Listening to what she had to say he nodded in agreement. Of course since he had spent a bit of time traveling around the other regions it wasn’t as strange to him. It was still pretty strange though. Then again he had spent eighteen years of his life in Sinnoh. Due to that reason it was bound to be strange to him. But things considered there were regions out there that had been harder to get use to.

”Yes it is. Though I’ve been away from my home region for four years. I like it in Hoenn though,” he told her. Hearing her question he nodded. ”Yes, there’s a place called Snowpoint City. Can’t say I was there often. My father didn’t usually have business there. I didn’t mind the cold the few times I went though,” he said with a small shrug. And it wasn’t like this region was totally safe from the effects of the cold. After all they now had the Silent Icelands that stayed cold.

Being new Hoenn buddies didn’t sound bad and he told her as much. Before they could get into discussing anything else a scent was carried on the breeze. It was a real sweet scent. And it smelled nice. Though he felt he should know the scent. He couldn’t place how he would know though. And smelling the scent for to long started making him feel like he was getting a headache. Like if someone had used to much perfume.

Hearing what she had to say he nodded. His own sharp gaze was trying to pick out anything that could make that scent. ”Hmmm…” he said somewhat distractedly before what she said registered. ”Okay just be careful,” he told her allowing his gaze to drift towards the water. He figured she was better at fighting sea glass than he was but he would still look.

From time to time he would still look in the direction she had gone. Her and her Tropius hadn’t gone to far so he could still see her. It was good that she was still staying within his line of sight. That way if something happened he would be able to help her. He appreciated the fact she was practicing proper safety. Some people didn’t.

During one of his times of looking up he noticed the battle. Or at least he figured it was a battle. He could see the attacks but couldn’t see the other Pokémon. When the attacks stopped he figured the battle was over. His momentary distraction gone he resumed looking for sea glass.

Something in the water caught his attention and he leaned forwards. Was that some sea glass? With the way the sun was reflecting off the water it was kind of hard to tell. The sun reflecting off the water kind of blinded a person after all, so he figured the only way to be sure would be to swim down there and check.

But he had never been able to open his eyes older water. So he would be going in blind. He supposed the best course of action would be to wait for Desiree to get back and tell her when she got back.[break] DESIREE BLOOMS

Seeing that the catch was successful he grinned. Picking up the ball containing the newly acquired Pokémon he put it away. Now that that was taken care of he continued on his way. Not bothering to call for Nebula he started moving again. He knew he wouldn’t have to call for him. He would just fall in behind him. The dark type was just good like that. Good at not having to be told to do something, though that might be due to how close him and the dark type were.

As he walked he looked around. His attention was momentarily grabbed by a Clamperl but he decided just to let it be. This time he didn’t need to tell the dark type to let it be. In fact the Absol seemed to pick up on his trainers body language and didn’t even acknowledge the Clamperl. Which worked well with him. Since he didn’t want to have to call it back every time they happened to come across a Pokémon.

While they walked he kept an eye out for any Pokémon. His attention would soon be grabbed by a Galarian Zigzagoon. From what he knew of the Pokémon it would be a pretty interesting Pokémon for him to have. ”Nebula, weaken the Zigzagoon so we can catch it,” he told the dark type. Since he was watching the other dark type he noticed it was gearing up to attack them anyway. Probably because the Galar version was known for being territorial. Not that it mattered any to him. But he knew that Nebula might go out if he thought there was a chance the other Pokémon would attack Jade. Which he knew was a definite possibility considering how aggressive the Galar form of the Pokémon could be.

Having his orders Nebula charged towards the Zigzagoon using knock off making the raccoon Pokémon slide back. Before she could react Nebula would slam the Galarian Zigzagoon with a quick attack before pinning it to the ground. The Zigzagoon seemed to realize she wouldn’t win against the Absol so he threw a safari ball at the Zigzagoon. The Zigzagoon was sucked inside and he stared at it watching as it shook back and forth.

Idol Breakdown!

”I am,” he said upon hearing the older male. He was a bit nervous as was expected. But for the main part he was excited. Being an idol had been his dream for the longest time. And if he did well with this performance he would be one step closer to realizing that dream.

Soon enough it was time to go on. After making sure Niky was ready he went onto the stage. Once they started he could tell that most people didn’t know the song that had been chosen. But in the end that didn’t stop people from getting into the song. He was sure it was the fast best but he would like to think it was the way they did the song as well. With them switching vocals and singing the chorus together.

They finished the performance and headed back backstage. The older male had to sit down but he remained standing choosing to instead lean back against the wall. ”It was exhilarating. Better than I had imagined,” he said with a small smile. It had been great. Hopefully the crowd had liked it enough.

Listening to what she had to say he shook his head. ”I’ve never been one for doing arts and crafts,” he admitted before continuing. ”But I enjoy looking at the kind of stuff. Unfortunately I’m never home long enough for something like that to be necessary at my home. Basically I’m only there when I have to sleep,” he explained.

His home was pretty sparsely decorated for that reason. He just preferred being out an about. Exploring what the region had to offer. That was if he didn’t have a gig. Being an idol having a gig wasn’t to uncommon. And during the times he had a gig lined up he would be practicing any routine he had.

He was pulled away from his thoughts by the pinkettes compliment. ”Thanks, though if I had to pick a favorite feature of mine it would be my eyes,” he told her his dual colored eyes holding her own blue ones. Heterochromia wasn’t something one had very often. So having it made him feel pretty unique.

Before he could say anything else she was already diving under the waves. He waited for her to return. He hoped she knew what she was doing. Just in case he was prepared to jump in after her if he needed to. In fact his whole body was tense in preparation to jump in after her if he had to.

The young man was just starting to think he would have to jump in after her when she returned. He relaxed now that she was back to the surface and he looked down at what she showed. ”It is,” he agreed before continuing. ”Almost as pretty as you are,” he said his gaze still fixed on the sea glass that she was showing him.

Hearing her name and it clicked how he knew of her. Being an idol himself he liked to keep up with fellow idols. So he knew of the woman in front of him. The fact she was right in front of him was definitely a surprise. He would’ve expected her to stay in Kalos. For him it was different since he had come here to get started on his idol career.

”Pleasure to meet you Desiree, though I would’ve never expected to run into you here,” he said inclining his head before continuing. ”Anyway my name’s Jade Rivers. I’m originally from Shinnoh though I haven’t been to Shinnoh since I was eighteen. I still haven’t been to Hoenn long though since I spent a bit of time traveling from one region to another,” he explained.

As long as it was unofficial he would be fine. Because he had never given much to taking on the gym circuit. ”Just know I won’t hold back. I’m to stubborn of a person to do that,” he said flashing the older male a grin. Basically if he wanted something he would do everything within reason to obtain it. So he did have a Pokémon battle with someone than he would be battling to win.

He listened to everything he had to say with interest. The young man didn’t know it took so much work to make mega stones. Though he didn’t know who either of those people were. It did make him curious if other people had to go to so much trouble when it came to mega stones though.

As he went over what had happened he listened to what he had to say. ”Sounds like quite the adventure. I’ve never been along that route before. But because I never had a way of taking the route. Once Neptune fully evolves I’ll see about checking it out,” he told them gym leader. He would need scuba gear though if what the dark haired male said was any indication.

Upon hearing the older male he braced himself. The new speed the Dragonair entered was definitely something. And like what Josh had said it was like riding a rollercoaster. Not that he had been on many rollercoasters in his lifetime. It was something only he had been on once or twice during his lifetime.

Though from what he remembered of them he had enjoyed them. And this was pretty fun as well. ”That was exhilarating,” he said once the gym leader had brought them back to shore. Nebula was the first to alert him to the presence of a Pokémon. Looking at where the dark type was looking he saw a Wishiwashi in one of the ponds. ”Leave it,” he told his partner. It wasn’t a Pokémon he wanted and there was no point in the dark type attacking it. Not when it wasn’t doing anything to them. It would be different if they had to defend themselves against it.

Walking through the safari Nebula trailed after him. He knew she was keeping an eye on their surroundings in case a Pokémon came along. His own gaze was scanning their surrounding. But so far he hadn’t seen anything. And Nebula hadn’t given any indication of seeing anything either. So he figured the dark type hadn’t seen anything either. Since he would told him it he had.

While the walked he kept a safari ball in hand. He wanted to be prepared for when a Pokémon came upon them. That way he wouldn’t have to be waisting time looking for a safari ball. He would have it out and ready to be thrown at a Pokémon.
