Kaida breaks away after a few seconds, head down as whispers, "Apologies. And thank you. I'll take care of myself when we get home." She managed to compose her face once more, appearing the picture of calm. The only giveaway was the way her hands clasped together, fingers pawing at each other in nervous energy. Whether it was the mothering or her near loss of faux calmness that had rattled her, she wasn't sure yet. [break][break]

"Draugr, come here." She ordered over the dragon-type, taking in its huge size. As a ghost-types, it didn't need to expend much energy in flight, and could likely carry quite a bit of weight. "I think Draugr here can carry quite a few people and, if all fails, I have two water-types who can tow people...but I'd rather not do that unless we sink." She didn't voice another possible plan, freezing the waters with Blizzard. It was simply a desperate back up just in case all else failed. They couldn't be too far from a city, they'd just need to push a little bit. [break][break]

"Do you have anyone that can fly?" She asked curiously, eyes flicking over to the Golurk. She had heard rumors and legends of such Pokemon flying, and had no idea if such stories held water. Nonetheless, she started calling over the civilians, patting Draugr as she pouted with humans clambering all over her back and head. [break][break]

They were going home.

Kaida could hear a rumbling echoing from her stomach as her party set off after Skyler, only stopping to return Din to his Pokeball. The Gorebyss would have to have a personal meal later. Kaida could arrange it. [break][break]

She wasnt sure what to expect, but it wasn't a food stall. At least it had chairs, she thanked silently as she waved Ormr and Hema to rest underneath the table. The two Pokemon were friendly enough, but their presence did draw several looks as they rested on Kaida's feet like limbless cats. [break][break]

Her nails tapped the table as they were presented with lemonade, clearly happy at the drink, though she could feel impatience rising as she awaited food. Skyler was a welcome distraction, "I've been a Ranger for years...first time picking up glitter...but I never wanted any other job. I just love Pokemon, so here I am. Why are you helping? Just want to?" While Kaida was paid, she didn't think it was enough for a treasure hunter to want to risk it as a Ranger helper.

The charming scene was actually rather relaxing, even prompting Kaida to bob in place alongside the music. An action she would soon curse even when her most logical thoughts told her there was no way she could have foreseen the mysterious popsicle from the skies. Maybe she'd soon have to consider bad luck followed her, at least recently, she thought too much chaos was happening around her. As the Marowak charged into the crowd, she focused on the task at hand. She could ponder the eerieness of her attraction of bad luck later. [break][break]

"There is no audience participating, it's a dance!" She cried out, losing the Marowak instantly. "Freya, find him!" She called out, the Salnazzle already weaving around bodies as she pursued the enraged Pokemon. Kaida kept a hand on one Pokeball, neglecting to release the Pokemon just yet. The situation was still under control. "Gotta catch him, come on!" She directed her order towards the man watching his own Marowak and, lacking any way to force him, simply starting pushing through the crowd towards where Freya had pursued. The lizard was quick and possessed venom in case she was resisted, the best case scenario would be for Kaida to arrive to a pounced on Marawok but, knowing her, it wouldn't be that easy.

At the topic of accessories, Kaida answered swiftly, already settled on one. "An anklet, it works out better for me." A less accessible area with a better chance of hiding it. She didn't need the enemy knowing she had access to the Mega Evolution. She didn't think much of the offer, except that there would certainly be a way she needed to pay it back. On that note..."Do you need something in exchange?" They were allies, she assumed, but he was still offering something valuable to her. Keeping the idea of paying back the gift was rather important to Kaida, if only to not be surprised. [break][break]

Silk's eyes flash as he rolled them over to Kaida, snapping back forward as she jerks her chin towards the Gallade, "Trap him." She was hoping he'd use the strange attack, and that he did. The sand crowded around the Sandaconda's head as he suddenly plunged forward and a brutal impact. Then, the special part happened. Much like a Sandstorm, sand swirled around the Gallade following impact, but was completely localized, focused only on harming the enemy. Only in this form was such an attack possible.

As soon as she was freed from the encroaching cameras and microphones, Kaida sighed out her accumulated stress, instantly less fearful. "Thank you. And yes, very much." She could still hear the reporters nearby, so she didn't dare raise her voice too high. A slight smile lingered in her face, though, at their brief freedom. [break][break]

She leans against a wall, thinking that she had answered the question plenty of times, but she couldn't justify not telling an ally of hers. Orion wasn't even being pushy about it, she had to be truthful. Better for everyone involved. "Yes. I died, completely and utterly, but now I'm back." Scratching at her neck in a faux show of relaxness, her voice attempting a show of humor, "They go after every story so eagerly, I guess they're finally happy to see something that's actually shocking." As she spoke, she chanced wandering a little further, wondering which part of the city they were at.

Kaida finally uncovers her eyes as Illeana draws closer, eyes rolling over her and those she was tasked with protecting. They were ok, they were all truly ok. They did it. [break][break]

She didn't say anything just yet, stumbling over to the side of the ship that the pirates had arrived from. Nothing. Nobody. The only thing she found was that the side of the ship was frozen over, covering a jagged hole. Rubbing her face tiredly, she turned back to Illean, "It's all over. They're done." She extended two Pokeballs, returning both Din and Njor. Her Pokemon were hurt, but she didn't quite feel comfortable with returning Draugr and Ormr until they were safe. [break][break]

Said Pokemon patrolled energetically, feeling a familiar responsibility. Today's scenario wasn't against Pokemon, but humans, and it was no danger. They had fed, fought, and now the territory was theirs. Just like old times, so why wasn't Kaida acting happy this time?

"We gotta go home." Her voice was rather pleading, not only for the ship not being fit to travel any longer, but her own encroaching tiredness. "I gotta go home. I'm hungry." A dire need to calm down occupied every moment of this situation, to put herself back into place, espicially in front of so many people. [break][break]

She leaned down and hauled up Ormr, hating how her hands shook. The serpent was calm enough, bumping his head To hers before slithering off. If she acted like them, wild and unsympathetic to her enemies...she couldn't imagine what kind of view people would have on her. She needed to calm down. To calm down, she could eat something or-goodness, she hoped it wouldn't be too awkward, and she already succumbed to a sort of wildness. "U-um, Illeana, I'm sorry." She whimpered before tossing her arms forward, an awkward hug for the sake of her own sanity. She would never pull this normally, but the nauseating heartbeat in her throat was almost too much. She could let go in just a moment, but she needed the moment to hide her teeth, to appear the normal Kaida.

Spicy food. The dilemma of sweet versus spicy, it gave Kaida pause. [break][break]

Unlike Skyler, Kaida did not sprint, only walking about briskly as she steadily cleaned. Her Pokemon could neither hold plenty of garbage, nor use Psychic abilities except for the Gorebyss steadily adding to their load. Thus, it was Kaida following her two serpent's taking the bulk of the work...and she could not lie. [break][break]

Lugging her last garbage bag, Kaida sidled up to where Skyler lay, shaking the bag and leaning forward, "Clearly you." She didn't look upset, food was food...but She was a little worried about what drink she'd end up having...she would have chosen sugary drinks, but what could Skyler choose?

She can't bear it, the way blood rushes in her ears, the way her stomach knots and pulses pain. Her mouth opens and closes helplessly as Illeana thanks her, only managing to croak out an "O-ok." hilariously understated given...everything. [break][break]

Arceus, she hated them. Every last one of them. So much that she felt her head was splitting open. No good. She couldn't actually do it, could she? [break][break]

Get them. [break][break]

She must have imagined it. There was no way Illeana said that to her. It must have been herself, and if her mind was already inventing reasons to be awful, she supposed she just might have to. This ship was under her protection, her territory. Anybody knew the consequences of that, right? Kaida barked, a strange, roaring sound as her hands moved, her Pokemon spying each and every word spied. Let's eat. How awful she was, making her Pokemon hunt prey too filthy to eat. At least she thought Illeana wouldn't understand the order she just gave. [break][break]

Ormr's fangs gleamed green as he sprung off her back, Giga Drain intent on restoring parts of his broken body. The ghostly Dragapult hesitated longer, already vastly feeling its energy rise in the fearful atmosphere, settled on yanking each enemy off the ship...right where Njor and Din had settled. Even without orders, they had beaten their pursuers, icy surfaces showing where they had frozen and bitten their enemies. It was simple survival. When a body hit the water, Kaida saw the pink shape of Din whirl around, deadly kiss incoming to any fleshy thing that got near. [break][break]

The hunt was successful, to say the least. [break][break]

Kaida covered her face, knowing it would be over soon. She had to, or risk losing her own place she felt she had carved into this society. She was no monster, and wouldn't watch...but if anyone saw the white of her smile, they would know this beast had no leash on.

Mega Evolution. It certainly sounded astonishing. "I never heard of it, but I suppose there's no other way to describe this." Silk whirled away from the Gallade when it was released, more sand adding to his personal tornado as he waited for some kind of cue. "Not yet, Silk. We're just...testing it." She mumbled. [break][break]

As Alexander spoke, she took out the stone she had, gleaming with power but devoid of any catalyst. Still, it worked, so did that mean their bond had reached a significant point? "So our bond made him this way?" Her face was tinged red, even as a smile stretched across her face, "That is good...very good. I'm, heh, really happy." Very embarrassing to say out loud, but what else could she do? "Should I get an accessory too? That looks easier." Rather than fearing she would lose the source of the power, her Pokemon and her would only need to remember the accessory. Very convenient. [break][break]

"In any case, thank goodness. It's a good thing. A good power, he can protect us even if we train alot." No matter how powerful her other Pokemon got, they could always rely on this burst of strength.

An event like this required a Ranger present just for necessity. A water-type on hand just in case the celebration got a little too hot. That still didn't mean that Kaida was completely adverse to the idea of having fun. [break][break]

Her work Pokemon stayed safety in a Pokeball, only necessary if the flames got out of control. Instead, Kaida released a Salnazzle and Charmeleon into the festivities, Freya and Loki weaving in the crowd like they were itching to join in the festivities. Better for this, she supposed, Jotun wasn't a night owl, anyhow. [break][break]

She pushed forward, near the proud owner of one of the Marawok...she had to assume, given all the screaming. "Very skilled." She observed out loud, waving her hand at Freya and Loki, who wandered a little too close, "Don't disturb them, Freya, Loki."

Kaida herself stared momentarily, not expecting for her current helper to actually decide to pay for the meal, but in no way was she going to complain! "Thank you...I'm a little hungry, I admit." When was she not? She wasn't the type to stuff herself and combined with constant work, food always looked an exciting prospect. [break][break]

"I'd rather be doing important stuff, rather than picking up after...idiots." A kind word that she had to search for, rather than spitting out a true insult. She didn't understand how one wrecked a beach so badly, hooligans with their shirts off dumping trash everywhere couldn't even be blamed on alcohol's "qualities". It was either idiocy or maliciousness, and even Kaida wasn't sure what to label it. [break][break]

Still, she moved with an energy that spoke of sort of enthusiasm. Espicially given the challenge was now on what they would eat and drink! She couldn't lose that, now could she? Hurriedly, she darted over to where Din had finished clearing out the tide, collecting such trash in a hurry before moving to wherever Ormr and Hema had sniffed out trouble.

"He gets more powerful, and attacks in ways that he didn't before." She explained as she released Silk, the Sandaconda blinking calmly up at Alexander as she quickly introduced them, "Silk, this is Alexander. He's a new ally, ok?" Another blink, and sniff. Silk had accepted the words. [break][break]

She didn't mind showing such a transformation, she didn't think there was very many ways it could harm her as long as Silk didn't show the true extent of the power. In one of her pockets was the stone, which she had figured out seemed to be the source of the transformation, and she turned towards Silk. "Silk, we're gonna use that stone...are you ready to change?" It didn't seem to hurt, but she wanted to make sure. Now the Sandaconda's eyes flashed with a sort of excitement, his sand pouch puffing out as he moved away from the humans. [break][break]

Pressing her hand to where the stone was, Kaida nodded to Silk, who's eyes hardened like he was looking at an enemy, and snarled. The spectacular light instantly came from the snake's body, consuming him as his eyes filled with a red fog. In seconds, Sand started whipping around the creature, the reddish fog swirling around his head as he drew upwards in what more resembled a tornado than a Pokemon. [break][break]

"This is Silk changing...it's amazing, but I don't understand." Power and patience emanated from the Sandaconda's eyes, controlling his new body and forever sandstorm as easily as breathing. He waited for Kaida, the source of the power, to give the transformation a point.
