The smoke goes with the Eruption by the other ranger’s Typhlosion and her Dragapult gets in the Eruption’s flames. She can’t see what’s happening to her ghost dragon, but she can figure out that her Dragapult could be out of the battle too. As the smoke clears, Elise’s Dragapult is on the ground and he isn’t moving.[break][break]

Samael was also out of the match too. Elise returns her Dragapult inside his Dusk Ball since her dragon did a good job in battling his Typhlosion.[break][break]

“Kage, you’re up now.” Elise takes out her Gengar’s Dusk Ball and pressed the button to send out the male ghost. Red eyes from the purple ghost glow as he rises up from the ground.

Pokemon with golden colors did tend to be a lot more dangerous than she thought according to the reports that she looked over. “I’ll be careful, don’t worry.” She replies to the Rustboro ranger who’s one of her workers. Hints of the Pokemon’s footprints would tell her that it’s a canine of some sort. [break][break]

Along the route, the ambassador follows the footprints which get a little clear to her and the Trevenant that follows her. A growl comes from the direction of a much dangerous Pokemon, one that she knows from her country.[break][break]

Standing in its territory was a golden Boltund. [break][break]

When the golden Boltund leaps at the Galarian royal, Deku the Trevenant comes to her aid. Claws from the tree ghost’s hand swipes at the gold Boltund with a Shadow Claw and the gold canine Pokemon jumps back with a low growl.[break][break]

“It’s not very friendly now. We should prepare for combat.”

When the cloud of pollen clears up for the Sprigatito and her wild Sandslash opponent, the grass cat jumps onto the head of the Sandslash as the ground type tries to Slash at her again. “Shadow Claw on that Sandslash, Jasmine!” With her small size, the Sprigatito turns around to slash at the ground type Pokemon with ghostly claws and her attack makes the Sandlsah reel back.[break][break]

Anger comes from the ground type Pokemon as it runs in to Slash at the Sprigatito and this time, the claws of the shrew hit the cat. A yowl comes from the female grass kitten as she skids on the ground and the attack makes her weakened.[break][break]

“You need rest now.” She recalls her Sprigatito back and throws a Dive Ball. Her trusty Calyrex shard comes out of it and Elise trusts Charles to help finish the battle that her grass cat started.[break][break]

“Think of it as part of your training with Project SAPPHIRE.” The ambassador talks with her hare king. “Energy Ball now, Charles!”[break][break]

A sphere of green energy is launched forth from the hare king as it hits the Sandslash for effective damage. It’s enough that the Sandslash is thrown back from the power of the Calyrex’s attack.

Rustboro City had been pretty peaceful and while her worries wouldn’t stop with the fall of Petalburg, she’ll have to do her job as a volunteer of Project SAPPHIRE and get more people to stop by. Her Mismagius, Calyrex shard, and Hatenna help with putting the posters in place while Elise hangs them up with some tape. SAPPHIRE was really helpful in giving her the tools needed to train with the shard of Calyrex, but she needed to get a lot more stronger if she wanted to defend the city she’s entrusted with its safety.[break][break]

Rocket's actions were more of a wildcard, she can never predict where they'll strike next.[break][break]

Taping one of the posters onto a pole, the ambassador looks over to a crowd forming around the Pokemart. “Sorry, we’ll do this later.” She apologizes to her Pokemon as her quartet follow her as Elise pushes through the crowd. Again with more apologies in knowing what’s going on.[break][break]

“Ashley?!” Elise is alarmed to see that the small blonde girl was hanging from the storm drain’s gutter. “Help her with Psychic.” Urgent words from the ambassador give an order to her Mismagius as the purple witch-like ghost floats up into the air and envelops the girl in a Psychic’s blue glow.[break][break]

Within minutes, Mana’s Psychic would gently let the girl down towards where her trainer is. [break][break]

“Are you alright now? I was so worried that you could fall…”

A Flamethrower from Ghost’s Typhlosion makes it not easy to get through to the fire type though the female Calcifet knows his fire type starter is winded now. Noting that her Dragapult is winded too, she thinks that her Dragapult would continue fighting as he’s able. The announcer remarks on both the Pokemon’s actions towards the crowd and things were starting to heat up for this battle.[break][break]

Flames lick the Dragapult’s body as the ambassador orders her ghostly dragon. “Psychic Fangs on his Typhlosion.” In the air, Samael flies and rushes towards the Typhlosion with his fangs bared. Glowing pink fangs from the dragon would try to bite down at the fire type Pokemon.

The ground shakes and Elise almost remembers that a quake like this would give something more terrifying. She recalls the earthquake that happened in Petalburg where the legendary rock giant shook the city until there were cracks on the ground. Luckily, it was only a Trapinch and Sandslash twosome that decided to fight both of them. [break][break]

“It would appear so.” She took note of how the Trapinch had made its trap with Arena Trap while the Sandslash looked ready for combat. The grass cat jumps in front of her trainer to protect her too. [break][break]

Someone else had been working towards the valuable they’re looking for and the only way was to battle themselves out.[break][break]

“I’ll take on that Sandslash for you then.” A response came towards the young man’s order when Elise would give the order for Jasmine to battle the Sandslash. “Flower Trick, if you would, Jasmine.”[break][break]

Like a magician in training, Jasmine creates several bombs filled with pollen before the bombs explode. The Sandslash is blinded while the bombs begin to damage the ground type Pokemon before the spiked Pokemon tries to Slash away at the grass cat in the pollen cloud.

When Rustboro’s residents were asleep, the ambassador gets out of a late night shift at the embassy. Night time was always the favorite time that her ghosts would be out to play around or they’d accompany her on the walk out of the grand building. Other people would’ve called her the odd one for preferring the night than the daytime.[break][break]

But this night, a visitor comes from the alleyway. A dark-haired woman that she knew too well from their conversation back at the Ultra Plant’s space.[break][break]

“It was a late night shift at the Galarian Embassy, so I stayed until I can finish my work and go off on my way.” She greets the other woman. Some would say that she’s much too meticulous to bother in going for normal work shifts, but her royal duty keeps her from having to go home at a normal time.[break][break]

“But yes, I wouldn’t mind your company.”

Theatrics came from the young man in his white outfit. That was something she knew well from plays, performances, and operas from the many opera houses around Galar. “I am willing to play your little game.” She speaks, much like how a royal lady would indulge in a court jester’s little theater of tricks for amusing the court. “Much to my own line of work, archaeology does not belong in the world of royal Galarian politics…aside from my cousin being the archaeologist himself.” [break][break]

She knows that Remiel had his draciary around Rustboro’s borders too and he was very protective of the place.[break][break]

“But nonetheless, Rustboro City is my territory to govern alongside the mayor.” The royal ambassador stakes it on her position as Rustboro’s Ranger Captain too. “I’d do everything to watch over anything that happens in the city’s surroundings, including the tunnel itself.”[break][break]

The Sprigatito’s pink eyes blink, she is probably a bit more curious of what he’ll do next now.

Ghost’s Typhlosion takes the hit from her Dragapult. Elise expects that a Typhlosion would have a move that would do an effective hit on her dragon though the senior ranger orders his Typhlosion to use Thunder Punch. The punch hits the Dragapult square on his body as electricity courses through the body of the dragon. A growl comes from the dragon as he waits for his next move.[break][break]

“You’ve trained your Typhlosion well.” An affirming nod came from the Ranger Captain in her business suit as she gives her Dragapult his next move. “Use Thunderbolt.” Bolts of electricity are launched from the male ghost dragon as they shoot towards the fire type starter![break][break]

Elise notes the crowd starting to form around their match and she’s confident that she can get stronger than the last time she battled during her time in the Petalburg conflict.

Rusturf Tunnel had a lot of excavation sites that she’s sure her cousin had combed some of them. Remiel was the expert when it came to archaeology and she was the beginner. Maybe if her cousin wasn’t busy, she might ask for his advice on studying on the Draconids herself. A small crowd of archaeologists and researchers were around the entrance while Jasmine wanted to take a look inside the tunnel. A professor of Hoenn would be interested in those artifacts too.[break][break]

A person in clothing that looked like a circus performer’s heads inside the tunnel. He doesn’t look like the sort to come there, but nonetheless, the royal ambassador follows him. “You do not look like you are the sort to be interested in excavating.” Elise questions the strange young man while her Sprigatito follows. “What are you after?”[break][break]

In the shadows, her Mismagius hides in a Phantom Force. She waits in order to keep watch over her trainer.

Nightly patrols were what the Ranger Captains had to do now since the fall of Petalburg. Fresh memories of witnessing the Rocket takeover of the city that was aa neighbor to Rustboro still made her guilty. Petalburg wasn’t her city though, that was Shalin’s territory and her friend was taken custody by Rocket. From the few times that Elise did visit Snowbelle City, the weather there was cold like the Crown Tundra’s. Both of those places were the coldest in their countries and both were beautiful in their own right. At times, Elise missed her late uncle taking her to Kalos to see the snow in Snowbelle.[break][break]

“I hope that I can go to Snowbelle City again. It was a treat to see the snow once upon a time when I was younger.” A little nostalgic nod came from the ambassador when her childhood friend talks of her hometown and asks whether the crown prince was dead. “Well… Remiel is the target of Rocket now because he betrayed their ranks, but he has eluded death so far.”[break][break]

Slateport’s Upper District had a battlefield inside one of their buildings and the battle judge was waiting on her too. As Ranger Captain of Rustboro City and a volunteer member of Project SAPPHIRE, she’ll have to set an example for her rangers under her command in her city. “It’s very good to see you again, Ghost.” The Galarian Ambassador shows up in just her business suit and tie as she smiles at her teammate too. “I thought you would be shooting up for a senior rank now.”[break][break]

With most of the other rangers working to restore the cities being lost by flooding, she could take her own pace with becoming one of Hoenn’s champions. There was no rush in taking most of the region’s badges, she still had yet to learn over her team’s weaknesses and strengths.[break][break]

When Ghost’s Typhlosion is sent out, she’s familiar with the species’ line being Fire types. “Samael, it’s your time now.” Elise takes out a Dusk Ball from her belt and sends out her Dragapult. Samael’s eyes squint at the Typhlosion before the Galarian royal gives a command. “Dragon Claw now!”[break][break]

At her command, the Dragapult rushes over to slash at the Typhlosion with purple glowing claws.
