With a scoff, a hand thrown forward, and a look towards Dr. Rhythm, she quickly lets Alec know she isn't worried. "I'm a Ranger, that's just normal for me!" She grins happily, and welcomes the challenge! If a bandit wanted to come try and hurt her, or her Pokemon, Dr. Rhythm alone would take them down, let alone Mr. Business! So when she passes it off as easy, she doesn't see Alec as rude at all.[break][break]

Inferno, Veda, and Kaminari. She looks them over. Charizard... Dragonite... Pikachu. She gives a wide grin, especially when Kaminari tries to imitate.[break][break]

With a giggle, Genny makes a smile, making the shaka signal towards Kaminari. He was trying! That's what mattered! Dr. Rhythm acknowledges it too, leans over and gives Kaminari the closest thing to a fist bump he can. Kinship and all, Electric Types be like that.[break][break]

When Alec says to go, Genny is quick to follow, as she begins jogging in place, and following head, Dr. Rhythm running behind her. Then comes the first question, and she begins pulling herself up a rock, hoisting herself up. "Moved here a few months back! Got myself an apartment in Slateport, and work under the Slateport Ranger HQ!" She announces, Dr. Rhythm now beneath her to give her a lift with both hands below, ready to hoist her up.[break][break]

Alec wasn't the only one climbing the mountain today! In her cute as a button set of workout clothes, she was stretching, and doing so with her Toxtricity, the Low Amped Dr. Rhythm, who joined her in her fitness exercises! Left arm over her head, body tilt to side, switch to the right! Then, reach for the toes, and run in place![break][break]

Now, running in front of Dr. Rhythm, the sweetheart redhead would notice the orange hair coming up on her front, and she skids to a quick halt, her ponytail of hair flowing in the breeze.[break][break]

"Hello! You climbing today? Need a partner?" This was twofold; one in order to climb it and know she could. Two, to fit into her Ranger outfit a little better, she needed to do this! So, she would! "Working together, we might have a better time! My name is Genny!" Out comes her manicured hand, orange nails matching her hair oustretched and ready to climb, waiting a handshake![break][break]

Dr. Rhythm gives Alec the 'shaka' signal, as well as the Charizard, the Dragonite, and Pikachu.[break]

So Sunny didn't either, huh? She can't blame her, Genevieve was a new recruit at the time, but when she talks about her dream, Genny begins to run forward, skipping on her feet, as she spins in place, throwing arms wide out, and eyes to the sky. "Uh-huh! I get to help people! What better profession is there?" To Genny, this was the dream. Sunny was right! It's only made better with her belief!

Genny is grinning and giggling herself, and practically dances on her heel, spinning in place, as she explains how she'd help with any question, and her support.

"Same from me to you! Just consider me a great new friend to assist you in anything you need!" With a clap of her hands together, she shows her winning grin. If she felt comfortable, so would Sunny, that's how she saw it.

When Sunny's pretty eyes are caught, Genny turns around to look the same way, curious. It's glowing! Oooh! It could be-

The glowing figure has Genny excited, and she jumps in place. "Let's go see! Come on!" And grabbing Sunny's hand, she begins to pull her along, beginning to run, bouncing on each step of her four foot eleven frame, intent to get to this glowing object! For her new great friend!

With a smile, Kazimir seemed to take care of a Pokemon to boot, her hands moving behind her back, her boots stepping closer and squishing with the snow below. Hope is all she can have here. A hope to bring those frozen back to life, a hope to protect those in so much pain and help them.

Drearily, she almost lets it get to her.

But quickly, she changes perspective at the potential Kaz brought up. Her dreary smile clears up, and the sun is back on her lips. "Sure is. It'll be nice to find them homes, at least until the ice and snow clears up." She looks towards a Sneasel, but doesn't look too interested. She was fine where she was right now, after all. No pain, A-okay!

"One more lap should do!"

The giggle stops. An Elite Ranger, hm. With a Flareon? That would keep him cold, sure, but it's far too cold to be going out like this, even so. Protection is important!

As Clyde gives a yip, Genny hoists herself back up, happily smiling to the Flareon. He was so sweet!

With the explanation of why, it gave Genny an idea of how to approach from there. With how cold the ice and snow is, how she blame him? This was awful, and with only Mr. Business out, providing some heat, now picking up from the snow, what else could they do?

"Well, Kyurem has to get tired sometime, so it'll be spring before you know it! Just gotta let the Watchog see its shadow!" Always a silver lining with Genny, and as she holds a hand out. "Oh, I'm Cadet Cromwell, Slateport Ranger!"

Aw, he was sweet. She forgets, a moment, how troubling the gator duo was, and instead focuses on Isaac's petting of Watson. The gator was a sweet little thing, and a little troublesome, but sweet! As she moves to ruffle the little gator's scales, the other gator comes back with a branch of their own. Filled with berries for Watson to enjoy, leaving Genny in a state of shock... only to begin writing again.

Kinship correct. Berries offered from Totodile repaid. 2:19 PM!

When she puts away the branch, she attempts to scratch under Watson's chomper, before he would go enjoy his own supper, and with it giving Genny a space to respond.

"Sounds like someone I know. Dr. Rhythm was that way too. Big Toxtricity my captain gave me, and he and I? We didn't see eye to eye at all. But over the past few days, he's been so sweet!" She remembers how she had to win over the Low Amped Toxtricity with Tam Fawley, and gives a sigh at the memory. How sweet it was the week after for Dr. Rhythm to pick Genny flowers the day after.

Maybe Isaac was right. Who knew, this world was so much bigger, and even the most unlikely pairings were the best.

She nods in admittance. "You're absolutely right. Maybe one will." The Fuecoco begins to cook some of the berries for his friend, doing a small ember over a huge roast of a flamethrower, cooking them to a certain heat to melt the insides. Like a big berry smoothie. "Guess I'll have to find out."

She leans down, looking to the Fuecoco. The mission was failed, but she'd come back with so much good knowledge. To her surprise, the Fuecoco offered one of those berry smoothies to Isaac and one to Genny.

With a giggle, she snatches it, and looks it over.

This was okay too. "Mind helping me collect some data? Just a taste test, to see if it's any good!" Spoiler alert; it wasn't. And as Genny takes a bite, it's clear as day on her face. It was burnt and undercooked at the same time, and she could feel her face turning blue. A cold sweat. Yet, she finds a way to swallow. The Fuecoco looked happy she liked his gift! Next! Isaac!

Had Genny seen what Elio had done, she'd have probably been cross with him. Like, chop to the back of the head, and silent treatment. Instead, she isn't looking, moving to pat Lammy on the back as she smiles lovingly towards him. Already, Ikarus proved to be a good boyfriend! Walking down the ceiling, distracting him. That kind of fear down here can debilitate, but Genny is happy Ikarus knows how to keep him off it.[break][break]

Here, Genny thought, she'd have to keep him safe. But Ikarus was proving to be everything she could have wanted for him. Lammy was fine. It does let her be more cozy with Elio for a short moment, as she pushes her head onto his shoulder.[break][break]

"They're so cute together." She finds her own courage as she tightens a grip on Elio's hand. "I love you, Elio."[break][break]

When Elio sees a fish, her own naivety has her quickly turn around, and prepare Dr. Rhythm to lay down some funk. She doesn't notice the Gyarados coming out, but she does notice something else.[break][break]

"Wait... what?" A terrible cough begins coming from her throat. It was probably nothing. Maybe Genny was getting sick.[break][break]

She leads the charge for what feels like ten or so minutes within this watery aerospace, Dr. Rhythm following her diligently. Lammy would be fine with Ikarus, even with a fish nearby, but more than that, as she got further away, her cough continues, with it the start of dark bags beneath her eyes. She could have sworn she just saw something in the seaweeds... home. Her own mom's face.[break][break]

The horror show begins, however, when she places her hand against what feels like a wall, and her raspy coughs continue much, much louder than before. Something was on her neck.[break][break]

A barnacle, skin-colored, like a growth upon her skin itself, malignant. She can't stop hacking up a lung, and each time she does, she grasps towards it, finally understanding what was going on. Her left hand too, the one that held Elio's own, it had the same barnacle on it. It looked like it was attached to the vein itself, digging beneath the skin. It's here, when the real danger comes in.[break][break]

Blood.[break][break]

Genny coughs it up, throwing a hand towards a wall. The deeper they go... they were going to get worse. Genny realized it now. They needed to leave. But Genevieve can't even say it. That barnacle on her throat has her wheezing, as she hacks up her lungs. She can't speak, she can say nothing. Dr. Rhythm quickly pats her back, sweetly but unhelpfully, as her hazel eyes look towards Lammy, Ikarus, and Elio.[break][break]

Behind her? If they so looked at her, a jellyfish monster now. Tentacles outstretched and ready. And for good measure, another one, hidden from view. Dr. Rhythm quickly rushes in to deliver the blue lightning torrent of an OVERDRIVE to the jellyfish, but Genny can't speak.[break][break]

They needed to go. Now.[break]

Short-lived as it may have been, Genevieve quite enjoyed the dance with luka chêne , to a degree that had her cheeks flushed as they finished. Perhaps it's the champagne talking, but she finds Ms. Pink beautiful in every regard. Maybe it was the intimacy of being alone with her, maybe it's the fact that she quite likes that intimacy.

Who was to say?

With the smile, and their hands still together. "It would be an honor, Miss!" She would proceed to, if given consent, place the hand towards her lips, and do what Elio did for her. A quick peck on the hand. "Where to, madam?" She says, attempting to channel a little of a Galarian accent. She was from there, so it comes a little easy.

A little... too easy.

Still, an exhibit? That sounds like a fun date! Not that this is a date of course, just a fun little roundabout with two gorgeous ladies!

There was no way Genevieve would fail, no way, no how! So as the Pokeball is given, Genny grabs it, and looks over it, listening to Tam speak while feeling the weight in her hand.

A Toxtricity? That's not usually her type of Pokemon, so she thinks. They were a thing in Galar, if she recalls, and actually... she feels her face become slightly blue. She remembered being slightly afraid of Toxtricity. Fearing one was in her closet when she was a child, or coming to eat her and bury her bones or something. This would not be a piece of cake.

That was child Genny though. She shakes her head, and looks to her Captain. "None needed. I'm on the case." And then comes the release.

The thing about Low Amp Toxtricity was that no matter what, it keeps its cool. That's something Genny knows little of, and when the purple beast explodes out the Pokeball, he takes a moment to analyze his surroundings, before laying on the ground, head on the dirt, and closing his eyes. He wanted a nap.

Slapping her face, Genny would feel the pain to get over her childish fears, as she moved to stand right above the Toxtricity's head, and with both hands on her hips, she calls out. "Hello! It's so great to meet you!"

Its eyes droop open, and he stares Genny down... turning on his side to look away.

Moving around the rather rude Poison Electric lizard, Genny sits in front of him. "Sooooo. What do you like to do?" The thing was, despite her reservations, she was doing fine. Her heart beat harder, but as her hazel eyes looked him over, the Toxtricity felt a slight annoyance within. An irritation, as it attempted to spoke Genevieve with a little static electricity. A quick shock would scare her away.

As he places a finger on Genny's knee, she feels an electrical shock, and falls over, yelping in a sudden shock of pain, as the Toxtricity turns onto its other side.

Oh, this was going to be a looooooong day.

Lam's uncertainty was something she heeded well, but a quick shift around in her semi-aquatic-aerial appearance, and a peer with her hazel brown eyes, and she turns back with a shake of her head. "Probably not!" That isn't exactly the most assuring response, but no less a beloved one.[break][break]

Soon came in Rook and Lam together, and the company was definitely preferable to the alternative of being alone. Tied up orange hair into a ponytail, she smiles wide to both boys who had entered, and soon after her love, as she quietly moves around the two boys to grab Elio's hand, a pleasant smile. A squeeze, to tell him she was there, and then a turn around. It's a little hard to move here, but not impossible. Just required a little orientation, that's all![break][break]

"Well, it's an expedition. We should look around, make mental notes of what we find, and head back. Since it's like water, kind of, it's unlikely we can write anything down!" It's a simple job, really.[break][break]

That's how it should have been anyways.[break][break]

Fishing into her own bag, she practically floats upside-down, a new idea reaching her mind, her tongue out, as she ruffles through her bag, only to pull out a Pokeball. "We could use some light. Dr. Rhythm, if you would?" With a release, the purple and blue beast, with sagging eyes pops out, illuminating the cavernous deep sea system, shining everything in a blue, as the beast with three fingers attempts to make a devil horns sign with his hand at Genny... only for it to look like a very silly 'shaka' sign.[break][break]

With a cough, and one that sounds rather normal right now, Genevieve makes a motion ahead. "Shall we? We can't do much just at the entrance. I'll even lead the charge deeper!" she offers, letting Elio's hand go now, as she quickly swim-walks to the forefront.[break][break]

But waiting within the deeper reaches of the sea, a jellyfish or two watches on to their intruders.

There's a part of Genny that wants to believe Watson wouldn't swallow the latex, but part of her thought... how... unlikely that actually was. But still, it was nice to meet this new soul! With a grin reflected back to her, Genevieve's own grows. So this guy was Isaac, and his buddy was Watson! Funny, he should name one of his Pokemon Sherlock at some point, seeing a Totodile in a bowler cap would be funny!

"You're telling me!" she comments on the whirlwind of assignments, as she giggles it off. "So many Pokemon in the region, so little time to make notes on every last one! I took this one thinking it'd be fun, but almost got chewed on by a Totodile!" She's laughing now, heartily enough that she seemed to forget she was so much money down.

Then it just kind of hits her.

The Fuecoco had already run off, and Genny's eyes would zoom around to meet with a gator that was gone, as she sighs. "Oh well. At least I got a little information to go on." She would never blame Isaac! People who blame others for their own misfortunes have no agency, and Genny refused to do that.

"Still, the Fuecoco are cute. Not sure if I could ever handle one myself." she admits to her new companion, only to shrug. "What brings you out here, Isaac?"

High and low, near and far, it didn't matter where, it didn't matter when, it was Genevieve's job to search high and low for rescues, and so she would search around every rock, every inch of this place was her's to look through!

It's about the point where she sees a rather disheartening sight. There's no silver lining, just her heart sinking so much into her stomach, that she could feel that stomach acid burn. A crying Cubone, and next to her, a still as ice Marowak. It had Genny's face completely shell shocked, expressionless. With it, comes a toss of a Pokeball. And a sulky smile.

"No one should have to see their mom die."

She puts the Cubone away. The ice and snow, to a Ground Type, that was a disaster waiting to happen. She needed to work faster. Mr. Business would come to place a hand on her shoulder, but Genevieve is inconsolable... at least, she was, until a stranger seemed to pop up, lined with a number of Eeveelutions, much bigger in size. Genny was on one hill, they seemed to be on another. And Genny began calling out.

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" She yelled as loud as she could, hopping in place as she waved to get his attention! "STAY THERE!" She would take the moment to look at Mr. Business with a rather smug smile, only for the Darmanitan to sigh.

And suddenly, with a running start, Genevieve would begin bob-sledding on a Darmanitan, as she held on with her orange hair flying from her hood, letting it go free as she flew through the night air, before perfectly colliding at the bottom, and falling into the snow. The sounds of her giggles could be heard from near and far, as she was giddy now. Now away from that suffering.

Closer now, she calls out. "Whatcha doin' here? It's freezing for someone in a summer get up!" She almost sounds motherly in nagging.

It was another Pokemon that catches her eye, and thankfully for Lars here, Genevieve knew how to continue the conversation after the fact, because just as the jingle of keys were heard, she heard the small little iron thing nearby.

An idea is formed, and with a Pokeball in handle, she sticks out her tongue, and does a trick shot.

She learned this doing it approximately five-hundred times at the HQ, and had beaten up a number of Pokeballs, but the results spoke for itself, as it smacks into a branch, and proceeds to land right onto the back of the little steel monster (Aron), only for Genevieve to turn towards Lars and smile.

"Lars... understood! Then about a month ago, yeah!" She smiles, bouncing on her heels, as she holds up her pink-gloved hand to shake his own. "So why are you here, Lars?" She asks pointedly.

It's her first day, it's jsut her first day. It's not like Captain Fawnley would be too harsh on her, right? And it seemed like a cute meeting at first... at first. And then, it quickly nosedives when he mentions not to make a habit of it. Though he's calm, it does ruin her nerves just a bit more. Like she's done something taboo, and she needs to fix it.

Taking a deep breath, just as the Yamper plays with Serenity and Bubbles, Genny's hazel eyes turn up, as she smiles. "Won't happen again. You have my word, Captain." Because she'd just set her alarm clock ten minutes sooner! That would stop this from happening again!

Tam's mission for her made sense. Taming! Easy enough, Genny was friendly enough, and had a good relationship with Pokemon!

"Piece of cake! None needed! Who do I have to handle?" She was chipper, exuberant. She was ready to put Palkia itself into submission! Or at least, she would think as much!
