As the Scyther raises her arms up and slams them down, Quill readies himself to take that move and turn it right back on her. Rather sloppily, he paints some more bright psychic pink onto the field- before lifting and slamming his tail down for his own artistic rendition of Vacuum Wave!

Quill doesn't really see what all the fuss is about. They're both having fun pummeling each other, right? And JJ definitely got a bit of a boost from the Drain Punch, yeah? So what harm was there in continuing to joke and play, even if he was in pain?

And besides, plagiarism is only done best when you know how to do it artfully and, more importantly, better than the original.

Having given himself a bit more time, his Me First comes into proper effect here- or at least, it tries to, as orange and red hot paint mimic actual fire and heat.

Was Quill ever worried about the sanctity and purity of the canvas? Was Sio? Most likely not, with how the former preens at his successful hit. He can tell Tofu is standing on his last two legs, and it's more than ready to knock them both down.

Pink makes its reappearance on the canvas, before sparking into a gradient of yellow electricity. Sending a ball of light right back at the Pikachu, it's more than obvious that Quill has used Me First again, treating this like a game of volleyball!

Even though Quill and Sio also have to rub stars out of their eyes, the former is absolutely BEAMING (no pun intended) with pride! He gives a happy yap to the Sylveon, eagerly wagging his tail in the brief break.

Though, once Sugar spills the misty terrain, Quill keeps his eyes narrow- squinting through the fog. Well, the best way to see against bright colors was with dark ones to contrast, right? So, flicking about some dark, ghastly paint, he uses Bitter Malice!

Whatever the case was for Queen Zing's Twineedles, Quill felt more prepared seeing the Beedrill mega evolve this time compared to the last. It was like seeing the same trick performed over and over again!

And while he isn't quite as big or strong, he does have a brand new toy box of moves to play with. So, ready to give a taste of the wasp's own medicine, he fires some Twineedles right back at her!
