The Eelektross spotted something in the water. Its eyes widened as they alighted on the blue shell. Its long fins reached out to gently prod its trainer. His company-branded goggles turned as he observed the thing below. Jackpot!

With a grunt, he scooped up the shell like a Grumpig skin in a game of Unovan football. A bit awkwardly, he made it to the top of the water. After settling the thing on a platform, he gently pried open the shell. In return, he received a water gun. “Awww, sweetie. That wasn’t very nice.” The little critter glared at him.

Though the thought of a Huntail enthralled him—they were gorgeous things—he already had an eel on his team. And, Kazooie already held the title of Oz hater.

Fortunately, he’d handled his princess’s surprise dive pretty well. He even went so far as to continue humming as he discovered another of the events little baggies. As dark-colored sand flowed away, Ozni couldn’t fight back an amusing thought. This was the ocean his father had made a mess of. There were probably all kinds of chemicals in here.

Oh well. It wasn’t like he could do anything about it now. They’d paid the pennies the region asked of them ad recorded a few interviews full of fake apologies and empty promises. What else did people expect?

His hands clamped shut around something dark. It almost cut into his hand as he adjusted his grip and kicked back toward the surface. Staring at the blue shard, Oz looked like a kid who’d just discovered rocks can be pretty. Sure, he had no idea what it did, but it’d look nice on the camera.

“How about this guys? Make a cute ring, huh?” Maybe he’d auction this stuff off later. A buzz from his watch (waterproof with a solar system theme) made him look down. People were loving this shit. And even the guy who told him to get eaten by a Sharped was still[//i] watching. “Sugar!” Man, had his parents sparked for an anti voice coach? Yikes. “We’re going down, down—”

With a roll of bulbous eyes, Ana dragged her concierto into the depths.

This time, the CEO flashed an Incense at the camera above. He hummed Milkshake louder than necessary. "Hey! Look, Ani!" He beat out a tempo against the water. My Clamperl brings all the mon to the yard!" His Eelektross hissed beneath her breath, elbowing him with one slimy appendage. "You're laaaaaame. Spoilsport." With a wave, he stuffed the bulb in his sack of goodies.

With a grin, he kicked down again. It was nice to act like he had to do stuff like this to survive. To pretend he was one of these silly people fighting for scraps. Maybe he'd sponsor an event like this next time. It could be entertaining to see what some people would do for a few thousand dollars.

Ozni emerged from the water with a grin. His goggles were opaque from his breathing. Popping them from his face, he quickly scrubbed them clean. With that done, he dropped his gaze to his prize. It was a berry. A weird, green thing that definitely didn’t belong at the bottom of the ocean. Shaking his head of befuddlement, he turned to throw a thumbs up at the camera.


“Would you look at this beauty, guys? It’s pretty good for being pickled.” Tucking it into a mesh bag he was holding, the CEO turned his eyes back to the water. “Time for us to brave the deep again, eh, Ahab?” The Eeleketross flapped its lips. “Ready?” It nodded. “No whammy, no whammy—blehp--” His voice was cut off as Ana drug him beneath the waves.

She really could be a bore sometimes.

Watching people clamber on the public diving platform, Oz was glad he wasted money on his mini yacht. The thing got little use, but it was worth it to not have to squabble for space like Leonardo on a floating door. Setting his camera up to record, and turning on the GoPro on his neck, Oz clambered onto the rain of his ship.

"You ready to go, Ana?" The Eelektross hissed as she slithered over the railings. "What's up, O.Z.s?! It's the man behind the curtain and today we're testing our luck at Hoenn's lost treasure game! Let's see what we get." Sure, he could just buy this stuff, but that ruined the fun.

A familiar, warm hand gently grabbed onto the eel's fin as they pitched backward into the tropical waves.

Ozni's mask is meant to represent his love of technology. He can change the expression to suit his current mood. A faux glitch mechanic brings to mind technological madness. It'd be crafted in Porygon-Z colors to represent his buddy Glitch. He also considered a gold mask made of melted Pokedollars, but some stiffs thought it'd be insensitive.
