Oh crap. So this hasn't been a vacated home after all - well, not that it should bother her, since she has a reason to be here, but still ... she finds herself panicking and by will of panic, she hides rather than making herself known to the other, eyes wide as she disappears further into the shadows and into the confinements of the bedroom were somewhere, a charging cable should be ... But ... a knife? Oh god, did her friend not give a heads-up to their roommate, or whatever? That's so embarrassing to say, though ... Like, who would actually expect a teenager to get in through the window, for a charging cable no less? Like hell a group of phone addicts doesn't have a spare cable somewhere?[break]

But before she can fully commit to whether or not she wants to reveal herself, Vespa finally takes note of the Hisuian Arcanine in the corner - and immediately backing off to the wall, possibly knocking even more things off, should the room's resident have a lot in that direction. "Shit," leaves her immediately, quietly under her breathe, as she gestures for the other to shut up. At least it's not attacking ... at least that. But the Misdreavus is having other ideas as it flies even closer to the Arcanine, looking at it wide-eyed before snickering and pulling faces, hoping to further the other's barks. "Shut- let it be," Vespa can only hiss at the both of them, but to quite no avail.

Here lies the endless recklessness of one silly teenager who doesn't quite know where to draw the line between what she sees on social media and what is reality. Not that she isn't quite adept at media literacy, for starters, knowing quite well how to distinguish reality from the likes of fiction, but ... when there are ghosts involved she does not quite know how to rein herself in and keep a more rational than excited approach to life. She just wants to know.[break]
[break]
Thus, she heads off with her usual gang, deciding to let the Grookey tag along because she feels at unease leaving him alone, too, though it is the Misdreavus that accompanies her through the sandy winds of the deserts, all until ... "Here we are," Vespa hums, a sparkle visible in her eyes as she descends the steps. Her preparations have been rather lackluster - there is no sophistication to her, but she tried to make the most of what she reasonably owns, concluding a brute force of sheer curiosity and stubbornness that she ventures with.[break]

She does notice the faint footsteps in the sands, marking the arrival of someone else prior, but she doesn't think much on it until she is engulfed in the shadows of the tomb, darkness cast over her as she enters those once-sacred, desecrated places where Ghost types seem to roam a little. For now, she does not bother with using her phone as flash light - and only when she jumps at the faint figure of another, does she remember that she isn't alone, but a "WOAH!" echoes throughout the graven halls regardless. Or maybe, it's-?

Thus, they venture forth amidst the fog, unknowing where they may be ending to be ... but strangely, Vespa doesn't feel as concerned for her safety despite what happened prior. There is eerie silence going on in this place filled with remorse and unease, but she finds herself oddly at peace the second time. It doesn't feel more familiar than before, but as she is engulfed with (mostly) ghostly presences herself ... it focuses her own feelings towards the realm of excitement.[break]

There is so much she hasn't seen, after all, and the living world could be quite dull in comparison.[break]
[break]
Fully wanting to immerse herself in this world for once, she does not pay much attention to her phone - until it starts to play jagged tones, skipping through her whole (a little embarrassing, a little cool) music library without fully giving each song the time it deserves. "H-hey!" she hisses, hastily putting it out of her pocket to be greeted with a huge grin on her display, "ya! You don't get to skip songs so easily!" Furrowing her eyebrows, she is quick to press back when the presence wants to skip forth, ending up in a fierce battle with no song ever listened to its full end. It's only when she closes the music app and attempts to shut down her phone fully that a shiny Rotom emerges from her device. Looking rather unhappy, it attacks - but her partners are right by her side, countering one after the other until she is finally able to catch this peculiar Pokémon. "Hmph! You really should let songs vibe out, y'know?" she speaks to the Pokéball, eyes further gazing across the barren lands. And she decides, she could let one song play out.[break]

No one here to judge her taste in music, ... right?

After that one catch that Vespa hasn't even quite noticed, the whole troop moves on from where they are, with the young student's eyes watchfully looking left and right in hopes to recognise anything from that curious expedition alongside of - but, she draws up blank. Or more than not recognising anything at all, it all feels a bit ... familiar. Strangely so, in the way that repetition does, even as it isn't necessarily the same. It feels like déjà-vu, but it very well could not be. Like she saw - but she couldn't be certain she truly did see.[break]
[break]
"Did I land in a different part?" she wonders out loud as her ghostly entourage follows her. Only the Misdreavus is veering off every now and then, enjoying the sights and disappearing alongside the fog and the mist.

Actually, now that she thinks about it ... the saying is different, isn't it? Is it fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on you? Mulling it over in her head as she heads out to explore the Border in this specific kind of way, without much else to accompany her, she wonders, and wonders, and ...[break]

A Shuppet appears in her view, immediately catching her attention as she throws a ball more out of reflex than anything, seeing the shape disappear into a light before properly registering what just happened. "Uh ... now how does the saying go again?" Vespa grumbles, muttering to herself as she continues through the mist, everyone close by her side - or, not quite, as those Ghosts are also quite the wandering spirits, huh ...

Vespa doesn't do much more than listening to what Josh has to tell about the deceased Pokémon, nodding here and now to signalise that she is still listening - and unlike in school where she sometimes looks attentive, but really is not, she actually is in this moment. It's quite a bittersweet story, making her wonder if ever such a fate would catch up with her. But then again ... it's not like she is in the perils and the heats of it all. Her position is a strange one, if one ever asked, for sure. "Ah ... I see," the young student only says after a while, more thoughtful than one could have expected from her, "that ... uh ... sounds bad. My condolences." Again? Did she say that already? Ugh, her memory, for real ... "I'm ... uh, I'm glad you had the time together, though? I'm sure she had a fulfilled life by your side."[break]

There is not much else that she can add, for once in the position of a listener moreso as she greets the small Dreepies with a smile and a small wave that appear upon a Dragapult, reminding her of the gentle Drakloak she has at home. "Can't say I know much about Hoenn's figures of fame these days, but I'll look it up," she can only remark with a half-salute when her gaze is caught by a Talonflame, reminding her of her best friend, , and the one that she raised throughout the years. Only after does she notice the Salamence, her fierce gaze making her curious about the other, but ... there is something that keeps her from throwing a ball. Looking at the Roaring Moon that is still out by her side, she hums back to Josh, "I think ... I'll get comfortable with this one first. Gotta make sure I actually know what to do with Dragon types when most I know are Ghosts." Maybe? That's a responsible thing to do, right?

As she breathes the strange air of this place, contemplating life as she lays on the grass, she doesn't quite notice a figure approaching, her every being dedicated to study the clouds above and intent on not perceiving anything else. That does change when she feels like she saw something coming flying into her peripheral, and then ... an actual touch. For a moment, she thought it to be one of the residual Ghosts playing a prank on her and she stills in that moment, not wanting to scare it off. But then ... Oh. An actual, human voice follows, and she finally looks towards the direction of her shoe, sits up fully as she notices the other, not bothering with what of grass stalks and dirt may be on her back right now. "Oh ... hi," she says, a bit lamely, as she looks around, wondering. "A cig? Uhh ... not really, but - maybe -" she looks at one of her Ghost pokémon. Only the Hisuian-not-Hisuian Zorua is kind enough to point out the cigarette that is laying a few foot further from Vespa, and she points at the same place that Fuyue points at.[break]

"There you go-" Vespa is just about to say when something catches her interest, accelerating her heartrate as she not only sees a Ghost type she has never seen in person before, but also ... this looks kinda odd in colouring. She should ... "Nebel, weak it a lil', and then we throw a ball!" she decides hastily as she teams up with the Lampent, disregarding whatever else there may be as she is only focused on catching the Brambleghast. The Hisuian-not-Hisuian Zorua, in the meawhile, waits idly by the cigarette until it is picked up.

Vespa's mouth opens to a singular O, wide and understanding in a way that one can almost faintly hear the lightbulb turning on at the very name drop of Arceus. Oh. Ooooh. Right, right, that one ... that one. She nods in understanding while understanding nothing at all, not too sure how this view holds up against science and non-science, alike, but it is what she knows of, too - Arceus, as the creator of this world. "Aaaah, I see. The name slipped me for a moment, sorry," she remarks at last, nodding. So this is like ... "Are you like a priest or something?"[break]

Before she can get an answer or even truthfully notice that something is off about the other's tale - if she even noticed at all -, her eyes are gazing after another Pokémon, eagerly awaiting to add it to her collection and, by extension, family. She hums happily as she picks up the ball from the snow, turning to Isaac again, who seems to have followed the Misdreavus to where she ran off to. "So ... what are you doing, y'know, if you want to share? Why this place?" she asks before she remembers that he asked questions first. With her eyes gazing over the Silent Icelands and eyeing an Arctibax that she sends the Misdreavus to battle and catch by handing her one of her Pokéballs, she finally finds time to reply to Isaac, "a ... little? Like, not too much - I should be able to figure out where to go to in the long run. Just let me ... think a bit. But of course, if you'd like to go about on your own, go ahead." Is Vespa speaking with the faux confidence of a barely grown-up teenager? Heck, yeah.

What is she doing in this place, quite unfamiliar to her, in the dead of the night, having sneaked out from some family outing that some friends had organised? Hell, if she really knew, but there is something ... intriguing about what she read in her bout of insomnia, something about the wandering spirits of the deceased and all that hangs together with it. There is simple and plain intrigue, and Vespa is nothing but weak to the call of adventure and - much more than that - Ghosts. How strange would it be to encounter such - would it actually help her to understand the perils of her current times more? Or maybe, she'll make a new acquaintance, just that they are more undead than alive? Or ... just ... something else. She isn't so sure yet.[break]

Now wandering the perimeters of Sootopolis alongside her trusted ghostly companion, Quinn Crisp the Misdreavus, she is actually crunching on a popsicle while she throws little ice cream bits, coated in chocolate, to the Misdreavus. Is it quite too chilly for such an icy treat? Maybe, probably, but it doesn't stop either as she feels her brain freeze. "Ugh ..." she mutters, unlocking her phone and squinting hard at the sudden light amidst the darkness, and posting something about how she regrets her life choices when - wait. She looks up. Is there a noise-?

Vespa likes to loiter - walk around for no reason at all. It frees the head, it gives her sense of aimlessness that she is feeling all the time, anyway, some form and maybe even meaning. Plenty things she found like this, just walking around and living her life, though most of the time, she does ... simply just get lost. Most of the time, she probably heads back home before truly discovering what the world has in store for her because she also wants to get back to game and do other stuff, like not doing her homework.[break]
[break]
Today, she ventures a little further than usual, finding the loud and filled streets of Slateport's lower district rather fascinating. It takes some effort to get through the masses here and now, glad when she can rest easy in other parts before things crowd once again. She has no real goal for what she wants to achieve, but ... there is something interesting. Something she hasn't seen before during her recent trips to this place. A ... circus? The Misdreavus that is accompanying her lurks ahead, invisibly scouting out the area, as the Grookey on her shoulder looks, too, mirrored in his face the same intrigue that is on Vespa's.

Vespa and Halloween - Vespa and Trick-or-Treating is kind of a curious combination, actually, despite her general fondness for Ghost types and typically all that entailed. However ... after growing out of being a small teen and growing to be quite an obnoxious teenager, she somehow forgot the joy of going around and gathering candies. It's still a little embarrassing to dress up and do the same, but fortunately, she does have a very trusty partner by her side this year, with the Misdreavus equally as eager to collect some sweets and little treats. So, she throws herself into some old witch hat and a purple cape that both match the Misdreavus' final form of a Mismagius, takes one of her witchy tote bags and off she goes![break]
[break]
... However, that still doesn't quite erase the embarrassment over going door to door and asking for candy when she is basically a grown-up. (Sort of. Not really. The point stands, though.) Fortunately, going merely going through the streets isn't that bad, but ... how to get some damn candy? Urgh. Ugh. Uhhhhh. As she comes by near the central mall, she looks at a sign of a store promoting a challenge to gain some candy. The title - Char-Candy-rade - is pretty dumb if you ask her, but ... exchanging glances with the Misdreavus, she makes a beeline for the store nonetheless-[break]

-only to find out that the challenge - a game of charade - is only doable in teams of two. Racking her head, she wonders if she should call or , but then again, she really wants to get started already and they probably need some time to get here ... ugh ... what to do, what to do-?

Amidst her scattered brain, it takes a moment to register that is talking to her with the 'Woo'. Or that's what she supposes, with the entire Wooper mask and everything - oh, it'd be quite embarrassing if it's about the sound woo after all ... An embarrassing herself is quite the last thing she'd like to do in front of , though she is pretty certain that it already happened, like, a million times over. "Uh, me? Not, uh, really, they cackled more than they said anything significant," she replies with a curious looking-around. She cannot even quite make out the Ghosts that have accompanied her thus far ... Maybe they are off to some other task?[break]

Before she can elaborate further, however, a scream pierces the night, alerting the young student immediately as she stands guard, with her Misdreavus yet floating around idly, although she stopped snickering over the severity of the scream's effects.
