He didn’t mind having cameras everywhere; because that would be much more useful having eyes in as many corners as possible.

Soon though, they would come to another crossroads—was it just him, or did something feel… decidedly off about this place?

Thankfully he’d stopped himself from asking dem if dey heard it—he wasn’t going to make that mistake; instead he would continue in that same quiet voice, “Did dee notice anything strange?”

Much tempted as he was to ignore it and keep moving, something burned within him to take a second look and investigate what he’d noticed.

He did not like any sort of fanfare associated with pronouncements like this.

(He was more on the ‘keep it short and simple’ kind of person.)

The moment he’d landed back on Hoennian soil, the first thing he would do was immediately seek out the submarine and go straight towards the high offices to make his presence be known to one particular individual.

Though he wondered if the other man would recognize him—three years had gone by and… much had changed about him.

(He was still the same person through and through, though.)

Hm. This was new.

It felt similar to those new-fangled technologies that were prevalent all over the place; only in this instance it looked to be tailored specifically for Rockets to use.

Which was all fine and dandy, no complaints there.

The only problem would be picking which of the two choices to go through with? Choice paralysis was a horrible thing to have, especially in scenarios such as this.

He then turned to his companion to ask der opinion.

“Which one do you want to explore? Security looks like a good, solid option.”

NOTES/COMMENTS:

• sent by Kanto Rocket as additional back-up manpower for the surprise Petalburg invasion, he’s here, he’s back and he’s out to cause mass mayhem with as minimal resources available to him as possible!

• basically what he’s going to be doing here is to undermine and disrupt any and all potential League efforts to evacuate civilians to safety (i.e. yes he is down to harm anyone who gets in the way) and to seize any valuable League intel / equipment that would be left abandoned in the chaos

• is he down to harming medics? as long as they’re not on the Rocket side then yes. yes he is going to do as much damage as possible. this would lead into an eventual encounter with a certain Galarian ambassador who had been abducted by the Hoenn Rockets previously and they will have a clash, despite him fighting with limited on-hand resources (since she is packing a Calyrex) however this is where fighting at a disadvantage will show what he’s truly capable of: how adversity can overcome sheer power

• he’s here to cast even more doubt and distrust; will there be physical blows exchanged? that would entirely depend with the Galarian princess (and if she’s capable with swordfighting, much as he knows that her cousin can do such).

• also yes he will be wearing a mask so there’s that, no exposing his return just yet!

This was crazy, if he was going to be honest.

He’d heard of these… ‘distortions’ from other fellow Rockets who’d ventured into them, but for him to actually get caught in the middle of one himself, well, that was a surprise and a half!

Considering the fact that he traveled with a small, light team he figured—what was he going to find in here?

The soft crunching underfoot made him stop and look down, before he backed away a few paces and saw something—a small sliver of green?

“Interesting.”

Picking it up, he then went on his merry way; making sure to avoid any further contact with whatever Pokémon were bound to come out of nowhere.
