Even from outside he can feel the heat. He can’t imagine how the underboss must feel if he can feel it from where he’s standing. He maintains his ground near the door though, choosing to only step back when Cillian joins him, having used ally switch with one of his Pokémon to get out. Meaning that the only ones who would be harmed by the flames would be their target and his lackeys.

Hearing his comment he simply nodded. There was no need to point out he was already doing that. It’s also why he called Apollo back to his side, the dual type landing beside him as he kept an eye on the flames to make sure that didn’t get out of control. And with the wind from Apollo’s wings no longer fanning the flames that shouldn’t happen.

”No, none of my Pokémon have moves that would help with that,” he told him upon hearing the question. Luckily it seemed Cillian just had the thing. A Corviknight that knew defog. It helped keep the smoke from spreading, so that was something at least. Though it did make him wish he could help. But as he had said none of his Pokémon knew moves that would be much help.

Power, he supposed, was a kind of vague answer. Anyone could seek power, and it didn't have to be through illegal means either. But most people didn't make it their mission to seek out power. To be honest, he wasn't the type to do so either. However, he had been taught that power was how anyone got anywhere in life, and he still believed that to be true.

Though he supposed there was one thing he actually desired, something he hadn't been taught to strive for. It was kind of surprising, considering his background and career. Not that the person before him would know anything about that.

At first he didn’t do anything but dodge the swipes from the knife. To anyone that didn’t know him they would think he was on the defense. But if one were to really pay attention, and notice the ease with which he moved they would realize he was just toying with his target. And knew exactly what he was doing. He knew that. Dorian knew that. But the target who would have no way of knowing his fighting style wouldn’t know that.

It was a little too easy to tell the target had no idea he was being toyed with. His smug look was plenty indicative of that. Now that the target that he had of chance of actually winning it was time to stop messing around. When the target swung the blade at a downward arch once more he raised his right arm as of to stop the blade. Like he planned to use his hand to stop the blade.

Instead of the blade hitting flesh though there was the sound of metal hitting metal. The target’s smug look faltered to be replaced with one of surprise. Before he recovered he knocked his knife out of his hand before swinging his right hand towards his chest.

After he did it became obvious what had stopped his knife. A hidden blade that was now buried in the targets chest.[break] dorian westcliff

Trying to find a way out didn’t last long. It ended in failure since he couldn’t find out. The one door he thought might actually before another exit was stuck fast. Even pushing his whole weight on the door didn’t cause the door to budge. Backing away from the door he sighed. Well looking for a way out had been a waste.

Knowing there was nothing else to do he rejoined his companions. Harper was the first to notice his arrival and led the way over to him. He barely spared the burned megalopolans as Dorian told them to get on his Charizard that had been mega evolved. It wasn’t until Harper and Dorian had gotten on that he would get on himself.

After that the would fly through the hole that had been formed by the Charizards dragon pulse. The would then fly through the sky flying up the skyscraper. A term he was only vaguely familiar with due to having spend a bit of time in Unova. Most regions didn’t have them but he was sure Kalos had them as well.

Reaching the top didn’t take long. Upon landing he would let his gaze sweep their surroundings for any dangers. Nothing stood out and he realized that any dangers that might have faced might be behind them.

Since he wasn’t trying to stab him and was trying to see why he wanted to join he could only assume that he was a member of Team Rocket. It must be luck that he had managed to stumble upon a Team Rocket member already. Things didn’t really work that way. But he wasn’t about to question things.

”I heard about Team Rocket on my travels and if there’s one thing I respect it’s power, and those willing to do whatever it takes to get it,” he told him deciding to go with a response that was less dark than one he could have gone with. It wasn’t like it wasn’t true either. It was. But he knew that the League just wasn’t for him. Another assumption since he didn’t know anything about this League. But one he could make since it seemed the League and Team Rocket were at odds with one another.[break] THEO BECKETT

His only response was a nod and he sat back watching as Dorian hounded the man keeping him from running in certain directions. He let the older male have a bit of fun tormenting the target before making his move. Flying over to where the target was he allowed Apollo to hover over the area with target before dropping down. He landed gracefully his knees bent a bit to absorb the impact.

He didn’t need to look to know that Apollo had rose up higher in the air, so the wind from his wings wouldn’t fan the flame, after he had jumped of his back. Upon landing he withdrew his swords raising one to block the stick he had tried to hit him with. Before he could make another attempt at hitting him with the stick he cut it in half with his sword.

The target would then pull out a knife making him raise a brow. He was starting to wonder if this guy had been dropped on his head as a baby. Because first he attacked him with a branch and now he wants to use a knife. None of the weapons he chose were good to use against someone that was using swords.

While usually he would just end the fight before it really got started the target had led them on a bit of a chase. So the least he could do was get a bit of entertainment before he killed the target. Sheathing his swords he awaited the guy to make a move.

He could hear the sounds of battle from within and part of him itched to join in. He had been given his orders though and he would never disobey an order. So he would just have to be content with waiting for the signal. And of course watching the door. If any of them did try and escape through the back entrance he would be ready for them. Something he doubted would happen because known of them seemed overly bright.

The underboss caught his eye and finally he received his signal in the form of Cillian’s Roserade unleashing the move mystic fire. That was his cue to start with his own reason for being here so he gestured for Apollo to begin. ”Torch the place,” he told the Charizard and with that the dual type would raise into the sky and breath out fire sending out a flamethrower.

He kept an eye on Apollo to make sure he didn’t overdue it. He figured that Cillian has a plan to get out before the place completely went up in flames so that wasn’t the problem. It was more that he didn’t want the fire to end up spreading to the surrounding areas. So he was keeping an eye on things to make sure that didn’t happen.[break] Cillian Quinn

The megalopolan went limp falling to the ground dead. His impression remained impassive throughout the whole ordeal, but he did take his gaze off of the still form of the megalopolan when Harper tore out of the room. He blinked after her wondering if they should go after her. After all there might be more of these things hanging around.

Before he could decide the decision was made for him. He watched his friend run after the kid, his gaze momentarily flickering to the Houndoom. As a canine Pokémon he figured he would hear if anything dangerous came this way, so he lowered his swords until their tips rested against the ground. But he didn’t completely relax, still keeping his guard up. After all he couldn’t allow himself to be caught off guard.

Just waiting made him antsy. But if there was anything he had know since meeting Dorian was that he could take care of himself. But it was the way that he sometimes went about doing that that made him want to track the two down and go on the attack. But sometimes he knew it was best to hang back. With the way the building was set up to many people attacking would just lead to them all getting under each others feet. So he supposed it was best if he let Dorian deal with protecting her if he had to.

Thoughts of them running into more of the megalopolans made him think that they might need another escape route. So maybe it was best if he made himself useful and look for one. First things first was to make sure there wasn’t a way to escape from the building from the room he was in. The windows were a no go looking like the were rusted shut or something. And after scanning the room he could see that the room would provide no way of escape.

During his whole search he kept one eye on the door. Either for Dorian and Harper to come back, or more megalopolans to come through. The latter didn’t happen thankfully but neither did the former. And he wondered if he should go to their aid after all or continue looking for a way out. Since trying to get out the way they had come in didn’t seem like the best idea.

Going through the open door he looked up and down the hall but didn’t see anything. He did hear sounds from one direction though. Probably more of those things and possibly the direction Dorian and Harper went in.[break] dorian westcliff, Harper Mann

The league. So they were the ones who opposed Team Rocket. At least that’s what he figured. He had heard enough about Team Rocket to know that if they didn’t have someone to oppose them they would completely take over a place. And since he had heard nothing of Team Rocket completely and taking over Hoenn he had assumed that it was because there were people getting in their way and preventing them from doing that.

But everything had paled in comparison to Rocket so he hadn’t known who would be the ones opposing Team Rocket until now. He made a note of that. Made a note that he would have to keep an eye on this League. That is if he was able to find his place among Team Rocket.

”Team Rocket,” he said without missing a beat, his expression giving nothing away of how he felt or of his earlier thoughts. With how much reaction he gave one would think they were discussing the weather and not the joining of a crime syndicate. And to any body who walked past them that might as well be the case, since he wasn’t speaking loudly enough for anyone outside of Theo to hear him.[break] THEO BECKETT

Riding in the back of a black sedan with Alphonse, a fellow rocket. The older male wasn’t someone he knew very well. Not that that was to surprising. He hadn’t been a member of Rocket long and was still trying to learn who was who. And usually how that happened was doing an assignment with someone.

Speaking of assignments that was currently what he was doing now. Like always his assignment had to do with assassinating something. Which considering he was an assassin by trade was a given.

He listened intently to what the older male had to say. Committing it all to memory. Him taking out someone who worked with the former rocket was new. It wasn’t something he had to do. But if she wouldn’t commit to the new rocket superiors and still used the name of Rocket for her knew agenda than he could understand why they had been tasked with this.

No one made a fool of Rocket. She would learn from her mistakes one way or another. And that was where him and Alphonse came in. They would take her out. Perhaps use her death as an example to those who wished to oppose them. Especially if they like her had worked for the old rocket and hadn’t committed to the new rocket.

To be honest he wasn’t sure amateur was the right world. Not if the old boss of Team Rocket had trusted her to such an extent. This was probably more of a case of her letting her old position go to her head. And of course once that happened people became careless and would make mistakes left and ride.

Looking through her file didn’t take long. It didn’t really have much of anything that he hadn’t been able to figure out by the explanation that Alphonse had given him. ”She’s arrogant probably why she’s made such noticeable mistakes as she has. For one who thinks as highly of herself as she does, she just can’t help to brag,” he said his expression given nothing away.

Luckily the older male had an idea of what they could do. Before he could inquire what it was Dorian had already taken off on his Charizard. It was only after he had started to set fire to the area that he realized what he was doing. It was pretty smart considering the recent wild fires in the region so it was something that could be written off.

Feeling he needed a better vantage point, as things caught fire, he released his own Charizard and took to the sky. He just hovered their thought as his amber gaze scanned the flames. If the flames wouldn’t flush him out then the smoke would. More than likely the smoke would flush him out before the flames could. After all the smoke would make it hard to breathe.

Not much time passed before he saw a flicker of movement among the flames. His eyes zeroed in in the movement and he saw a human sized silhouette break cover and take off towards Meteor Falls. And since both him and Dorian were in the air it had to be the target.

He signaled that their target was on the move and headed towards Meteor Falls. Of course on his Charizard he would be able to hear him off before he even reached the entrance to the cave. Maybe even before he reached the base. Considering the target would be struggling to run with a lack of oxygen.

”I’m going to head him off,” he told the older male as he neared him. Once past Dorian he would push Apollo to go fast and he quickly flew through the air. Looking down he could see they were gaining on the target and would be able to cut off his route to Meteor Falls before he even reached the base.[break] dorian westcliff
