[break][break] "Let's go, then."[break][break] A shiver runs down his spine as he stare at the squadron of machinery once again making their way towards them. The assault is endless. It's as if with each domino that falls down, another is erected right in it's place, as though all her tied together by the same marionette strings. [break][break] Without waiting, Ollie and his Wyrdeer take after the flaming trio, ready to keep the worst of their flames at bay. [break][break] "Hops, you heard her! Keep the fire to the edges. Think of it like a forest fire — make sure it doesn't get beyond the borders!"[break][break] The Blastoise lets out a shout of understanding, body glowing with TERACRYSTALLIZED energy, as it's pistons shoot towards the flames that near too close to the civilians, or too close to the edge of the town. Hops uses the scores in the earth from the scorching magma to his advantage, flooding through them like a moat, as the Wyrdeer keeps the rest of the intruders at bay within their glimmering dome. [break][break] Hooves clatter against the ground, following PENELOPE LIVY, until there is a sudden wave of overwhelming nostalgia.[break][break] 'What the -'[break][break] The Head Ranger buckles against his Wyrdeer, who lets out a sudden whinny of concern, as the psychic waves race through his trainer. Gloved fingers grasp against it's horns — [break][break] 'That's a person. That's a memory. That's —'[break][break] "Penny!" Ollie calls, once again, a wave of nostalgia rushing through him just as clear as the waves of HYDRO PUMP that splash against the dredges of her ENVIOUS magma, or the electricity that scorches through fallen Genesect soldiers. "It's — "[break][break] When he and Eva Morales were kids, they would play in the yard, just like this. She would smile wide whenever she found something interesting or fun in the lake that they would swim in, telling him exactly how Horsea swam in the summertime, or how Pidgey flocked together in the winter.[break][break] When he and Caleb Harcourt were teenagers, grass-stained jeans and stupid grins and soccer balls kicked under the sky bled with stars, they'd race through the streets just like this.[break][break] 'When he and annalise henderson wrote letters upon letters upon letters, before he returned back to Hoenn, when he was stationed in Kalos, he would tell her about all the different things that he could see from the Kalosian mountaintops, how far he could see, how connected everything was, in despite of everything that was going on in the world. [break][break] Despite the words that he can't say, of course it's Tofu who recognizes it. Tofu, his closest friend. ELECTRICITY fizzles from a fallen Rocket grunt, though more and more pile in through the streets that PENELOPE LIVY tries to burn away. [break][break] But hearing Ollie's cry, the Pikachu gaze immediately darts towards an alleyway previously hidden. It isn't where the rockets are piling in, where the Genesects buzz in like a hoard of robotic flies. [break][break] "It's over here!"[break][break] And just like that, Tofu rushes directly into the fray, taking advantage of the sudden turn. He blazes forward and sprints ahead of both humans, TRAILBLAZING a path ahead of them — because he can see the light, just as ollie morales can feel it. [break][break] The center of all of the chaos. [break][break] And, regardless of whatever may come, he dives right in. [break][break] [break] [attr="class","oocnote"] [attr="class","icon-league"] ollie follows penny into the city and tries to stop the city from getting damaged too badly by magma, supporting her with his Blastoise's WATER TERA TYPE and HYDRO PUMP. [break][break] fenelle's rockets and genesect squadrons pile more and more through the city streets as a result of all the damage, and also them signaling as they follow pellie through the streets [break][break] ollie follows, until the PSYCHIC energy overwhelms him. due to his GOOD SOUL, Fenelle Miller's NOSTALGIA waves target him directly and distract him, and he realizes that they're headed the wrong way. TOFU, being his partner pokemon, immediately notices and bolts down a forgotten pathway — right to the center of where fen is, and uses TRAILBLAZE to attack.
