[break][break] his stomach rumbled, reminding him that he hadn't quite eaten earlier that day. he's had a half-eaten roast beef sandwich that he'd eaten earlier in the day at annalise henderson's insistence — 'you're a head ranger, ollie. you have to remember to eat' — because he had a horrible habit of forgetting to eat otherwise.

[break][break] thinking of his next meal, ollie isn't prepared for the fact that something - or someone - has already marked him as theirs. his emerald eyes widen perceptibly at the sudden movement to his side, the silver-sheen of a dagger that cuts against the leather of his uniform, sloughing his ranger comms off his belt and tumbling to the ground.

[break][break] quickly, the head ranger springs backwards as a brilliant blue light erupts in front of him — TOFU surges forward to protect his trainer, a crackling DISCHARGE shooting towards the figure that tried to slice him into two.
