Sharp smiles and double-edge words are exactly what is to expected whenever the two of them are in the same room, and all of those expectations are met within moments. It's almost like they can't help themselves, but then again, why would they?

Some would think he would be reluctant to disclose information, but the truth is that, for the most part, these are things anyone could learn about if they're willing to put in the effort. Interested in Unown as Mars has been for some time, Mars will always be willing to talk about them if he finds the person to be likable enough.

So far, freya morningstar fits perfectly into that category.

"They are, yes. To a degree, at least." The banker admits, calmly watching as a fallen Gabite disappears into a pokéball. It had been taken down shift and effectively — a testament to the Flygon's training. "When in large enough groups, Unown have been reported to be able to both open rifts and close them. Who knows, they might be able to help with everything that's going on."

While one ranger captain (and Rocket deserter, let's not forget) may be in search of Rock types, it's the banker that spots the Lairon first. Bone white spikes stand out against stones, and Mars is quick to call his Samurott to action. All it takes is one short whistled note.

Pressurized water is shot by the pokémon at high speed, a HYDRO PUMP striking the Lairon and pushing it back against the rocks... not at all far from where boruta maher happens to be (sorry about the water and mud and all!). The Lairon attempts to resist, but in the end, the attack overwhelms it, giving Mars a chance to throw a Luxury Ball.

Only when retrieving the Luxury Ball does he spot a somewhat familiar face.

"Yes, I see it, Anistar." Mars whispers to the Unown-! levitating by his side, the pair having appeared out of thin air mere seconds ago. They stand the ruins, unseen and at the edge of the distortion.

Months ago, when he had asked his Unown about the importance of Meteor Falls, they had named it once more along with ten other places.
[break][break]
Space-Time Distortions had appeared at each one of those places overtime... except at the desert.
[break][break]
He had expected it to be next, but why now? Shouldn't the balance be resorted now that Dialga and Palkia are free? Is time-space damaged beyond repair?
[break][break]
Anger finds its way into the underboss' heart as he ventures into the distortion, crossing the membrane without a second thought, Unown by his side. He blames the DRK Triad for all of this. He blames the League for their ceaseless reckless venturing into other dimensions. Fools, the whole lot of them.

Guided by his Unown's gaze, the Architect picks up a RED SHARD, teleporting out of a Kleavor's way when it appears near him.
[break][break]
It becomes more clear every day: Dialga and Palkia must be allowed to continue performing their duties unbothered and unchained. Hoenn wont survive much longer if all of these rifts and distortions continue to plague the region.

ARC I: RESTORE[break][break]
Many of Mars' recent plots have taken a shift towards focusing on dealing with the aftermath and consequences of the events of November 18th, but more than take advantage of Hoenn's current state, in him rises an increasing belief that this universe needs to be restored in order for it not to destroy itself — no more space-time distortions and rifts into other dimensions. It's clear to him that dealing with 99943 METENO was only the beginning and that Hoenn's survival wasn't at all ensured, and while he firmly believes Team Rocket should take control of the region, he also thinks that if they don't focus on fixing how unstable space-time is, there will soon be nothing left for them to takeover and control. For the sake of attempting to restore things, he has studied rifts and continues to attempt to develop his Unown's abilities, thinking one of the keys to be in the Unown powers the DRK Triad has access to but he does not. His interest in the DRK Triad is greater than ever, as is his interest in taking the DRK Triad's power both to save Hoenn and for himself.

In the process of attempting to gain a better understanding of rifts and the DRK Triad's abilities, as well as as one of the directors of the M.A.G.M.A Division, Mars has dedicated much of his time to studying and gathering data on both the wilds and the Silent Iceland created by Kyurem. This has led to hostile encounters with the League given that they have control of the rifts (PREDORMITUM) and to exploring Ultra Space (WILDS). As M.A.G.M.A Director, this focus on research also includes the study of how Terastellization can be used to Rocket's advantage, and continuing to train Team Rocket members to deal with the challenges they might face.

ARC III: REUNITE[break][break]
Mars' encounters with the Lake Guardians has always been an ongoing arc in which he was one of many characters involved. Mars is still deeply affected by the events of Dawn of the Darkest Day, and he has always wondered where Azelf went. Due to recent events (Mesprit and Uxie appearing at Littleroot), he has become determined to find Azelf and ensure that the Guardian is safe, recruiting the help of priam conrad for this, since Mars knows him to enjoy adventure and he too was once given a prophecy by Azelf.

Martín del Mar’s own Blastoise is escorted to the premises by one of the bank’s employees, POG Bank’s logo proudly marking the golden bracelet at her wrist, right beneath a Mega Stone that remains dormant due to the absence of her trainer. That’s alright, though. No Mega Evolution needed. Her HYDRO CANNON is more than potent enough to get the job done as effectively as one would expect from a representative of the beloved financial institution.
