on the ground.

"Hello!" He smiled and held out his hand to shake. "I'm Officer Sienna. I was asked to meet up with you guys for some super-secret reason. I'm guessing it's super-secret since no one told me exactly what we were doing."

From a separate distance from the rest of the league and those who would be stalking them, a Dugtrio protruded from the earth watching a man with long swaying strands of wine colored hair. "Sorry to hold you up Porter, but you're on your own for now."

That map, reliable as it probably was for breaching the cave system wouldn't help them find the target any faster.

There was another breach and search method he wanted to try himself and it was messy to do with more than one person.

"Give me some time, I'll catch up with the lot of you."

Tapping into an existing cave system was tedious and time consuming. Kneeling down to the Dugtrio, he inquired about the progress, the others were making.
