Thomas watched as the capsule shook, until the familiar click signaled that he caught the Nymble. Thomas immediately had it transferred to his Ranch for examination and training.

A Poochyena would pop out of the nearby grass, approaching Thomas. The trainer crouched down to the pup's level, and offered her a treat. The Poochyena would sniff the treat for a moment, before accepting it. She would then quickly run off, leaving the man and the Scizor alone.

With a sigh, Thomas returned to watching Vanilla, to see how she was fairing.

A voice would call out to Thomas, bringing his attention. She sounded Kalosian, with a thicker accent than his.

"I got something just as good.", he'd tell her, slowly reaching for a Pokeball.

"Don't be alarmed, I'm gonna bring out my Ceruledge. He can light your cigarette.", he'd tell her.

The former Elite Four would bring out Mordred, who looked around. "Mordred, she needs a light.", he'd tell the Ceruledge.

At first, the dark knight looked at him with disbelief. With a sigh, he relented, kneeling down, and allowing her to light her cigarette on the flame plumage coming from the back of his helmet.

The fact that she was lighting up brought up old cravings. It had been two years since the last time he smoked.

"I get that a lot, to be honest.", he'd tell the pinkette.

Though his face had changed since the last time he was seen, his voice, height, and build would've been a giveaway, if she was familiar with the Kalosian Aristocracy.

An Oinkologne would pop her head out of the tall grass for a moment, before quickly retreating back, upon spotting the fearsome-looking Ceruledge.

Thomas watched the student as he approached. Thomas could immediately spot the signs of the man being out of breath getting here.

"Yeah, welcome to Duvet Ranch.", Thomas told the younger man with a warm smile.

Rather than waiting for him to come, the Pokemon in question decided to approach the student themselves. A Pikachu, a Lucario, a Togetic, an Umbreon, a Blissey, and a Snom. The six of them would approach the student curiously.

"I guess they just couldn't contain themselves any longer.", Thomas remarked with a chuckle.

Jeryn, the Pikachu, would look up at the Pichu in the student's arms. The Togetic would flutter around the man curiously. The Lucario would quietly scan him with his Aura, before quickly warming up and greeting him. The Umbreon approached the man calmly, giving him a sniff. The Blissey would wave to the man, while the Snom rested on top of her head.

"These are Jeryn, Billy, Cobalt, Penumbra, Miss Bliss, and Chione.", he'd introduce the group.

notes: Mission Start - Employment: Act I

Thomas' first trip to the Hoenn Region was to provide assistance to a fellow Agent, as she repaired a light generator. The sight of Meteor Falls itself was a breathtaking one, which he wished he could take in. But instead, the Kalosian was to watch the woman's back.

Thomas had many questions about the job. In particular, just what damage was done to the generator, and what caused it? Perhaps it was his natural paranoia kicking in, but the Agent suspected foul play was involved, and that they were potentially dealing with a trap.

"You look like you need a break! Blood's rushing to your head, and it shows!", remarked the Interpol Agent.

Today, Thomas was expecting someone.

A University student, studying evolution, was stopping by to take a look at some of the Pokemon that lived on his Ranch. Always happy to aid in the studies of Evolution, Thomas gladly accepted, setting up an appointment.

Thomas gathered different Pokemon, all with one common theme. The Pokemon all evolved, or could evolve, through high Friendship. The Eevee in his arms was just one of them, one who couldn't resist the chance to spend time with his master.

As Thomas waited for their guest to arrive, he would begin to pet the Eevee gently.

notes: Mission Start - Employment: Act I

Along Route 120, a man walked along the path in silence. His head was covered with the hood of his black raincoat. Boots made small splashes in the puddles along the area. As he walked along, he would spot Pokemon obscured by the tall grass, the rustling giving away their movements.

Today, Thomas had decided to take a walk along the rainy series of routes, to visit his good friend, Alexei Ivanov, in Fortree. With his business concluded in Lilycove, the man could finally pay the Gym Leader a visit, especially after the madness in that accursed world they were stuck in.

For a moment, the torrential rain had stopped hammering the route. Thomas would pull the dark hood back, revealing his scarred face in full. Piercing eyes scanned around the area, looking for any signs of life, whether hostile or not.

A dark grasshopper approached Thomas. It got into a fighting stance, as if challenging Thomas to battle.

Accepting the insect's challenge, Thomas sent out Ripper the Scizor. The towering insect looked down at the Nymble, before looking back at Thomas in disbelief. The Nymble lunged towards the Scizor, tackling the Alpha Pokemon with a surprising amount of force, causing him to stumble back, before catching himself.

Ripper looked at the Nymble, who hopped around the field for a bit, before jumping at the Scizor, and biting down on him. To the armored bug's surprise, the Bug Bite managed to pack quite a punch, despite his steely exoskeleton.

Perhaps impressed, or annoyed, the Scizor grabbed the insect with his Pincers, and squeezed down on it with a Bug Bite of his own. Despite its attempts to free itself, the Nymble eventually fell limp to the stronger Pokemon's Bug Bite, losing consciousness.

With the grasshopper down, the Scizor finally released it, allowing Thomas to toss a Pokeball at it, and hopefully capture it.

When Vanilla was ready to embark on her hunt for the Pokemon that poisoned her Skeledirge, Thomas saw opportunity. The former Elite Four member planned on training her. So what better way to tailor her lessons, than to watch her in action?

The Kalosian would shadow the girl, letting her fight her own battles. Meanwhile, if there was something that caught his eye, he would capture it himself. That was, if Vanilla didn't want to capture them herself.

Thomas kept his distance from Vanilla, allowing her the space she needed to conduct her business. But in the event that she needed help, he would be close enough to step in, and lend a helping hand.

With the Klawf being brought down by the combined might of the two Urshifu, Kashiwagi lets out a powerful skyward roar, as Infinity Energy dissipates from his body. The Urshifu returns back to his normal state, energized by the battle he had just experienced.

Kashiwagi would aid Shuwen in carrying the fallen Klawf to the oncoming Rangers. Even if Shuwen could carry the behemoth by himself, Kashiwagi was there to make sure nobody attempted to attack him while his hands were full.

"I'll humor you.", Thomas relented. The Kalosian took a seat, popping open another cold drink.

"A smoke would be nice about now.", Thomas commented.

With the threat cleared, Kalameet would dart back into the waters to play.

In the middle of the chaos, Thomas spots a familiar-looking man. A man that bears a strong resemblance to Andre Sullivan, the man who made him what he was. And he could only watch in horror as the man was obliterated right before his eyes.

Kalameet's training would allow the dark dragon to weave through the pandemonium that took the field, preventing both himself, and his master, from falling victim to the barrage of attacks.

Despite the heavy losses incurred, they would eventually reach the two titans, as they fought. Thomas and Kalameet managed to reach the two in one piece, more than could be said for some of the others.

Now the survivors stood at a crossroads. Both avenues weren't too appealing to the Kalosian. Whoever wins, they lose, that was the thought going through his head.

But then, he remembered his promise to this world's Andraste. That he would avenge the loss of her family. That he would take down Necrozma.

"Kalameet, aim for Necrozma.", Thomas ordered, as he focused Z-Power into his faithful dragon.

The Hydreigon's three heads would simultaneously open their maws, each charging and combining a Dark Pulse. The three Dark Pulses would form into the shape of the center head, expanding in size, before firing off at the Prism Pokemon.

Thomas could only hope he made the right call.

Thomas listened to what Alexei had to say. It sounded like The Cloud to him, where they had visited the different Terminals, in order to escape the Realm. He had visited the Avatar Terminal, then The Past.

"I see. Checks out with some of what I've heard about what others had experienced.", he admitted to Alexei.

Interestingly, Razz Kingsman also had a dealing with another Avatar of Reshiram. Though this one seemed to be based off of a former Avatar. Possibly Razz's predecessor.

"So your alternative self tried to replace you? You think he was gonna try to off you, or just let you occupy the Cloud in his place?", he inquired.

"Sounds like a shit deal to me."

Thomas nodded in response to her question about TMs.

"Take whatever time you need to formulate a plan, and build your team up for the encounter. Just make sure you leave enough wiggle room to adapt to any setbacks.", he'd advise her.

Thomas understood where the Rotom was coming from, but understood Vanilla's desire to finish the fight. In his own way, he was in her shoes before.

"Vanilla's right, Proxii. This is her battle, her score to settle. And even if it's gonna be a tough one, she'll come out stronger for it.", he'd tell the Rotom, taking the girl's side.

"As I said, I don't mind spotting you some healing items for the fight, but I'll let you settle the score.", he reiterated his previous offer.
