“Yeah, let's head back.” Johanna agreed, with an eager nod. While she hadn’t gotten to explore a lot this time, she had met a new potential friend and that was always nice.

“Oh you have a Pokemon capable of Teleportation? Well, I would appreciate that very much then.” She accepted his offer.

Once again Johanna found herself in the midst of a mochi-related situation. This time a band of Sneaslers’ and Sneasels had surrounded her. Their long nails MANICURED with deadly intent. Was it the mochi or did they simply find her nail polish offensive?

Johanna didn’t know but they wanted a fight and she reluctantly gave them what they desired. Marshadow took point, charging into the fray and dealing with the amateur nail artists as best it could while keeping Johanna safe.

Somewhere along the line Johanna threw a Pokéball hoping to capture one of them or at the very least distract them enough to make Marshadow’s work easier.

She hadn’t expected the sudden excitement coming from Zachary as Johanna shared the information of her former occupation. It removed her attention from the Slash’ed rock and to the fan.

Johanna accepted the extended hand in greeting. “With hard work and perseverance I am sure you will become one in due time!” Johanna assured.

“And I do know him. I used to work with him as a fellow Gym leader.” Johanna confirmed, even if it hadn’t been for a long time.

“Gouging Fire? Ozni?” Johanna repeated as she inspected the slashed rock. Admittedly she was no Pokemon expert so she couldn’t identify the species of Pokemon based on the slash. But that didn’t stop her from knowing that it must be some impressive creature. "I must admit that I do not know what either of those are."

“Right! I will admit. I am a hobby explorer at best. Still, opportunities like these doesn’t come around all the time. So I am sure nobody will fault you for being here even if you aren’t supposed to.” Johanna assured the man.

She did find it rather amusing to see how his Pokemon tried to temper the excitement of the trainer. But she figured there was no reason to comment on it. “Yeah Terastelization is pretty cool! Back when I used to be a Gym Leader it was a main feature in my non-traditional challenges.” Johanna remarked.

Johanna released a small chuckle at the sound of obvious enthusiasm from the explorer.

“Yeah that seems to be the question that is on everyone’s mind.” Johanna mused. “Honestly, I find it hard to believe that there's even a chance something like them could be from this world.” Johanna continued.

It was then that her eyes began to wander around their surroundings. It didn’t take long before her gaze zeroed in some quite large cuts on a nearby boulder.

“What’s that?” Johanna asked in a mumble perhaps more to herself than to Zachary as her attention moved. With quick curious steps, she made her way over to the Boulder and the large Slash that had dug deeply into the solid rock.

A sense of unease welled up in Johanna as she looked at the statue from afar. The ‘monkey of success and pleasantries’ looked nothing like it, especially given the tranced worshippers that were all too busy focusing on it than those around them.

The longer she looked at the display of fanaticism the more unnerved she became. We should end this before it goes any further. Johanna thought before retrieving her Flutter Mane’s Pokéball. With a quick click the ghost fairy popped into existence.

“Destroy that statue with Power Gem.” Johanna whispered and the Flutter Mane went into action quickly. A Beam of red shot at the statue, breaking the rock and angering the worshippers. Or so Johanna had thought, but they seemed to be almost freed from a possession of sort instead, which bathed her in a sense of relief instead.

For all the things this Toxic Chain had affected, this was by far the scariest. To think a Legendary Pokemon could find itself a victim of it. Johanna didn’t want to put any more thought in it. Instead she simply focused on helping the poor thing.

Or rather she watched and guarded herself against the TROPICAL RAINS while her Gengar tried to weaken the Legendary Pokemon through a combination of HYPNOSIS and SHADOW BALLS. Even if either proved to be very ineffective at the moment.

Luckily they weren’t alone as plenty of trainers. It pleased Johanna to know that the people of Hoenn would come together like this in time of need.

The sound of hammer against hammer echoed through Area Zero.

“Careful now behind it, Ruby.” Johanna called out as a fellow Tinkaton was about to slam their hammer down from behind.

The Gym-Trained Tinkaton swung around halting the approaching attack with a ROCK SMASH, before returning fury to her first victim with a second ROCK SMASH.

Johanna eased a bit seeing her own Tinkaton easily deal with the attackers. Though for all the ease she felt that near constant nauseous feeling she was getting whenever she was in areas of high Mochi-Concentration continued.

Lava Cookies sure were delicious. She felt almost bad for munching on the treat while her Claydol was dealing with the hostile TOXIC CHAIN afflicted Pokemon.

They didn’t prove much of an issue though, which Johanna found a bit weird. Maybe it had something to do with their poisoned partners who seemed horrible izzy and even nauseous.

“Clay, remember to be gentle, they are not at fault for what they are doing.” She reminded the PSYCHIC-Type as the Claydol sent another victim flying.

Johanna had adorned had covered herself up as best she could. Mask, safety goggles, glovers, and layers upon layers of clothes. And still, she feared it might not be enough for the pollen that had been spread through Rustboro City.

But dangerous or not she had to help, like always. This would’ve been as easy as BUTTERING warm Toast had she actually owned a proper Hazmat suit. Alas she did not.

While Vileplume was ding what it could to calm the spore-spreadings with its own SLEEP POWDER and SWEET SCENT, Johanna was doing what she could to take stock of it all, even threw a Pokeball once or twice just for good measure.

This Mochi-Madness was getting too close for comfort. Now it reached her own backyard of Ever Grande City.

Feelings of frustration were growing within the young Ever Grande Native. But she pushed them aside and focused on helping as many as she could. As poisoned Arbok attacked civilians and League Trainers, she metaphorically jumped into the fray.

Her twin Seviper’s attacking in tandem and defeating poisoned Arbok one by one by coiling around, CRUNCH’ing down on them until they were no longer able to fight, though the Arbok certainly did their best, to the point were Johanna began to notice abilities they ought not have.

All while Johanna couldn’t help but fear what all of this would lead up to as well as noticing the continued feeling of being unwell.

Abandoned ware houses weren’t safe either it seemed. Droves of Weezing had made their way into these unfortunate places and now threatened dealing major damage to people and structures.

Of course Johanna came here to help as well this time as well. By her Side was Gengar.

“Put them to sleep, we don’t want to risk them self destructing.” Johanna would guide the Ghost as it began to do it’s best, beaming the poisoned poison types with HYPNOSIS to ease their aggression and self destructive tendencies.
