Summer heard him call her name. A flash of their night together, heated breaths and lips exchanging unspoken words of desires, came running back into her mind. Even in the middle of the chilly night, she felt hot.

She needed to get away.

Did she dare pretend to act like she hadn't heard him? Continue to walk away?

Yet, something was pulling her toward him, like a magnet. Summer's Emboar had already turned and made eye contact with Barnaby. She supposed she had little to no choice.

Turning, she met his blue gaze with her own scarlet, swallowing hard.

"Barnaby."

Summer didn't usually attend festivals and large public events, but she had come as a part of a business meeting. As it would turn out, she was enjoying it a lot more than she thought she would.

Dressed in a kimono to celebrate Kantonian and Johtonian culture in this festival, she wandered around long after her meeting was over, observing activities other people were doing and enjoying some of the food vendors lining the road.

Until someone caught her eye.

Summer's stomach churned, her heart began to race, and suddenly her kimono felt like it was all too tight on her. Surtur glanced over at her, sensing her discomfort.

"We should get going," she said, trying to escape before he could spot her.

Unsurprisingly to her, Summer found herself soft and weak to him in their haze, her lips weakly chasing after his for more than a fleeting brushing of lips. She sighed, running her nails down his back.

Her arms tangled around his neck, draping lazily over his shoulders as he picked her up with ease. Allowing her head to lull against him, she pointed to the staircase.

"Up, to the right. First door."

Their clothes were left abandoned on the couch and the floor, the fire beginning to die down as they ascended the stairs. Once they entered her room, Summer lifted her head as though to make sure things were neat and in place.

When she was placed on her bed, she sprawled out, her body extending in a cat-like stretch before she relaxed against the sheets and blankets. Summer's finger wiggled as she beckoned Barnaby to come closer, to join her.

A mess. That was exactly what Summer Prescott was.

She was still laying against the cushions of the couch, reeling in their aftermath and catching her breath as those pleasant shockwaves coursed through her body. They began to ebb away, sending her into a relaxed state as she gasped for air.

However, a pleasant feeling settled in her when she regained some sense and felt Barnaby's warm figure over her, solid and strong. She let out a sigh of relief and bliss, her eyes closed for a moment.

"Mmm... stay. Don't go away," Summer said softly, lifting her arms weakly to trace a few circles into the skin of his back.

"Please," she added for good measure.

Suddenly, there was a tightening around her throat, and her arm was thrusted over her head. A loud noise left her, a strangled moan as Summer was forced to look at Barnaby from her position. She was absolutely trapped beneath him.

Typically, she loved being dominant. In charge.

However, seeing him take control of her so forcefully, rutting against her and driving her crazy, sent a haze in her mind. She wasn’t able to think clearly, except for one thing that Barnaby could give her.

”B-Barnaby-“

Summer gasped around his hold, her struggle truly showing how desperate she was.

”Please.”

Summer's chest rose and fell with her breaths, watching as Barnaby rose above her again after what he had just done. She let out a whine of impatience and displeasure, especially since she wanted more.

It was always more.

Then there was the touch of his hand, his fingers, sliding down her cheek to her neck. Her eyes watched him, teeth biting down onto her bottom lip hard.

Summer Prescott? Beg?

"What are you going to do if I don't?" she shot back, clearly not one to take orders.

"Who said you can boss me around, Barnaby?"

"Prescott Incorporate. If that doesn't give away who I am, then I don't know what else will," she teased.

"It's provided a lot for my family. I'm grateful for it."

Disgusted. It's horrible.

Of course, as Remiel guided Summer's fingers across the piano, she decided for sure that she'd keep her talent at the piano a secret. She allowed him to state each note, to move his hands over hers and drift along as they played.

Fake it until you make it, as they said.

She hummed at his comment, a light smile perched on her lips. Glancing up, her red gaze met his eyes before traveling down his face. He was close, and if she leaned in-

Crash

Summer's body was halted in its motion when she heard the noise, eyes opening again with a look of confusion.

"Are you sure your Pokemon has this under control?" she teased, though she looked over her shoulder less she'd find an intruder coming through the door.

Summer watched Eris try to recount exactly what had happened to her, whatever the case may be. Then there were unfamiliar names to her. She glanced back at Mars, who began to explain to her what had happened.

Except she figured he left out quite a crucial detail in his explanation. Whether it was for her sake or for Eris's, she wasn't quite sure at the moment. However, she'd make note of it, perhaps to find out later.

"So you were drug into this because of the charms Eris and that Locke had?" she asked, trying to gather the whole story.

"You don't have a charm. But are you affected by its power, like we are, Mars?"

Summer was tempted to take hers out, to show it to Mars. However, given his recounts of what happened with him, Eris, and this man she didn't know... she wasn't sure it was the best idea. She didn't want something to happen to her.

Whether that was selfish or not.

Summer looked at Eris, deciding to kneel down.

"Something can be figured out about that later. For right now, you shouldn't stress out. We've already had a stressful day."

Her voice was uncharacteristically mother-like, lacking her usual sharpness and sarcasm. Perhaps it was because she, too, was now even more afraid of this charm she had been granted by that strange Pokemon in her garden.

Rotom TV and Devon. She had heard of the former, though she wasn't entirely sure if she had heard of the latter. Maybe she had, just not in terms that she was familiar with.

Sometimes, jobs were given in codes.

"I'm an assistant to my father's liaison business. I mostly perform many social tasks," she said.

She didn't need to know the specifics. Just that whatever business she did was legal... of course, Rocket business was never mentioned.

Summer couldn't help the frown that perched on her lips, a pout since he didn't take the bait. She had to admit, he was far more iron-willed than she would have originally thought.

From first glance, she would think that he was someone who was easy to manipulate.

She obviously read him wrong from their previous meetings.

"I'm not known for my patience," she pointed out, though it was strikingly obvious at this point.

"You were late, after all. You should be glad I didn't turn you away."

Of course that was an empty threat. Summer, though frustrated by Barnaby's inability to be on time, was fueled with a raging fire that couldn't be tamed. It needed to be extinguished, and she felt like he was the only one that could manage it. Right now, anyway.

Her teeth bit down into her bottom lip, her muscles easing from previous tension she held. Yet, he lingered there, waiting, and her mouth opened to comment again. Until he spoke.

Summer was going to speak, until she felt herself become distracted with Barnaby. Instead, those words became a river of sighs.

Of course he had something to add to her comment. Yet, Barnaby's comment shot a jolt of pleasure through her, and Summer made it clear to him that she was pleased.

It was for a few moments that she rested there, her chest falling up and down with the heavy breaths she took as she watched him remove his shirt. Her teeth sank into her lower lip as she looked him over, her expression that of mischief and satisfaction combined.

"You know, you can touch... this isn't an art display," she said, giving him a tug with her leg that was still wrapped around his back.

"C'mon, Barnaby. Take it."

Summer knew what she was doing. But she wanted to see him break, to see his composure shatter into pieces because of her doing.

Summer was more than pleased by his compliment, allowing a small curtsy before taking his arm and allowing his Alakazam to send them away to the restaurant.

Of course, out in public with her father, Summer displayed herself as cool and collected, only giving the host that was ogling her dress a once over before being escorted to their table.

Champagne waited for them there, and she took her seat across from her father. Just like the old times, she thought to herself.

"What suits your fancy tonight, Father? Anything interesting you're going to try?" she asked as she looked at the menu.

Though, to be fair, they had been to this establishment so many times that she practically had it memorized.
