"They're colored by flavor," he added as he leaned forward to pass the cup over, pointing at a helpful sign on the front of the booth. "And that's three bags, so..." He named a price, which was also printed on the same sign.

Cardamom let out a slight gasp as the stars started truly falling, basking for a moment in the sight of them being pulled to earth by the force of gravity. It was truly breathtaking to experience, and she was glad that she was with so many friends while seeing it. She smiled a bit at Hideo's wish, and even more at Eris'.[break][break]
"Now that's a wish I'd share," she said with a smile. "But so that I'm not plagarizing, I'll wish that my family's bakery can become famous for making the best treats in all the world!" She reached over to pat Hideo's head gently. "Now you're a Champion I'd follow anywhere," she added. "Me, I'd just be happy with getting all the gym badges. Maybe one champ battle for fun, hm?"[break][break]

Cardamom eagerly returned Eris Halla's hug, momentarily picking up the younger girl to spin her around for a bit. "Yeah!" he said with a grin as she mentioned the coincidence of them all meeting again. "But it's a good coincidence, I hope?" However, it wasn't long before the issue of the secret entrance came up. "Of course we're sticking together," he said, looking around at the group. "It'd be easy to get lost down there otherwise."[break][break]
The basement looked to be in surprisingly good shape, at least at first. The carvings and scrolls didn't seem to have been damaged too badly, and Cardamom was already thinking about how to best restore them as they stepped into the Archives. He noticed what seemed to be an old cookbook and was about to bend down to pick it up before the monster struck.[break][break]
Luckily, they weren't immediately in the line of fire, but Cardamom stood, frozen for a moment. Edward was already rushing forwards to face down the beast. His disembodied hands reached out, Frisking the monster to see if there was any strange source of power on its body. Nash darted forwards with a Quick Attack, intending to strike at the monster before breaking away, but stumbled on the uneven ground, stumbling to the side and unable to get away in time.[break][break]
Cardamom cried out in worry when Eris Halla was struck, finally unfreezing and hurrying forwards as chaos erupted around him. Hum was floating beside him, glowing with Cosmic Power as they prepared for their next attack. "What-what is that?" he called. "Have any of you heard anything about this?" He reached into his pocket to grip the charm his mothers had painted for him before this trip, praying that everyone would make it out alive.[break][break]
Meanwhile, Edward's eyes fell upon Martín del Mar shoving luka chêne to the ground. The ghost-type was still quite close to the monster, and with a flash of light and an ironically named Ally Switch, the man and the ghost suddenly exchanged places in the chaos, leaving the traitor even closer to the beast than his victim.[break][break]

Cardamom had pouted a bit after he and Nash ended up eliminated so early. Still, at least the losers' lounge had some nice entertainment and refreshment to help spend the time. Also FERNANDO SILPH had probably missed his meeting and he could be gleeful about that.[break][break]
As the survivors filtered into the room, he got up from where he was sitting with a grumpy Absol curled up at his feet, going over to smile at Hideo Kino and give him an affectionate pat on the head or shoulder, if the boy's Pokemon would let him. "Hey, congratulations on making the top three! And thanks for avenging me," he added to the other kid. He did make sure to give Eris Halla a thumbs-up for her placement as well.[break][break]
"Hey, no hard feelings," he added to kyle lopez. The Absol growled at the man, and Cardamom blushed. "Sorry, Nash's just a little overprotective. And I guess I am kinda sad I didn't get to participate more in the actual game bit." He placed both arms behind his back and stretched slightly. "But hey, I got to experience the relaxation lounge first so I can count that as a win, kinda!"

As Hideo decided to go ahead and head out, Cardamom followed behind, after making sure his Pokemon would be okay. Half-Moon broke off from guarding the entrance to follow after as well, giving Arashi Akiyama a slight wave signaling that he was free to follow when ready. Soon enough, it seemed as if Pom was leading them towards...well, she wasn't sure what was going on here, but there were quite a lot of familiar faces, including one she hadn't seen since the tournament.[break][break]
"Ki!" she called, waving. "Wow, all you people know each other already?" She could see some easy familiarity in the nature of their banter, at least.[break][break]

Cardamom sighed a little as he took in the sight of all the devastation. There was definitely going to be a lot of cleaning to do, but at least there were lots of friends here to help with that too. Edward drifted behind, feet barely touching the ground as he strolled, while the mysterious Minior that had ended up following them after the Star Soiree floated high above. Nash leapt lightly from bit of rubble to bit of rubble, looking for all the world like he was born for such a dance.[break][break]
"Thanks for calling me here," he added to Hideo Kino as he passed by the boy, giving a friendly wave to the working Pokemon. "The more hands here, the better, right?" He stretched a little, looking around at all the rubble. "My family never visited church much...but this place was really beautiful before, after all. Let's make it so again, alright? Even if Arceus isn't looking, I'm sure there are other gods who are."[break][break]
He waved at Hum, and after a bit of drifting the star-shaped Pokemon floated down. Cardamom gestured at some of the rubble. "Can you move that away?" he asked. The Minior bobbed in the air for a moment, before its eyes started glowing brightly, an Ancient Power lifting a large pile of rubble away and sending it floating off to the side. As more of the stony rubble floated to the side, Cardamom noticed what seemed to be an opening of some sort. He moved forwards, blinking at the hole in the ground that seemed to lead into the depths of the underworld.[break][break]

Upon hearing that announcement, Cardamom opened the door just a crack to peek out and see what exactly was going on out there. She let out a slight gasp as the ceiling itself started sliding open, before closing the door again to inform her fellow bathroom hiders of the situation.[break][break]
"They're opening up the entire ceiling," she explained. "Guess that makes sense considering what we're here to see, but man...you've gotta wonder how much that cost."[break][break]

Rocket might have taken Sootopolis, but that didn't mean Cardamom had to lie down and take it. He'd heard about the tree that had been closed off by Rocket-frankly, in his opinion, they didn't deserve it. They'd probably destroy it like they did everything else. Which was why he was flying out to take a better look.[break][break]
He wasn't stupid, of course. He had Red Velvet riding on his shoulder, casting an illusion around the boy and the Tropius he was riding to make them look like just another part of the sky. Edward, his mother's Dusclops, was also floating behind him invisibly as a lookout. And he had several backup Pokemon in balls on his belt.[break][break]
He landed, recalling Banana Bread for now before slipping into the entrance, still under an illusion. However, he had not expected to find multiple other people there, several who he recognized from both the Hoenn Star Tournament and the confrontation with Groudon. John Sullivan seemed fairly perceptive about who was here, though, so he signaled for Red Velvet to drop the illusion, approaching with a wave.[break][break]
"What are you all doing here?" he asked, head tilted to the side. "Did I miss some memo about today being tree-exploring day?" he added with a joking grin.

Cardamom was squinting at the cloud for a while as he approached, trying to figure out just what kind of bug-type swarm this was. It wasn't until he got closer that he figured out that the protruding sticklike bits and large eyes belonged to a much different type of Pokemon. The Unown floated through the air, circling and linking up with each other as if they were trying to spell out some kind of codeword. For a moment, Cardamom just observed, trying to get a better look and figure out if they actually meant anything. However, his eyes lit up slightly when he saw an exclamation-point shaped Unown that seemed to be lagging behind the rest. He gestured at Half-Moon, who stepped forward, fur bristling to try and isolate it as Cardamom readied a Pokeball.[break][break]
