Sasha stepped out of the Corviknight taxi with her Pawmo in tow and closed the door behind her. As the great bird lifted the carriage to depart, the woman took a deep breath of fresh mountain air. How wonderful, to get out of the city for a change. [break][break]

Looking around, Sasha found herself at the gates of a ranch specializing in shiny Pokémon. She'd been curious about it ever since she'd heard about it, but hadn't found time to visit. Until that day, of course. [break][break]

Walking down the main path of the ranch, Sasha noticed a younger woman engaged in chores. Drawing up to the fence, Sasha leaned her hands against it and called out to get the girl's attention. [break][break]

"Hello! Do you work here? I'm Sasha, the volunteer for the day."

Taking a deep breath, Sasha pushed open the office door at the muffled, "Come in." After making sure to close it behind her, she crossed the space to stand in front of Mr. 's desk. [break][break]

As she walked, her amber eyes darted around the room out of habit, taking in key details: all possible exits (the door through which she'd just entered and the open window), furniture she could use for cover, potential improvised weapons. [break][break]

Her gaze quickly refocused on the seated man, however. Fighting down her nerves, she extended a hand toward him. [break][break]

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Roche. I'm Sasha Huang. Thank you for giving me this opportunity," she said, remembering to offer a polite smile as well. Then she held out the professional folder clasped in her other hand. "My résumé." [break][break]

Whether Colin shook her hand and took the folder from her or not, she remained standing. She'd wait until he invited her to take a seat before settling into any chair.

Sasha did not know how she'd ended up in a tropical jungle when she'd just been traveling through the Silent Icelands. One moment, she was hurrying through the snowy landscape—now thankfully devoid of horrific, frozen statues of Pokémon. Then she slipped and tumbled into this enormous crevasse, spraining her ankle. [break][break]

Blinking back tears from the pain, Sasha groped for a Pokéball at her belt. Opening it, she released her Milcery. "Can you help me out, please?" [break][break]

The small Pokémon released an AROMATIC MIST. Sasha felt bolstered, even though her ankle still throbbed. [break][break]

Suddenly, discordant noises echoed through the area. Spooked, Sasha turned to see strange, Volcarona-like Pokémon fly past, fleshy purple growths attached to their bodies. One of them spotted the woman and her Pokémon, changed its flight path, and headed straight for them. [break][break]

"Oh no. Not today, Arceus," Sasha said, quickly recalling Milcery and releasing Grimmsnarl. [break][break]

He took the full brunt of the ACID SPRAY before shoving the robotic Pokémon through the air with DARK PULSE. Then, seeing that his trainer was injured, he scooped her up in his arms and made a break for the nearest path upward. [break][break]

use a SPECIAL DEFENSE STAT RAISING MOVE.

A dozen QUICK BALLS scattered across the pavement in front of Sasha, filling the air with the sound of metal and plastic clacking against stone. She froze, a plastic bag of late-night convenience store dinner in one hand, her phone in the other. [break][break]

"What in the world?" she barely had time to blurt out before she caught sight of some Amoonguss and Foongus by an overturned crate. Several long, fleshy, purple appendages sprouted from their bodies. [break][break]

Sasha watched as their spores drifted upward, bathing a nearby tree. Immediately, mushrooms and other fungi sprouted from the trunk. [break][break]

"That doesn't look good," she said mildly, her face creased in a slight frown. At her side, her Pawmi uttered a small bark of caution. "You're right, we should hurry home. The authorities will take care of this." [break][break]

She sighed as her stomach growled, a reminder of her predicament. "And anyway, this ramen won't cook itself." [break][break]

Sasha hurried away from the scene with Pawmi at her heels. The rodent paused only briefly to glance over his shoulder, electricity sparking along his furry body, as if anticipating the need for self-defense. Then he bounded away after his trainer. [break][break]

  • Sasha Huang was born in Cerulean City to parents Dennis and Cindy. Her mother homeschooled her for the better part of her childhood, though she did attend public high school. Unfortunately, both of her parents died in a car accident when she was 19 years old.
  • After the accident, she moved to Hoenn by herself and attended Lilycove Community College. She graduated with an Associate's degree in Studio Arts.
  • Sasha spent the next 10 years unsuccessfully applying to various art-related careers. She made ends meet by taking commissions as a freelance artist, selling prints of oil paintings and digital illustrations.
  • Recently, she felt the pressing need for more income, so she acquired a job as 's personal assistant.
  • She currently lives in Lilycove City.

  • Sasha Huang was born in Cerulean City as Astrid Li, the only daughter of Benjamin Li, a history teacher, and Miranda Li, a travel agent. Her mother did homeschool her until it was time for her to attend high school.
  • Her parents were loyal agents of Team Rocket. They were grooming her to become a sleeper agent for the eventual takeover of Johto. All her interests, habits, and mannerisms were developed as a result of her training.
  • When she was nineteen and ready to apply for colleges in Johto, she learned the truth from her parents. Deeply shocked and horrified, she fought them instead of submitting to their expectations. Unfortunately, matters escalated, and she ended up killing her parents in self-defense. To cover up her deed, she made her Grimmsnarl mutilate the bodies so it looked they had died from a Pokémon attack.
  • When she moved to Hoenn, she adopted a completely new identity.
