Rex's wounds now just a little less restricting, he pushed himself up to sit a little taller. He did do a lot, didn't he? Even if all he could definitely remember was One ripping a monster's arm off and throwing up in the grass some time in the middle. [break][break]

Oh, also the kaiju. [break][break]

"I...don't know? Something definitely blew up, though." The power plant's explosion had been spectacular, but then the woman just up and disappeared for a long time! "And then this monster appeared!" His hands waved in desperate pantomime, "It was-it was bigger than a mountain!" It was quite possible he wasn't exaggerating as he usually did, that thing could have stepped on him and it wouldn't even notice, "I'm gonna need to ask her where she was while we were busy dealing with it! Could have used Mecha-Tyranitar or something..." A jokey tone entered his voice at the end, not truly angry about it. At least since she wasn't there during that fight (as far as he knew), he could proudly say, "One an' I helped beat it!"

Rex's scowl, not at all serious, faded as the Life Dew eased some of his pains, drawing a confused "What're you doing?" from the man. It was appreciated help, but he couldn't help but feel his tone rise in confusion, like it was completely unprecedented that the man would help for no reason. [break][break]

"Yeah, I don't think I was supposed to be out there." Rex admitted sheepishly, "It was-well, it was just there was these supplies coming that got stuck." The man shrugged, "I just heard starving was a really bad way to go, so I wanted to help...didn't think we'd kick their asses hard enough to win. Not sure I even did much out there." At this moment was pretty much the only time Rex would admit to such a thing, both that he didn't think they'd win and that he wasn't certain what his contribution had even been.

With the grotesque background sounds of the hurting and dying, Rex didn't actually notice Valerio approaching, having pulled up what thin sheets he had in some bid to knock himself back into unconsciousness. The hand suddenly settled on his head started a squawking yell out of him, moments before he noticed the friendly face, "Geez. You warn a guy before doing that shit?" He grumbled in faux anger, carefully slithering out of his covers as if the movement would cover up the fact he had flinched away from the touch. [break][break]

"And I'm a fighter, 'course I pulled through." He smirked, able to build up his own confidence from the slightest words, "Where the hell were you? Super secret mission? Spy? Somethin'?" He noted in the back of his mind that Valerio wasn't laid up like him...had to be a secret mission or something. Infiltration or other kinds of cool shit that didn't end with you about to pass out when you won. [break][break]

The very presence of Valeriowas like a balm for his racing thoughts, now he could think about anything but the fact that godforsaken beeping was probably going to continue for the next few days!

"Where else am I supposed ta' go?" Rex chuckled, "They barely wanted to let me come here, even. Like I'm a little kid or somethin'." Obviously, as Gavin ordered his own drink, Rex copied it and stared down at his new and unknown drink. He practically relished in the fact he was probably gonna hate it on first try. [break][break]

"Fine, see?" He grinned his widest grin, unaware of the fact it came off like a put upon expression. Instead, he tried to focus on anything than rapidly repeating memories of lucky breaks...he did not need to think to himself for the hundredth time of what could have happened if One flew just a little too slow. "You dissappeared for a little, didn't ya?" As if to avoid his drink for a moment, he gestured using the cup at Gavin, "That was mean, you know? I wanted you to see me kicking ass, you missed like all of it!" Hopefully the man had seen that giant kaiju thing, Rex wasn't even sure he could describe the monstrosity, or what had even taken it down...he just knew whatever happened, he helped. For sure. His words were chirpy and easy. AKA, he was just fine. Completely.

Finally allowed to wander where he pleased without a worried Rocket medic hovered, something about making sure shock was completely gone, Rex had made straight for the Main Foyer. Why? Cause an open bar was quite possibly the best thing ever and he was feeling lots better after being able to move around. [break][break]

A little bit of drink would do him well (When did it not?), and even better, there might be somebody there who wasn't in the war! He could tell them about destroying that kaiju thing! [break][break]

So, a little stiffly, Rex arrived and started making a beeline for the horrible liquid causer of embellishments and stories.

If there was anything that Rex was grateful for, the brainy doctors at least let him keep One's Pokeball on hand, though he "wasn't to release it under any circumstances". Somewhere nearby, he could hear some thing beeping...his Haxorus, he couldn't even remember which one it was, but he remembered it got blasted during battle. They put it near him so that he knew it was ok...he wasn't sure why, the beeping just irritated him. [break][break]

His irritation somehow found its way back to him, like it always did. Why was he laid up like this!? Well, they did see you puke during that fucking disaster. [break][break]

Rex slumped down in his rest, everything in him telling him to get up, leave. The tugging of bandages and healing wounds stopped him...he didn't want to see his own blood on white sheets, then he'd be sure to throw up again and they'd think there was something wrong with him. So he stewed, and wondered if anything exciting would happen this day.

Rex wasn't one to talk about the beauty of autumn. In his opinion, it was cold, dreary, and bright. All it led to was even colder months. There was one thing he knew about it, tough. It was the month farmers went to work and dug up shit, right? Harvest season! [break][break]

Plus, in all honesty, Rex didn't have the money to look all pretty like everybody else. So when he sauntered out, straw hat on head and in tattered clothing, he could almost giggle. Here he was being cheap, and he was gonna win too! He tossed One out as he walked, smiling at the crowd with bared teeth as he streched out and One was unleashed. A scarecrow and bird. One hopped around the man excitedly, like some gargantuan crow truly afraid of this "scarecrow". Still, there was some control to it, One didn't go wild unless Rex told it too, after all. The moment One got behind Rex, Ancientpower was launched. Rocky protrusions launched to the ground in neat little piles...as neat as One could manage. Still, the imagery was obvious as One flew forward with a triumphant cry, leaving Rex the scarecrow in the field for a moment. It was a harvest field. [break][break]

And it was over, One swooping down to grab Rex by the shoulders, carrying him off stage as he smiled like he already won. He knew it was great, after all, he showed the only great part of autumn. Food. [break][break]

Maybe it was a little cliché to be a devil on Halloween, but it was both a cheap outfit for Rex and a cheap outfit for One. Of course, the Aerodyactl was his personal star, and the two came out snarling, eager for the attention they'd get. "They're gonna love us, One, cause we're the scariest!" That was the point of the whole thing, right? Hopefully they wouldn't notice he just spray painted One and got a fake chain to walk him on. [break][break]

One and Rex watched uncomfortably as a Dark Void overtook where Jules had been falling, maybe they weren't supposed to attack him? No way they could blame him though, how could they? Two watched impassively, completely unconcerned as she verified the battle was over, claws slicing into flesh that she wanted to know were truly dead...they were dead. Four simply flopped to the ground, returned as Rex turned and his mind raced. What now? [break][break]

I really need a drink. [break][break]

As if on command, a League medic ran up to the white-faced, swaying man, worry flooding his voice, "Sir, are you ok? Do you need assistance?" Rex stumbled away, quickly taking cover against One, "Huh? Wha-Yeah, y-yeah man, I'm fine." His voice wavered and shook, wanting nothing more than to never be near here ever again. It was at the moment the medic stepped towards him, worry still swimming in his eyes, that Rex startled and leapt upon One, returning Two as he barked, "I'm fine!" and prompted One to fly. God, everything was so loud here. He had to find someone, if they told him what to do now, he'd be fine. Right. Find...Gav! Rex could see a differently colored Corviknight flying, that was Gav! He had to show him everything he did! The churning excitement in his gut was tinged with some happiness, but it felt no better. He'd make it work. [break][break]

One circled around to where he had left the rescued supplies. No real responsibility lurked in his actions, he just wanted to show what he did...plus, if Rocket wanted it, better he take it, right? Right. One scooped it up, surprisingly strong even now, and started the flight to where Cillian Quinn had landed. [break][break]

"Ga-" His mouth snapped shut, shit, there was a kid (Moana Reyes) here. What was Gav's other name again? "We did it." He settled on avoiding a name in general, looking over to the kid, "Anything I can do?" He more asked towards Gavin, hoping that he could have a task to do, anything to do than wait until he got to go home. Something had to be done, cause he wasn't tired yet.

One and the rest of Rex's Pokemon whirled away, squawking in surprise as the the rest of the attacks hit the monster...and unplugged it. Did they help? Rex didn't know, but he was definitely taking credit for the tail. [break][break]

"I did it!" His voice cracked under the stress, his face white, the very image of a man who didn't think they'd make it this far. "We won, One!" His Pokemon shrieked in triumph, terrifying sounds mixing with a Raichu's frankly adorable squeaks. He didn't mention them, but Two and Four celebrated regardless. Two for the bloody and won battle, Four for survival. [break][break]

He had to find Gav or something, where was the guy? He, Lulu, someone had to hear about this! [break][break]

And then he spotted two points in the sky, still facing off with the giant black monster. Something slimy and draconic streaked through the skies and vanished, but Rex didn't focus on that. Something disappeared could be agonized over later, he was focused on those two points-two enemies. [break][break]

Rex's face twisted into some kind of smile. They had to be the last of the enemies, the remnants of the ones that scared him silly. He hiccupped, fear trembling in his throat and only making him angrier, "Kill them, guys!" Eager to please, One settled and yawned his mouth open, Hyper Beam charging in its throat and firing for the airborne enemies. Surprisingly, Four joined in with a fired off Thunder...perhaps she was just as furious. The fight was over, so he could make them scared of him, get his revenge! Rex didn't even think of the future, of taking a hostage, blood on his hands. He just needed to win, to be the best, to never look scared in front of people. [break][break]

Unable to help attack with her claws, Two searched for any remaining troops, Fury Cutting any enemy that still lived with hisses of glee. The whole team seemed to want revenge for the fright they felt. [break][break]

The monster...just fell apart. Rex wasn't sure what to expect, but it wasn't that! "Whoa, whoa, Two!" He pushed One lower and Two used Protect to try and defend the team as they shuffled out of the way of falling wires...and ended up near the still plugged in foot. [break][break]

Now, Rex's heart still thudded in his throat, and his mind was still blurry in fear, but he did recognize one thing. They were winning (only his dragon had fainted and he didn't count that as a loss), and the other foot was unplugged, so that meant you had to unplug it! "Four, One! Let's kill this bastard!" He ordered with excitement pouring from his being, watch this guys! [break][break]

Four pressed her paws against the floor, Grass Knot erupting to try and wrap around the tail, giving One something safe to hold as Rex bade him forward. "Let's go, Sky Drop!" Talons attempted to grab on and pull, Sky Drop attempting to pull the tail out of the ground. Just a little more and he could go home, stop doing this dangerous stuff! [break][break]
