The cadet who sits in the office chair chuckles, greets her, and though she was thinking he was Captain Fawnley, he reveals that Captain Fawnley was out back, and even worse, by that statement, revealing she was even more late. Which only stresses her out more, but before she let's that get her down, Genny finds herself bowing slightly.

A composed "Thank you!" comes from her lips. And then?

The race never ends, as she finds herself rushing with a Darmanitan behind her, hazel eyes looking for the exit out back, and as soon as she bursts through the door, her Eevee and Azurill on her shoulders, she sees him. There! Under that tree!

With the fastest many-metered sprint she can muster in her tired legs, she quickly rushes towards the smoking captain, and gives her spiel. She worked on it all morning. "CADETCROMWELLREPORTING FORDUTYCAPTAINFAWNLEY IMSORRYIMLATEIHAD ALAUNDRYISSUE!" Those were words. She was speaking faster than her mind could keep up, and the red on her face got worse by the minute. Her face is coated lightly in sweat.

Well... at least she was here! Serenity the Eevee quickly runs over towards Yamper, proceeding to wave at the mascot, as does Bubbles the Azurill. Mr. Business merely acted as the second behind Genny, eyes on Captain Fawley.

The strained smile only proved the point to Genny. This guy was tired, exhausted. Let alone the staining shirt at his stomach, only meant one thing.

Without a worry in the world, she squarely focuses on the blonde man before him. His woes about his pain was cute, and while she had been told to do most of the preliminary checkups to make the doctor's life easier, she knows she can't prescribe. So instead, she begins writing on her clipboard. "Alright, fatigue for one. I will also need you to take off your shoe and pull up your pants leg on your left leg, as well as taking off your shirt. It's customary for check-up, that way I can try to administer first aid!" She smiles warmly, proceeding towards the side of the room, and pulling two rubber gloves on. Safety first! No need to get anything infected! At least he was lightening the mood!

She's not terribly versed in the medical world. Hell, her being an assistant is just because one, she has experience in the world thanks to her dad, and two, they were so short-handed. But the clinic was nice to give her a chance. Genny knew how to help. As she begins opening the first aid kit, she prepares a cloth, ready to put the disinfectant on it.

"Alrighty! Let's see what's under there first!" She would turn towards him, beaming happily as she holds the disinfectant cloth in one hand.

With the bug threat dismantled, and taken care of, Marshall makes the the statement. They were handled, which was well and great, as they can find a place for the Larvesta. The situationw as fine, though the same could not be said for the table.

For fallen furniture, all that remains is potential firewood. But that table doesn't even look good enough for that. Hazel eyes droop down, as she turns towards Marshall, her short and small four foot eleven frame trying its best to hold it together.

And then the sun comes back, as she gives him a small smile.

"I'll be okay. It was a cheap table." It was also her first paycheck-gotten table. "Thank you! Um- oh. I actually don't know your name." She felt awful. So proper introductions are in order. She holds her hand out in thanks. "Genevieve Cromwell. Call me Genny!"

Mistakes were made.

A sneeze came from Genny, as she was covered in her winter gear, quietly combing over the sands of the Hoenn desert. Well, what should be sand anyways. Instead, there was snow, far as the eye can see. Her red hair could be seen for miles out here, if not her giant red gorilla, Mr. Business.

"Wow... this is not what I was expecting." It's Hoenn just has snow beyond snow. Heck, she can hardly leave her home without seeing it these days!

Still, her personal heater, Mr. Business, would do his best to warm her up, as she traverses the sands in her furred boots. "Come on, Mr. Business! Rescue efforts! There are Pokemon who need our help!" Mr. Business gives a thumbs up, and Genny is back on the prowl.

Christmas Tree Murder Mystery [M]

It's a murder mystery, alright. Classic stuff. The scene of the crime covered in tape, the crying witnesses to the body, and of course the victim. Genny donned a detective's cap, and a magnifying glass that looked like a candycane, looking towards the body.

"Yup. The star's gone alright!"

The Christmas tree had been beheaded. Now, that wouldn't do! Sure, Genny wasn't used to celebrating Christmas at her home in Alola, but people here did, and to the crying kids, and as the Ranger she was, she would fix this!

"I'm on the case!" She would look silly, chewing quietly on a candycane. Only problem was, where could she start? She wished there was someone here in Fortree to help assist her. Even if they took her majestic detective cap.

This caper needed solving for the children!

The majestic Fuecoco waddles around on two legs, charging about like a wild gator. The fire dent atop its head flickers to and fro, as it looks for a warm place to lay atop of some rocks. With it closing its eyes, with what looks like a small shrubbery disguise on her back, a small redhead begins scribbling down in a small notepad.

"2:05pm. Sleeps... on... rocks." She whispers quietly, as an Eevee peers out from below her to watch on, as the gator fully goes to sleep. This Fuecoco was cute, definitely a must-get for her, but her mission was to just document for today. So, she would watch on in peace and silence.

This gator couldn't be that much trouble though.

Wait a second... "Captain!" He was here, and when he waved, Genny found her attention split in half. Half by her Captain, who she returned the wave with more enthusiasm, and half by the hopping Stantler in the qi-YUTEST (read: cutest) sweater she had ever seen! Genny runs towards the deer, and grabs Clover's head, rubbing her face all over her's.

"You are just the most PRECIOUS little thing-" says the four foot eleven tiny woman. "-I could just EAT. YOU. UP!" And she growls playfully, as she holds Clover, completely distracted from her Snowboy, even though the bottom was most certainly done!

Things in Hoenn weren't so hot. The meteor happened, and then it didn't, which was cause for celebration, as the apocalypse wasn't ahead of them. But a lot of people were hurt by the aftereffects of the meteor, or from what she heard, Mt. Pyre and Littleroot.

She hadn't gotten the chance to go help Littleroot. In all honesty, Genevieve Cromwell would have slowed her team down. But this? This was something she knew she could do. She signed up at her local clinic, volunteering to assist people in need, that way the doctors could take a rest.

It wasn't even her Ranger duty. Genny just figures, if she does something while her team risks their lives, she can feel useful. For the first time, she's crestfallen. But even so, she takes it in stride, and begins helping with patient after patient, acting as a surrogate nurse. After the sixth patient, her mood dropped considerably. Bubbles and Serenity could tell, but she stayed strong.

She's being counted on!

The door creaks open to Elio's room, the redhead's tied up hair and casuals over her body as she grabs her clipboard. "Mr. Delacosta, right?" She looks towards the blonde, and wow he's handsome. Okay. She stands her ground, her short four foot eleven inch tiny body attempting to look professional. "My name is Genevieve Cromwell, I'm acting as a temporary nurse assistant to the clinic. What seems to be the problem today? I see your shirt seems to be stained at your stomach region, and you look exhausted. Anything else?" She gives her sunny side up smile, attempting to dismiss her own woes. For the most part, she did a great job. If she can light up the room, that's all that matters, right?

Her Eevee and Azurill popped in behind her, as she held her clipboard out at the ready to write everything that ailed him. She was his nurse now, so she would do it!

Genny might love summer over the winter, but when it came to the holiday season, she was every bit happy to partake. She loved the songs, she loved the merriment, the snow, and Hoenn had a Snowboy Showdown! She loved making them, but Alola hardly ever got snow!

So, she donned her earmuffs, her mittens, her white jacket, her pink scarf, her boots and tights, and she got to work. She'd make the best one, and she had no intention to let herself be defeated!

As she hums to herself, rolling the first ball, its clear what's in her mind; just the holiday itself!

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock. Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring! She's humming it the whole time, patting down the snow on the first section of the snowman. Her Darmanitan, Mr. Business, wearing two giant mittens, and a scarf, also did his best to pat the many pieces of snow down.

She was going to win!

So. Genevieve lied to him. Mr. Business did not look especially happy with her, as she has now been here for two hours. Why has she not left? She will catch a cold. This paranoid, anxious, almost paternal ape was about to lose it at this carefree redhead, but all that was running through Genny's mind was simple.

This place... wasn't too bad! Sure, there's frozen Pokemon in the field, the trees are frozen, it's snowy, but hey! You know what? It's not usually like this! This is a rare occasion, and she's doing her duty in scouting it out as a Pokemon Ranger!

There were obviously two different wavelengths here.

The sweetheart continues to surveil the location, as the ape pouts and follows after her, making step after step into the snowy terrain. Who knows, may she'll find something else! Or someone to talk to? Either way, she walks with a pep to her step! Even if she's probably going to regret it later!

It's so cold here. Mr. Business had to do his best, warming her up. Alola is never this cold, and apparently Galar is. But it isn't Genevieve's type of weather. She much prefers summer, where she its too hot, but here she's just freezing her little tushies.

Still. Having a Darmanitan here made things easier. With Bubbles the Azurill in her furry jacket with Serenity, she had every means to stay warm, and yet it's still so cold! Her boots were wet too. But you know, there's always a silver lining! For instance!

She got half-off on rent this month, because she decided to help out her landlord! That was a plus! While she was here on a little winter getaway, she had more! She got to go on a job with that Marshall guy to save her apartment, and see Lammy again! Life was okay!

...

Okay, so her life is a dumpster fire, but she'll get through it! Who knows, maybe she'll meet someone here in the icy winter wonderland? Or Pokemon? Whichever came first! So long as she didn't freeze to death out here. "Don't worry, Mr. Business! We won't stay long!"

The Darmanitan wasn't convinced.

Her cheeks are so hot. Oh Lammy. He's a sweet guy, but wow him knowing her when she was young now lets insecurities run wild. She covers her face... but its his words that really show the kind of boy next door Lam was.

Genny did have a small crush on him when she was younger. It's lines like that last one that really brought it back out. But, Genny was courteous, as she waves it of, throwing a hand in front of her, waving it to and fro. Instead, she decides to dismiss it. "You flatter me, Lammy." Hazel eyes open, a big smile on her lips. "No wonder you found yourself someone special!"

It's the thumbs up that has her now bouncing in her seat, as she's so giddy to have this opportunity!

"Bright and early! Think about it, an afternoon with hot springs! If I get enough pay, we can make it a spa day!" She's now absolutely ecstatic, thinking towards the best weekend she's had in awhile. Not that giving baked goods to her druggie neighbor wasn't good, but like. This was Lammy!

To that, when his cheeks redden, the turn tables as she chases the moment. "I have to be sure! No way I'm leaving it up to chance!" But the turn tables again when Lam asks about cute squad-mates, shattering Genny's composure a moment, as she thinks over them. "Most of the guys are taken, or not interested, I think! But that's okay! Just means I gotta give it my all and woo a date! Or a least a friend over!"

No way would she be stuck as a third wheel. This was a chance she wasn't going to let down now.
