As per usual, Elise seemed very receptive to his advice. She didn't write it down or anything, but he knew she'd take it to heart. He tried not to snort remembering the Crocs saga. This isn't at all how he expected things to go. But luciano fisk was a fickle man. It was a mystery what could set him off, but Paxton was always quick to appease, to apologize. He wanted nothing more than for one ethereal man to be happy with him. To have reason to keep him around, no matter how shallow. He knew he wasn't high on his list of priorities. A man like Luciano was had to catch, even harder to keep. But Paxton would hold on as tightly as he could for as long as he could. [break][break]

Luciano says something and Paxton looks up from his lips into his eyes. He felt himself shake under Luciano's gaze, guilt blooming in his chest, griping at his neck. How dare he. How dare he do this to him? How dare he tell Luci anything like this? But it wouldn't have been better to keep it a secret. No, this was the best outcome. "It wasn't." he murmured shaking his head slightly to emphasize his agreement with the sculptor. [break][break]

Being claimed is not what Paxton thought he would happen. Not again, not after an otherworldly wedding band. But Luci does just that, and Paxton had never been a man that could deny the Fisk. Their lips met with an aggression he hadn't felt since the last argument. It is heated and rough and forceful. But Paxton melts into it, allows himself to be overtaken. He drowns himself in the tsunami that is luciano fisk . Because he had never wanted to be anywhere else. [break][break]

Paxton replies in turn, clinging to the artist. His hook around the taller man's neck and he leans in desperate to taste him, to have him.

Of course everything was public, but helping guide others in the direction was useful too. Hideo seemed to mull it over. He figured they would enjoy this. Paxton snorted. "Blackjack's more my speed." Not that he played cards often. His vice was more a good scoop of ice cream after a grueling sparring sesh with whoever was unlucky to agree to it at the HBIC facilities. [break][break]

"Mmm, private eye in the city?" he asked, as he pulled up the printed out questionnaire and began filling out Navy's vitals on it. Especially after dealing with heavy loss." he doesn't need to say it. The death of the champion had affected everyone as a heavy blow to morale. "Kingdoms can be couped." he stated with a snort, his mind easily pulling worst possible outcomes. "But it's not your legend I'm solely focused on. We want your avatarship to stay a partnership. Paxton arrives early morning to a growing crowd around something on one of the many cork bulletin boards hung up all around HQ halls. He takes a deep breath and steels himself for whatever this might be. A notice form on high? Or worse? Commissioner and Council had equally been dead silent. With that, tensions among staff and the public as well. Not to mention the strange electrical and sunny phenomenon ever encroaching. It's all leading to that calm before the storm. He can feel it about to break. He just doesn't know when or where yet. [break][break]

Rocket is silent amidst all this and he can't help but feel it's like with Kanto all over again. Slowly, infiltrating their ranks, their offices, their homes, and business. Waiting and working in the dark, ready to launch another horrible attack all across Hoenn. Though, Hoenn's own didn't seem like that even if the strange notices replicated similar action taken AFTER Kanto's takeover. Still, he can't fight the unease in his stomach either way. Instinctually, he knows, something's coming. The it remained up in the air. After all, the League contended with many enemies. [break][break]

He reads the graffitied flyer and feels irritation grow. It sounds like something Eva Morales said to him all those years ago when he refused to join her freedom fighters. He doesn't tear it down but feels like he should. This was dangerous, a fragmentation of League morale. The last thing he needed was more heroes acting out on their own. [break][break]

He addresses those of his department he sees murmuring in the crowd around this. His voice is firm, and the glare just barely concealed behind messy blonde hair. "Everyone, get back to work. If your faith in dahlia goode and the council is this easily shaken, then you can resign your your position here effective immediately." His words are cold, and his eyes look through his subordinates as well as anyone else that happened to hear him. "They are your elected for a reason. I won't tolerate the disrespect." [break][break]

The Commissioner and Council alike had given them no reason to distrust of them, nor doubt them. Their silence while frustrating was not enough to shake him. After all, some things were not meant to be transparent. Paxton was used to working in the need to know, and for now it seemed that he and the rest of his colleagues, didn't need to know.

Paxton does his best to stay on his feet as the dunes shake and level. He has to stay upright or risk getting buried alive by the giant golem. Joules follows close by, one eye on Registeel, and another on their trainer as they push further away.

It didn't even feel like Registeel was taking damage at this point. And if this was what Dynamaxed Registeel could do- what in Arceus' name was Regigigas capable of? The unknown threat loomed over hoenn. And Paxton, thankfully, remained ignorant to it. He had enough on his plate with one TITAN.

As the electricity prepares to drop Joules and him scramble just past another trainer. Maybe if Paxton stood close enough they could catch him too. "Uh, hey man." he said abruptly as he skidded close to Eduardo Hisakawa through sand. Joules pulls in right after spinning magnets as they summoned a PROTECT to cover not just the Torterra but themselves as well as Registeel began its counterattack.

He ignored Yuina Higashi , Hopper floating menacingly as well. She speaks, but his eyes are trained on the grunt doing their best as bargaining. They're ready to act on that threat, especially after how brutally they had dispatched the enemy Abomasnow. The Porygon's attention moves between the Abomasnow and the grunt, until the dual type fell, trying to take care of it's own wound with bursts of ice and cold. Paxton's glare doesn't waver, same as his words. [break][break]

"Wrong answer." he says with finality as the Porygon began to glow bright ready to lift the grunt into the air and apply pressure. "If you'd talked instead of wasting our time, you wouldn't have stayed a threat." he said, standing up straighter. "You don't know what you're doing, do you?" Not that it mattered. Daring to don the red R was enough. Much like those during METENO and POSTDORM and RESURFACED TREASURES, every single one of them knowingly sided with Rocket. They risked their lives for Rocket. And he wouldn't hesitate to end them, just like before. Just like always. [break][break]

Being so blatant of an attack on them was more than enough. As the air is filled with the sound of innocents crunching and screaming and dying, he turns to set his sights on any others, dark eyes scanning for his next attempt. Hopper's PSYCHIC is brutal putting trainer and pokemon together before focusing on crushing them both against the ground to put and end to them quickly. Paxton sees the wave attacking the stage and goes to move, but the throng of people is just too much. If he wasn't careful, he'd suffer the same fate as the wheezing corpses on the ground. He looks around again, frantically. There's no way to move bodies, no way to move quickly. "Hopper!" The normal type TELEPORTs with a flash. "Intercept attacks before they onto others." he ordered, pushing forward with whatever he could. One dead grunt didn't mean anything to him when there was still work to be done. Maybe someone else here had the answers they needed. For now he'd trust Gunner Graves and Kyrenai Black to handle it, as he and Hopper looked for other fighters to assist instead. [break][break]

They're going to push. Joules keeps close, their magnets spinning, eyes darting around to check for incoming squishing from one giant monster. "Joules, aim for its shoulder!" As their view of the sky is filled with nothing but red, shining eyes the Magnezone buckles down and fires off a ZAP CANON. [break][break]

The burst flies out of them and the Magnezone recoils into the sand. Some of the electricity sparks and spreads into the dunes, glassifying the sand as Paxton watched in awe. Joules isn't the only thing shooting at this thing, but even amongst all the attacks, they all just looked like sparkles. It was too massive to comprehend.
