Lana isn't quite a capable enough actor to keep up the smug, arrogant brat act for very long. When Cedar engaged and he heard the bells going off for the fabled KNOCKOUT ROUND, he dropped character and tensed before relaxing. [break][break]

Freddy had it covered. Despite his nonchalance, Freddy wanted to win, and he wouldn't let a little bear cub push him around. Once again, undeterred by sparks, Freddy reeled back like he was about to throw a haymaker. He doesn't flinch, letting Cedar move in close before he popped back at the last second meeting the cub's attack with FOCUS PUNCH once more, relentlessly trying to steal the spotlight back.

Freddy isn't one to shy away fro mthe crowd, holding out his hands and gesturing upwards as if to try to get the crowd to scream louder. He swayed almost lazily back to Cedar watching and then holding out a hand before silently going, 'Come at me.' [break][break]

Freddy does his best to block, his more laidback style strugglign ot keep up with Cedar's speed but when he saw the head rear back, Freddy does as well matching the little bear's attack with his own HEAD SMASH.

It had taken A LOT of practice with Freddy in the bathroom to perfect his resting bitch face and even the slight one side of the mouth twitch that just barely revealed teeth to match his pokemon. Freddy had been ADAMANT. This was all about attitude. Leave the fighting to him, that's what he'd seemed to care about. Of course. Lana had gone along, easily coaxed despite his embarrassment to something cool and collected. Though, tough? Tough was hard. Bratty? That was probably a better word.

Instead of his pokemon's tell tale grimace, as the Scrafty sauntered onto the stage backed by his theme song, Ruslan stepped after him smirking at the crowd and lazily waving as Freddy made his way into the center of ring towards his opponent, posing for the crowd as well by crossing his arms. Behind him Ruslan takes his hands slowly out of his pockets and copied the same. At Cedar's punch, Freddy doesn't move and Lana swore he felt a bead of sweat trickle down the back of his neck despite refusing to break character. As Cedar zooms in, he doesn't even try to dodge, taking the hit. Except, he angles his body so when he gets hit, he spun around and lifted a leg to slam back at the bear cub with PAYBACK intent of sending back their power two fold. Freddy's hands, all throughout this stay holding his skin pants. "Tch."

And then a quick jut of his chin to signify 'Come at me.'

Lana fidgeted as Olivia gushed over his work. Which, all things considered, worked like 0 percent of the time. At least how it was supposed to. Ideally, he spoke with an actual...human ghost. When it did work though it was just a pokemon messing with him and his client. Which....well....that's why he had his no refunds clause. [break][break]

Olivia, thankfully, seemed to have it easy taking the conversation into her own hands. He watched the poor blonde frantically misunderstand his pricing and simply waited a moment before finding a pause to interject in. "Ah- N-No its-..." he watched trainer and pokemon get frantic, covering his mouth to keep himself form laughing too loudly. [break][break]

Garbage Baby is enticed, chasing the Mimikyu around the girl. only adding to the chaos. "I- I meant-" at the mention of a card reading he paused, considering that instead of money. He tapped his chin thoughtfully. Olivia seemed nice enough...and he was good on cash for the day. "I-I'd like...a reading." he said, forcing his voice steady, hoping if he was clear enough it might cut through her panic. Garbage Baby barked in an attempt to draw attention back to Ruslan, stopping his chase of poor Yski and settling at Lana's feet once more. [break][break]

Lana's face immediately flushed even more than it already had been, turning bright red. "R-Really?" he can't help but ask before swallowing his surprise and nodding quickly. "Jewel?" He echoed before looking at the Starmie. "Yes, Je-Jewel i-is very cool. Hi-his gemstone i-is really sh-shiny which I-...I- u-um- I think means h-he's really w-w-well cared for, r-right?" Despite his nerves, the coordinator found himself smiling all the same. The reaction from the water type is charming. They showed so much personaltiy for having no face. "O-Oh...sorry." he apologized immediately. "I- I...um...I j-just really a-admired your w-work!" he said, doign his best to keep his voice level, bright eyes wide as he stared at the ground. He couldn't believe he'd just admitted that. "B-But...I mean- t-that's why I wanted t-to talk to y-y-you. I- I...I uh, don't k-know a lot of co-coordinators." At this he chanced a glance at Lux before turning his attention back to his blue Frillish. The pink one floating closer to Jewel to introduce herself. "Yes! M-Mr. and M-M-Mrs. Pri-Pringles and m-me." he confirmed, smiling eagerly at this despite his nerves.

"U-Um...excuse me?" the coordinator piped up, having been watching from a bit of a distance away for long enough before gathering the courage to move close to Lux and his Starmie. "I-I just...I um...y-you're Starmie is r-really cool." he began, red eyes on the ground while a couple of Jellicent bounced and floated behind him. The mustachioed male put a tendril on his shoulder as if to comfort the struggling trainer.

He had to have been since he vividly remembered making a note to speak to the guy before the contestants dissipated. Unfortunately, by the time he'd changed out of costume and ran out to see, most participant's had already left. But now, at another performance...he was determined to make another friend.

Mt. Pyre isn't as creepy as most might think. He rather liked it. Its quiet, and practically all the ghosts on there were kind. Mischievous at worst, but nothing ever malicious. He wondered if he was just lucky, or if the amount of people coming and going, praying at graves and leaving flowers and personal affects was the reason nothing too terrible ever popped up. Then again, he had a pretty good team around him that kept most unwanted pokemon at bay. [break][break]

With that in mind, he found himself relaxing around the place, enjoying the quiet and respectfully moving from bench to bench when he heard the sobs of a visitor. But he'd also noted different types of people that sometimes gathered aorund. Occultists, psychics things Lana didn't know whether or not he should believe. He noticed people that also seemed to just be tourists, paying for goods and services from said occultists and psychics, and that gave him an idea. [break][break]

So for months now, while relaxing on Mt Pyre, he'd also offer a very quick and easy séance service. Whether or not a ghost came to move his planchet was none of his concern, simply relying on how easily some people bought into the whole 'talking to ghosts' thing. His knack for attracting the troublesome type was finally a benefit to him. [break][break]

He'd just been ready to head back home after counting up some spare change he'd earned before a small blonde approached. His Ouija board and piece tucked into his arm. "Oh? Um...y-yeah. I..uh...I-I do s-s-seances." he said, awkwardly saving at the girl before pointing at his board. He tentatively put his cash down and unfolded the thick cardboard. "I-I'm Lana...I-I do t-the seances. 3 que-questions for 15."

He had a basket backpack and a sunhat to protect him from the blazing sun. Even this early in the morning, he was ready to burn to a crisp. Garbage Baby padded next to him as the pair set off to meet up with whoever would be helping them harvest. To his surprise its Toshiaki from the Delibird thing.

And he remembered him?! Lana broke out into a nervous smile as he walked over to the taller trainer. "H-Hi! Um, yes!" he replied with a quick nod. "Oh? Hadn't heard...b-but that sounds cool!" he said doing his best to match Toshi's energy. Garbage Baby barked up at the jock running over to lick the boy's leg before leading the way towards the fields, eager to ingest whatever berries had fallen on the ground and been squished by people coming and going. He's quiet, eyes on the ground for a moment before piping up. "H-How've you b-b-been?!"

Ruslan fidgeted awkwardly having stepped on stage more for the challenge of the contest than thinking through anything related to it. While this event was meant to celebrate the host's culture, Lana couldn't really call on much to speak with. But he liked performing, and victor evans had gone through the effort of helping him start, AND he had promised calvin brenner and nagi miwa he would show him a live performance, and this was the best opportunity for it. He nodded, adjusting the feather cloak onto the black pronged appendages that sprouted form their head. The colorful plumes already added to a wonderfully busy color palette that was his Pokémon's wings. "I'll follow your lead, s-sorry to tr-trouble you- you like this." he said with a small laugh as they stepped on staged next for their turn. [break][break]

"Go-Good Afternoon, I go by Lana a-a-and th-this is Erion. Like a-all of you, we're here because we're eager to immerse ourselves in a new culture di-different f-f-from our own. We-We're excited to see and hear new things, and-...and in exchange w-we hope we can entertain t-the people of Hoyeon for a li-little while." [break][break]

With that, he and his Sigilyph gave the audience a small bow, ready to begin their payment. Spotlight on them, maybe a little inspired by August Gallagher 's violin in his past performance, violin plays on the track and train and pokemon are hand in hand. The dance began simply as such, back and forth, side to side. The easiest way to learn a waltz. Each couple of steps, Erion's eyes glowed as they activated DOUBLE TEAM. Slowly but surely copies of himself and Lana dancing appeared, populating the stage. All moving in sync, and around the dance floor like a real ballroom. [break][break]

But at the music pitches ever higher, Lana lead his Sigilyph and ever more complex waltz. It's looser now, with big steps as his feet begin to glow underneath as the audience loses sight of the real pair. With big twirls and a bright grin, Ruslan began rising as each new step landed him on what pale blue glowing pane of glass as Erion used LIGHT SCREEN to help the pair distinguish themselves from. Moving ever higher, the dramatic spins help showcase Erion's FEATHER CLOAK which billowed dramatically before their crowd. [break][break]

There's no plane to stand on. The panels appearing and disappearing just as quickly as the coordinator moved, even with the dramatic forth between partner and Pokémon. The violins almost sound like they're struggling to keep up. They're still going higher until Ruslan spun to face the crowd breaking his form. [break][break]

Heels come together, and no light glows, there is only the crescendoing music as he fell straight down. Erion is only seconds behind, floating around his stupid trainer, feathers ( his own and the cloak's ) spiraling away. Either this works or he breaks his ankles and makes an idiot out of himself for the rest of his career. And right on cue, Erion blasts and upward GUST refusing to let up as he tried to slow Lana's fall. More feathers flutter away until right before he crashes, Erion grips him by the shoulders and allowed him to touch down on ground softly and safely just in time for the pair to do a bow with the music ending.

The call ends and Lana's surveying the crowds even more until Calvin's voice cuts through the noise. The coordinator is quick to return Calvin's hype with his own, smiling as he held up his hands to cushion for impact. It doesn't happen so Ruslan is quick to give the ranger a small hug before "This- This is my first t-time seeing it!" he said as he let go of him and looked back up at the passing float.

Another scream, in an equally familiar voice pulled Lana's attention back to the throng of people. He barely caught sight of Nagi before a blur of blue and yellow scrambled through. He gave the little Shinx a wave while Garbage Baby barked at his friend and back to Streusel introducing the pair.

"O-Of course! I- I just thought it'd be m-more fun." He stated before looking over at Calvin and then back at Nagi. "Calvin is my f-friend from home. And- And Nagi is my friend form Lillycove." It's not the best introduction but he'd dropped details here and there of them in text days before. He was grinning, eager and hopeful that his friends would get along with each other. Though, neither person was difficult to deal with. "T-There's some food stalls...but I'd like us to get lunch to-togehter." he added.

He tensed up unable to keep eye contact and looked over to his Linoone who had wriggled out of it's trainer's arms and climbed back onto the side of the hot spring ready to try another cannonball. "H-He and I worked on s-some choreography together a while b-back. So w-we talk sometimes about p-performances." he explained, daring to look up at Felix before staring back down at the water.
