AIRI WATANABE is gifting Kokou Inudai Scraggy and Shinobu Awai is gifting her Swablu 

As Airi was in the heat of another battle, Kokou found himself studying another Pokemon that had wandered into the cave. This one was a Bulbasaur, and it seemed to be extra friendly. It had initially been drawn in by Renji's cool composure, confident in the people that Renji was surrounded by. The good vibes were infectious and Bulbasaur felt safe, she started rearing up on Renji, trying to get him to play, but Renji was a firmly serious Pokemon that didn't just simply play with stray Pokemon, he stood by and watched over Shinobu and Airi as the Bulbasaur tempted him.

Eventually the Bulbasaur would catch Shinobu's attention, and he would approach the Pokemon. Bulbasaur was immediately friendly with Shinobu and nuzzled up to his leg right away. "How about you come with me Bulbasaur?" Shinobu said, to which the Pokemon chirped happily. Shinobu pulled out a PokeBall and tossed it at the Bulbasaur.
AIRI WATANABE

Watching Airi battle the Pangoro was quite amazing. She had excellent control of Bean and their teamwork was fantastic. Shinobu watched his friend with stars in his eyes, mystified by her fantastic combination of attacks. Bean was quite the special Mudkip, and it was clear that Airi had spent a lot of time with her Pokemon. Shinobu couldn't help but wonder what the rest of her team was like. If Bean was this impressive, there was no telling just what else her other Pokemon could do.

Once Airi had caught Pangoro, Shinobu walked over to her and reached down to pet Bean. "You did a great job Bean." Shinobu said, and then looked at Airi. "You didn't do half bad yourself, Airi. The way you control your Pokemon is outstanding! I've got some real competition." Shinobu laughed heartily in the cave, with an echo following him. "Well I guess we should get going this way." Shinobu pointed down a corridor.
AIRI WATANABE

Staring into Airi's eyes with unbridled glory, Shinobu said to her, "Yep! I caught the Toxel. Mission complete! But don't worry, I'll help guide you through the cave while you search for your Pokemon. By the way, what are you looking for?" Shinobu asked curiously. Airi hadn't declared which Pokemon she was looking for, so he had just assumed she was searching the cave randomly, but when she said she was looking for one specifically, Shinobu became determined to find his new friend the Pokemon that she was seeking.

Walking around for awhile, Shinobu and Airi looked through the caves for Pokemon. Only time would tell if Airi would find her Absol, and Shinobu was there for her throughout it.

To Shinobu's surprise, when he went outside to see what the disturbance was, he saw a woman flying on a massive Beedrill. The lady looked to be having a good time, and not a captive, so Shinobu waved at her. As he was waving, he caught her eye and motioned for her to come down and talk with him. Shinobu was a friendly trainer, with social skills honed from being a doctor. he was good with most people. He was certain this lady was eccentric, and looked forward to making conversation with her. It wasn't everyday that someone riding a giant Beedrill descended from the sky!

When Shalin came within earshot, Shinobu introduced himself. "Good day! My name is Shinobu. Welcome to the Awai Estate." Shinobu spread his arms wide, indicating that all the land that could be seen was his. "You may know me as Doctor Awai from Petalburg City. I was once a doctor, but now I spend my days training my Pokemon." Shinobu pulled a poke ball out of his pocket and released Renji the Riolu. The small baby pokemon looked scared of the giant beedrill, but didn't run from it. Instead Renji stood his ground, watching the Beedrill with ever vigilance.
Shalin Nariya

During their escape, Yuina left behind some of the Poison Tera Crystals that Shinobu and Renji had mined. Typically, Shinobu would have been offended she didn't think it important to take his hard work with them, but under the extreme delusions of the Ultra Sea, he couldn't think straight. Shinobu was lost in a world of colors and voices, none of which he had ever encountered before. His mind was working on overdrive and there wasn't much time left. Shinobu staggered behind Yuina, still barely conscious of his original goal in the Ultra Sea.

The Ultra Beasts had been unleashed and there was a hordge charging after Yuina's group. Renji, Shinobu's Riolu, help his trainer get through the caves, leaving Heatran to take care of the Pokemon after them. Shinobu would have been impressed had he been in reality, but he was lucky to have Yuina by his side. The upstart miner escape just behind his mentor.

Stumbling to his feet, Shinobu was still out of it. The worst had come and gone, but now he was experiencing extreme vertigo and the colors of the Ultra Sea were vast and vibrant. He almost felt sick, and let out a cry for help. Hearing his trainer, Renji immediately came to Shinobu's side and helped him to his feet. He held Shinobu's hand and followed Yuina away from the strange Pokemon that was now ravaging the area

Heatran was an impressive Pokemon, and Shinobu had never seen it in action before. Even zoned out like he was, the trainer inside of Shinobu could appreciate Yuina's command over her Pokemon. Her dance with Heatran was elegant, and Shinobu couldn't help but take in Yuina's glory through an inebriated fog. "You know, you are, impressive." Shinobu stumbled through his words, watching in awe as Heatran tore the ground up with Earth Power.

With the coast temporarily clear, Renji, Shinobu, Yuina and her Pokemon made their escape from the treacherous fusion Pokemon.

Once Shinobu had secured his successful catch, he turned around to boast with Airi about his luck finding the Pokemon he was searching for, but to his dismay there was no one around. Shinobu started calling out for his friend and speed walking up and down the corridors.

After some thorough searching, Shinobu saw Airi and a young Zorua eye to eye. He wondered if she would have the chance to catch it, but didn't say anything. Shinobu wanted to give his pal the best opportunity to catch her dream Pokemon, so he remained silent, but then the Zorua dashed away. It seemed luck was not yet on Airi side, but Shinobu was holding his breath for her. He knew her dream Pokemon would reveal itself soon.

"Bad luck. You'll get the next one. I won't stand in your way." Shinobu winked in the dark cave at Airi, his blue eye disappearing into the darkness for just a split second. "Well, lets head through this way. We haven't checked out over there." Kokou pointed his flashlight and motioned for Airi to go first, he was a gentleman after all.

When Yuina suggested that Shinobu take a break, he was, at first offended. The delirium of the expansive Ultra Sea was beginning to drive him mad. He scoffed, "Psshaw, i'm fine Yuina. Just look at the colors, they're fine!" Kokou continued to rummage behind Renji, picking up tiny pieces of Poison Tera Crystals.

After a moment of painstaking labor, the hallucinating trainer was feeling the exhaustive effects of the area. Every movement of his legs seemed to bring upon a quaking throughout his entire body, and frankly, Kokou was not doing well. He flopped down on the ground, sitting with his knees raised up, and said to Yuina, "Maybe you are right, I could use a nap." Kokou closed his eyes for just a second.

As his eyes were closed, Kokou saw a myriad of colors swirl around him. The vibrant neon shapes zoomed in and out, rippling with his every breath and painting Kokou an image of his life. In that very second Kokou felt as if everything was right in the world, he felt alive. As he tried to open his eyes, feeling refreshed, Kokou found his eyes were glued shut. Just a second had gone by, but he had experienced so much of life so quickly, and now he was trapped inside of his own head. Kokou began screaming, and then he opened his eyes finally.

It seemed that it was just a dream, as Kokou woke up feeling noticeably sober. Or rather, more sober than when he had closed his eyes. This wouldn't last however, as when Kokou went to stand back up, the gravity in the room seemed to shift and Kokou fell straight to the ground.

"Right, where we are." Shinobu said to Yuina, with a little bit of hesitation in his throat. He didn't exactly understand where he was, or what he was doing, but he knew he had a task at hand and that was all that mattered to him. Since becoming a trainer, Shinobu sought out trials and tribulations in order to better prove his worth to his Pokemon, and this was just another part of it. Shinobu was to be mining Poison Tera Crystals. He had been warned of the intoxicating effects of being in this particular area of the ultra Sea, but only time would tell how Shinobu would react. He was a strong man, in good health. But it remained to be seen whether or not he had what was necessary to become a successful deep diver.

With Renji, Shinobu's Riolu, out of his poke ball, Shinobu proceeded to mine the ore. Renji dislodged the crystals from the wall using his great physical strength, and Shinobu hurried around his Pokemon collecting the crystals. It was hard work, but Shinobu was certain that it would be rewarding. He rummaged through the purple dirt, looking for the shiny crystals that Renji had punched free from the wall of the Ultra Sea.

While he was bent over, Shinobu had a terribly dumb thought. "Wouldn't it be rich if your Pokemon could eat these crystals, what with it being so prestigious and all. That'd be pretty amazing." Shinobu looked up at Yuina and his eyes were a rainbow hue of colors. The poisonous gas of the Ultra Sea had begun to infect Shinobu's mind and he wasn't thinking clearly. He started laughing, but then he proceeded to pick up the Tera Crystal that he was just looking for.

With Obstagoon caught, Shinobu walked over to Renji and gave him a high five. "You did a great job, bud." Shinobu said to his Pokemon pal. Just then, Shinobu heard a skittering in the cave. He looked and to his surprise, he saw the small Baby pokemon chewing on a rock in the corner of the cave. Shinobu nearly let out a cry of joy, but he was careful not to disturb the Pokemon and instead pumped his fist. He snapped his fingers, signaling to Airi that he had found another Pokemon.

Reaching into his utility belt, Kokou pulled a dusk ball from his holster. It was perfect for catching Pokemon in caves, and would make a great home for Shinobu's new Toxel. He aimed carefully, not needing to adjust for the wind, and lugged his ball forward. The black and green poke ball soared through the air and clunked Toxel right on top of the noggin. The ball bounced off of the Pokemon and opened u in mid air, Toxel began to digitize and the containment process began. The Baby pokemon was sucked into the bal. The ball wiggled, once, then twice. Kokou held his breath.

As Shinobu led Airi through the cave, they made various twists and turns. It seemed like they were lost, but Shinobu had an excellent sense of directions. The two came up on a blocked in passageway and had to turn back eventually though, and Shinobu couldn't help but sigh. "It's a cruel twist of fate, traveling all this way to find a Pokemon, only to be met by a head on obstruction. Maybe we will-" Kokou was cut off when he ran into a big furry wall of muscle.

It seemed that Shinobu had run into a rare Pokemon after all, not the one he was looking for of course, but he was pleased none the less. Staring up at Obstagoon, Shinobu was awe struck. The Pokemon was certainly imposing, and would fit on Shinobu's team. But it would be a matter of catching it first. Obstagoon looked incredibly powerful, and Shinobu was in arms reach of him. Ducking down, Shinobu hit the ground and rolled backwards. "Renji! USe Swords Dance!" Renji started flash stepping to Shinobu's side, eager to protect his trainer. As he made his way to the Obstagood, Renji's attack was boosted and he came forward with a Force Palm. The obstagoon went tumbling back, but it wasn't enough. Renji wasn't nearly as powerful as this Dark type was. The Obstagoon came forward with a cross chop, reaching down towards the Emanation Pokemon. Renji, surprisingly, caught the Obstagoon's paws and gave him a flip of the hips. Obstagoon went flying into the wall, Renji had a mean Counter.

With Obstagoon temporarily out of commission, Shinobu took action and threw the poke ball he had been holding in his hand. It clinked off the Obstagoon's head and proceeded to contain it. The ball shook, only time would tell if it was a successful catch.
