His assessment of her is that she's interesting, but does that really say anything of blue murtagh's worth to Team Rocket? Is she an asset, a liability, or both? If judging solely by her pokémon's ability to bring down every opponent they've faced, at least the asset part seems obvious.

Anyone who knows Mars knows that when drinking is concerned, he's always one to practice moderation. In public, he'll never drink more than one glass, and when enjoying drinks with friends, only rarely will he ever drink to a point where alcohol starts to truly have an effect. Today is not different.

However, with a life as busy and hectic as his, a few hours to relax with a friend and and enjoy a pleasant blunt-induced bliss are more than appreciated.

Barnaby's stupor is justified, yet Mars still can't help but to find it amusing. He knows his lover isn't actually upset by the revelation, so he smiles, and that smile is soon followed by the sound of a laugh.

Even through the compact respirator of his Ultra Space exploration suit (they really need a shorter name for these prototypes) the air is dry. A vast desert extends before them, existing in stark contrast with the lush Petalburg Woods that had been left behind just moments earlier.

We can ask them to change their minds, encourage them, win them as allies... but attempting to control them is a grievous mistake that always comes with a hefty price."

She has a lot to think about now, he knows that, and as much as he wants to help her, perhaps it would be better to let her organize her thoughts before they discuss all of this again.

A Spoink jumps into his path (literally), bouncing on its own tail. The sight of it brings memories of much different Spoink, and the underboss pauses when gazing at the pearl on its head.

He stops on his tracks.

He reaches for the pokéball holster at his belt.

With a flash of light, a Greninja is released, a simple instruction being given:

"Follow it and take its pearl."
[break][break]
Those are valuable, Mars wouldn't let an opportunity like this go to waste. The Greninja does not question him; it nods and disappears, going after the Spoink to steal the very thing that grants it strength.
