[break][break] callista stood atop a flat, rocky landscape in the middle of route 115. from afar, you could still see the edge of a craggy coastline, close enough to the water that you could see it but not yet close enough that you could benefit from the cool breeze. for all the problems that kanto had, callista could not help but think she envied her former home.

[break][break] "skoll! gunner! c'mere." a sharp whistle brought both pokemon galloping back towards her, with the latter swooping out high and then landing on callista's head. kneeling down, she poured a water bottle into a bowl which the lycanroc lapped up eagerly. gunner didn't mind, picking at her trainer's head with her beak.

[break][break] she folds her arms over her knees, watching the lycanroc drink. a fondness passes over her eyes, and she thinks again of @sol .
