Fenelle allows demself a breath of relief that this wild capture maneuver actually worked. Usually, dee is quite sure that the capture would be successful since der pokémon would guarantee it, or it's just about stealing a pokéball ... the Safari Zone is harder than dee thought. Of course, there's the option of sniffing out the pokémon beforehand, but ...

... nah.

It seems like the Mienfoo lingering nearby also smells Fenelle's bad vibes and decides to stay away. This in turn makes Fenelle frown, wondering if there's even that many pokémon around as advertised. Immediately, der phone is in der hands again, sending a text to Sailor.

Why were you running? dee signs with a frown, looking at how out of breath der pokémon are as they finally make their way back. Behind them, a mess of thrown pokéballs and a trainer following suit - gladly, one stern look from Fenelle with a raised eyebrow is enough to make them skedaddle. You could've used self-defense, dee comments, but the pokémon don't pay attention anymore.

Unlike Fenelle, who has spotted something interesting - a flock of Mareep, off to the side. It seems to be part of the advertisement for the Mareep Wool booth right nearby, but Fenelle is more interested in how the sheep pokémon interact with one another, seemingly forming duos ... could it be?

Dee nods at der autism gang, who actually pay attention and understand. While they distract the booth owner with the cutest of their chaos, Fenelle discreetly throws a pokéball, trying to nab one of the Mareep for demself.

Alright, first up's a Fletchling. While vastly unimpressive for Fenelle, dee has heard there might be someone searching for this pokémon around ... so dee would try to capture it. Dee flexes der arms, stretching their noodliness to the max, before starting a swing- and another-

The Fletchling just stares at dem as dee wildly circles der arm, until she eventually grew a bit tired of the shenanigans there. She opens her wings to leave, just as Fenelle's finally releasing the ball at the weirdest angle possible, and-

-manages to hit the Fletchling square on her head. The ball opens and a red beam sucks her in. Now's to hoping she stays inside ...

Fenelle gladly follows Chu-e as they take the charge - just like Chu-e is used to leadership, Fenelle is used to following. While dee does occasionally take the lead, especially when it comes to strategising and planning because dee's good at that, there's a distinct lack of ambition to rise in power.

However, it's different now. There's a pull to it, and who's Fenelle not to follow it? Chu-e agrees, too, so they make their way deeper. Into the dark, a darkness that seems to intensify while they're walking. It begins to become unnerving, and dee turns to der companion to sign- it's too dark to sign.

And then, they're surrounded. Bright white eyes stare at them, seemingly floating in the air briefly. Something enters der mind, and dee flinches - it's a jagged mess of letters, and words, but- dee finds der hand trying to reach for Chu-e, in fact. Der usual state of physical distance appears unbearable in this isolating darkness.

That's because it's fossilised wood. It's literally Sudowoodo. Like Pseudo-wood.

Fenelle looks at Thea with an incredulous look - neither of them would budge on this topic, dee feels it in the air. And they would not be able to escape until they'd actually punch the right answer in (and dee knows it). The confinement of an escape room have never felt more real, now it's not fun and games anymore, but ...

Let's work on something else first.

There's plenty of puzzles left, and while Thea's distracted, dee would snipe in and put in the correct answer.

Fenelle openly stares at Thea's message for a good and solid minute, re-reading and reading over and over again if dee actually hasn't misread. What the fu. What the absolute.

Fenelle is playing around with a little game to be solved to get the key when Thea has something new written in the notebook. Dee puts the wodden puzzle down, and instead comes over to look at the hint Thea's working on. For a moment, dee falls silent, thinking as they go through the library of pokémon in der mind, before starting to type.

Hmm, I think Ditto and Zoroark are special cases ... whatever typing Ditto currently has is exactly what you're expecting. For Zoroark, however, ... I know that some are rather confused by the typings of Swablu or Fletchling, since this changes from normal ... but there's also Sudowoodo, I guess.

It's wild to dem how anyone could mistake that, but there's people around - but it's already in the name that it's not a Grass type.

Fenelle notices the waves, and also- it's quite hard not to pick out a jogging Thea from the crowd of rather leisurely moving people in the mall. Der expression doesn't exactly smile, but there's a hint of it as dee waves back, signing, Hello.

The hurried handwriting is a bit hard to read, but dee has plenty of experiences with decoding even the most inintelligible writing, so dee just shakes der head, signaling It's no problem.

Dee uses der phone to communicate a bit further, but so far, there's not really much to do while they're waiting in line. Gladly, it doesn't take long until they'd be guided to their room - a bit pokémon-knowledge themed, with the plotline being something along the lines of becoming the best pokémon trainer or something. Dee isn't really interested in that plot in particular, so dee starts looking around while the video with the plotline (subtitled) runs.

There's several puzzles in the room, and especially one that asks for the typings of some "false friend" pokémon.

Fenelle enters the Safari Zone reading, much to the worry of the attending workers - however, none of them disturbs dem, seeing that dee seems to miraculously dodge anything that could be in der way. The phone in der hands has the Hoenn Draconology opened up as PDF, and dee is currently reading, seeing if dee could figure out something interesting about Hisuian Goodra ...

... except the fact that it is really friendly, as Fenelle has figured out first hand. But as so often with gentle giants, their anger can turn out to be devastating ...

Dee turns of der screen and pockets der phone eventually, starting to actually pay attention to der surroundings. Dee has four safariballs, and intends to use them all.

Fen's eyes widen as a gigantic Orthworm appears out of nowhere. This ... definitely has not been something dee considered, paying more attention to the physical laws of potential and acceleration, but ...

You never act isolated; you never move in an ideal world with no friction and point-shaped objects.

Does this Orthworm exist in real life? dee signs to Theo, but- his attention, and then ders is elsewhere. There's no enemies to worry about - in fact, they might want to seek distance from the Orthworm themself. Or ... What's that? dee asks, pointing upwards at the shadow, then signing What?
