Galayne almost sounded exasperated when she finally looked at the Squirtle twins, who'd been looking at her weirdly for a good fifteen minutes now. She didn't think she'd done something out of character that warranted their stupefied reactions, but then again, she could always be wrong.

Emphasis on could.

Rather than humour the two, who had started tilting their head as if seriously questioning whether their trainer had lost it or not, the Kalosian noble sipped from her drink. Whatever the name was, something silly and tropical she couldn't quite remember, it tasted refreshing and was the perfect appetizer for an afternoon at the beach.

Highlight; stalking the waterfront away from the touristic sections in search for more water pokémon.

"Well then," Galayne nods in agreement with the rest. "Let's get out of here then, before another one of those things shows up and gives us trouble."

Camille floats back to her spot on the blonde's head, seemingly spent by the entire event that had unfold. Just like her owner and the rest of the group, the Flabébé was hoping to escape the mechanical kingdom sooner than later; if only to get away from that blasted music still trying to mess with her head.

It took a few moments for Galayne to put two and two together, surprise and confusion settling on her face as both women seemed to look at her in a sense of awe. Yet the Kalosian was none the wiser by their words, especially those of Aurelie Lefevre when she mentioned her reflexes, and having to tell her where she learnt to move 'like that'. All that stuck was the strange memories of her mansion's ballroom. Had they seen it too? Was that what she meant?

So all she said, half-hearted and hesitating, was a muttered "At home, I think?", entirely missing what the others actually meant.

She ended up shaking her head softly, giving her jumbled thoughts a run for their money, and glanced at the -hopefully- destroyed mechanic monstrosity a final time. Her attention would then settle on the others again, listening intently as Aubre McKenna-Settentrione explained her own thoughts regarding the Corviknight's offence, and how she recalled having seen something that could be a potential way out.

The chaos in her mind is complete.

When the mechanical menace is about to turn its claws upon her she's aided by Aubre McKenna-Settentrione's Helioptile, its Parabolic Charge giving her the time to dance away from the claws rearing for her; she backs away, letting it turn, and as it's about to try again, more help arrives. From behind her Aurelie Lefevre's mega-evolved Galade takes charge, granting both of them respite as it fights the beast off, simultaneously leading it away from her and the other girl, and towards the arabalest they'd been hiding.

Her eyes are looking for Camille, who soon flutters back towards her. And then she hears a loud *thwang*, followed by a massive dark bolt piercing through the Corviknight; it's stuck, and she can hear the metal screeching and scraping inside of it. Whatever resistance is still with it is soon enough snuffed out as thalia black and parker jones join in, reducing the mechanic monstrosity to scrap.

Yet at that point she does not see it anymore; physically she's left staring at the scene unfolding. Galayne does not perceive the fire of parker jones's Blaziken, and that might have been for the better. Yet instead of the panic attack that would've ensued, her eyes are glazed over, the music of the Mechanical Kingdom playing in her mind like a crescendo of memories. She knows this song.

What she sees before her are no longer the strange lands and mechanic beasts, nor the women now surrounding the defeated Corviknight. What she sees is an empty room; one she recognises as the ballroom in her family's mansion. The giant mirror they pride themselves on, reflecting all that ever came to dance within those hallowed halls. Just like she was supposed to do. The song swells, yet as she turns there's no orchestra that could warrant the thunderous noise.

In the actual world Galayne has turned around as well, oblivious to anything possibly said towards her person. Eyes still glazed over, she seems to be looking for something that she cannot find. The Corviknight's body starts ticking, an insistent banging of a cog that can't twist properly and is slowly overwinding something else. A screw pops loose, and another, before something breaks and a loud bang announces an internal explosion. Part of bust springs open, scattering cogs and pieces of metal at those around it.

A cog wheel the size of her head comes flying towards Galayne at breakneck speed, but under the influence of the song her reaction is perplexing.

In her turn towards the noise she side-steps, not even bothering to blink. It sails past her by a mere few inches before disappearing into the deep further behind her.

The crescendo in her head starts to lessen, and slowly the dullness of her eyes fades, until golden eyes flick back into focus. She regards the destroyed mechanical remains with a frown before looking at the four other women. Camille is still trying to recover from the suprise-dodge. Galayne on the other hand is wholly confused, unaware of the momentary blackout that just occurred. "Uh... what just happened?"
