Perhaps this was too soon.

No, not perhaps. This was too soon, period. The Kalosian thought she was ready to scale the mountain; to scale her fears and come out on top, but halfway through she'd found she was in fact, not. All had been well until the first flock of fire types had come rumbling down, alerted by Galayne unknowningly treading into their breeding grounds. Their fires had startled her, and she'd bolted; yet that very moment she'd thought herself safe, a set of Geodude had decided enough was enough.

The top was but barely in sight when it detonated itself with Explosion, sending both itself and whatever determination still lingered within Galayne to the afterlife. Sensing its master's detriment, Bravo had forced itself from its pokéball and taken most of the burnt, its massive body shielding the Kalosian from the explosion, only to make short work of the remaining Geodude.

But the Paldean aqua breed Tauros had no idea where it was, nor where to go. It just knew it had to take his master somewhere safe, and had urged Galayne unto his back, aimlessly wandering the slopes of the Hoennian volcano, aggressively chasing off any that dared venture close.

"Well, I don't think 'justice' is the first thing I think of when Rocket's mentioned..." she muttered to herself, silently scrolling through her reply options. That, and just wanting to get to know him probably wouldn't be appreciated by the man... so, money or power was all that remained. Money seemed a good go-to answer. Power might be something that could make him wary, but then again; she herself did aspire to become better than she was now.

And if she were to learn powerful from someone, it might as well be Declan Walsh, no?

A few years ago this would've stricken her as odd, but now, more learnt yet severely lacking in the romance department, she'd learnt;

Communication was key. Moreso to the relationship than the fires of passion, but since they'd asked about the "fires of love" rather than passion, the physical intimacy was but a close second.

Sending it to another universe was not the answer; saddling another with this creation of her mind? Distracted creation, but still... never. And why would she want to catch it? So others could conduct experiments on it (because in all honesty, who could she possibly protect it from at this point)? Being overrun was easy, and the abomination being misused by others all the more so.

Even if killing it wasn't her go-to reply either, it was a thing that did not truly exist. A prisoner of the dreamscape; and if she was its creator, it could meet its maker by her hand. That was her responsibility now.

"Oh come on, it's not that bad." Galayne ushered at the Flabébé perched upon her head, who was using its blue-petal'd flower as an anchor. Camille frowned heavily, shaking her small head and bapping Galayne's. No. She didn't like it here. She never had, with what the place signified; her flabébé had always been like that. For some reason man and mon's last resting places sent the little tyke into an anxious fit, and in an attempt to find out about said reason, she'd ended up here.

The Kalosian knew no-one burried atop this mountain, and mayhaps she should praise herself lucky for it. Never having lost someone close to her, or being too youngh to remember their passing. A gut-feeling had lead her here, however. One she didn't understand either, but the fire fighters who'd helped her back on feet had urged her to start listening to it more often. After all, it was the very reason she still lived.

Some irritated chittering tickled her ear, making the Kalosian sigh. "Okay, fine fine! After we reach the summit, we'll go right back down." Galayne relented tilting her head up, only to see the small white creature stare back at her with a "you better" look plastered on her face. Their staring earned a brief intermission when they reached the next level, walking right into the unfolding events of a man and his giant mushroom circle.

He looked just as surprised as she was. "Uhmmm.... that's an, uh, unique(?) way of paying your respects to the deceased?" She wasn't sure what to think of the giant vegetation, other than it looking extremely out of place here.

The smile that claims him tells the Kalosian enough, but whatever thoughts have summoned it she does not know. Happy thoughts, she guesses. Of better times. Remiel's words bring the comfort of knowing she doesn't have to walk on eggshells around him, and that knowledge brings her guard down almost instantly. She might've never told him, but in the past he'd managed to do so on numerous occasions. Remiel's gift, she'd gathered. Or mayhaps part of his royal upbringing. She couldn't quite say.

Her smile reflects his own as she takes a seat, wordlessly thanking him. "Still, it's part of the decorum Father drilled into my subconscious. I'm not as naive as to presume otherwise... but I'll remember for next time." Galayne settles herself neatly, back straightened and feet tucked underneath her chair, her arms resting ever so lightly upon the table. "At least they've grown less ravenous about their scoops across the years. Not by much, but it counts, I suppose." 'They', the paparazzi. It had been worse in Galar and Kalos, but somehow Hoenn's press wasn't as vicious as their homeland's had been. Mayhaps due to Hoenn's rich, dramatic environment? From what she read the region never seemed to catch a break from catastrophes.

There's a soft sigh, as if she's deflating a little. And then her head tilts slightly, regarding him curiously. Camille, having left its flower in her hair and having slid down to Galayne's shoulder, mirrors her movements completely. She smiles. "How have you been, Remiel?"

Ah, so that's what it was. Now she'd had a brief rundown of the Interdream Zone, and the capabilities it held, she found herself more intrigued than ever. Even if some of her words were as much a warning as they were a threat in her eyes. Ceasing to be, and trying to become real... what if. What if she were to imagine herself returning as she crossed that border? Would she still cease to be?

Because apparently, imagining things would draw them into being. Into reality. At least, that's what she deduced.

For this route, we go down the evil path. That seems something Father Walsh, Rocket extraordinaire would appreciate. A bit brutal perhaps, but by the way the route wanted them to 'redeem' themselves with a second chance, showing some ruthless behavior seemed the way to go. That, and the gym leader in question, bound and struggling, probably wouldn't do well being forced to join Rocket. Something about betrayal, the Kalosian gathered.

Off with his head? Probably.

Yet another person she did not know; knowledge kept from her for only entering Hoenn's social circles as late as she did. But that in itself made things more interesting, too, allowing the Kalosian noble to discover and explore to her heart's content.

All in the safety of her own home, with a mere touch of her finger.

'twas time to learn a bit more about this Nisa Holo, DRK Triad assassin. And whatever this "Interdream Zone" was exactly.

"You say so, but there's sand in places I don't need it to be... including my mouth." Now they no longer have the need to watch for hostile or territorial pokémon -for now- Galayne allows herself a moment to unceremoniously raspberry the sand grinding between her teeth out of her mouth. Just a moment where her graceful posture cracks and reflects childlike glee. But it's back moments later, as if she never did what she did in the first place.

"Regardless... thank you for the compliment. You did quite well yourself too though, all gallant and chivalrous. Almost like a noble knight," The Kalosian smiles and extends her hand towards the blonde. "I'm Galayne. To whom do I have the pleasure of extending my gratitude to?"
