He needed to play catch up, that was for sure. He was tired and losing and while he could train all he wanted unless he upped his team he was probably going to keep losing. Though the hardest thing was trying to find pokemon of interest. Raziel wanting to copy his mentor and seek out pokemon with a toxic chain, yet encountering them? A lot more difficult than he thought it would be. He's found a few but it wasn't enough if he wanted to be on par. [break][break]

For now he follows his litten in the area in where he was told another Rocket was there also in search of pokemon. A way to meet others within their team and for the two grunts to help each other in their hunts. Litten begins to run forward seemingly having caught a sent of something. Though at the threat Raziel can't help but pause but his litten doesn't as its the only thing that comes out of the large grass at first. [break][break]

"Woah woah calm down!" he calls out from inside the grass, "We're not much of a threat," well they could be but Raziel had no ill intentions to anyone currently.

Raziel feels his bulbasuar shove him lightly as the woman freezes at his words. He gives it a 'what!?' kind of look as he clearly didn't mean to make her react the way he did. Which was why he was quick to apologize about it, he knows his father's words weren't the healthiest given his now current outlook so he probably shouldn't be repeating it. Yet it was hard to break years of conditioning. Though his brow can't help but raise at her in some surprise as she just blatantly calls out his father and his logic. While his mentor has more often than not criticized his dad no one else really did, not to him at least so it was strange to hear. [break][break]

"But there is a difference between the two," he can't help but argue back, he isn't sure if its out of habit or something he actually believed in, "One way its clear they're the items that they are and the other...." he doesn't really know how to word it. Not until she says it out loud and then notion of it seems contradictory to everything he has been taught. Was this the difference in Rocket that had been mentioned to him? [break][break]

"I.... no.... they're just tools and weapons," he counters though once more with his tone its clear that its more something that he is repeating rather than believing. Especially when his own actions clearly countered what he says in the very way he treats his bulbasaur, or the way he treated both his espurr and nidoqueen when he still had them. Though they were mostly the outliners for the rest of his pokemon? They were replaceable. [break][break]

"Least... that was Kanto way of things," from the way he has been taught, yet he seems to be doubting his own thoughts now.

"Now you're just lumping us together, believe me or don't believe me kid its no skin off my back in the end," he retorts back, whether or not this kid believes his honesty is his own problem. Besides with the difference in their prowess at the moment he didn't feel like he could talk much. The dynamax was strong and he's too new to all these little gimmicks. He doesn't understand how to properly used them, or properly fight against them. Its a variable that wasn't in the old war, and wasn't something he has trained enough against. [break][break]

Once again his bulbasaur is struck, and something instinctive hints him. There is a panic for him that there didn't used to be as Raziel runs and catches the seed pokemon. The strong force of the attack knocking him back as well when he caught the gifted pokemon. There is worry under the mask as he looks down at the bulbasuar in his arms, ignoring the pain of having been knocked back as the crystallization around them shatters. "You alright?" he can't help but question first and wonder why second. Worrying about his pokemon in such a way was not something he usually did. [break][break]

The words of Naia Kayode come back to him as they engaged in coffee talk weeks ago. Why did such a word for his pokemon sound so familiar yet so foreign? His bulbasuar weakly growls seeming to still want to continue, yet his grip on them just tightens in worry as they knock out in his arms. "You're not doing anything, but you can!" he calls to his noibat, the toxic chain pokemon seeming quite angry over his fallen ally. Its anger and the intensity of battle pushing them further as they're engulfed in a glow as their body evolves further as the rain is in it's last bits. [break][break]

With it's new wings it creates a HURRICANE to strike the Dynamax pokemon, and while Raziel would love to keep going his concern can't help but win over his usual logic. As he makes another whistle and the dragon creates another and another, not to hit but rather cause a distraction before the Noivern picks him up for an escape, he'll have to look up this kid another time see just why Rocket has tried killing him before. There was nothing normal about them that was for sure.

He nods about the shakes but seems unsure about them. Though if he could just drink a meal he feels it would be easier. Though a thought can't help but come up with it all, "You take suggestions so easily when you came here?" he ask curious since the other was as timid as him once upon a time, so what changed to make him into the Underboss he saw now.

"Aside from avoiding bananas since I'm allergic, I don't really have a preference," he says as once again he tries a bite of the pasta though it was clear he was just forcing it down. After saying this one of his Bulbasaur's vines could be seen coming from underneath as it drops off a piece of tomato from its own salad it's trainer had ordered for them. [Break][break]

It makes him chuckle lightly as he puts it on the plate for now.

He makes a face at the food and the insistence of eating more. "It tastes fine it's just too heavy to keep down right now," he mutters as he brings back his plate and just to play with the noodles with his fork, his stomach growls clearly betraying his claims. [Break][break]

"I wouldn't know what to order... I'm not... I'm not used to picking what to eat..." he admits to sheepishly hoping the other remembered his statement from before about his dad choosing everything, food included.

He can't help but tense as the reality of moles was explained to him. Honestly surprised by it,but it wasn't like he has heard many stories of them coming back. "Do you think that's why I got chosen for the job? Was I expected to die?" he can't help but ask as he puts his fork down now though aside the first few bites his food was barely touched.[break][break]

Their conversation to anxiety inducing to keep the think cause and noodles down. He would push the plate towards the Underboss to see if he'd want what was left, if not he'd probably just put it aside to be forgotten about. Just like his own appetite despite his body's own cravings for substance. [Break][break]

Though as the other admits to his own willingness to forget such memories his shoulders seem to relax a little bit. "Then it's okay that I don't...?"

Instinctively he listens, because of course he does. Slowing down and allowing himself a chance to breathe fully rather than the short breaths he had been as he worked himself talking about his father. Though when the other seems to agree that it was best he didn't remember he still can't help but worry still, "But what about the information?" he can't help but ask. [Break][break]

He's quiet as the other describes his own experiences with the higher ups. Feeling some comfort in the camaraderie yet understands that their situations were still not the same. "Would you choose to forget if you could then?" he can't help but question as there was an underlying question to it of should he be choosing to remember if the other would keep his own memories. Though perhaps he is focusing to much about how they're the same rather than focusing that in the end they're different people.

"I was put with the Rangers to gather information right?" least that's the story as he had been told. But Raziel is making sure to be honest with the other to hopefully make him understand his line of reasoning. Make sure that there would be no more reason to do anything as he was being cooperative. "Not getting the memories back means all that information is lost, please understand sir that is not information I want to withhold it's just that..." he pauses for a bit trying to find the best way to communicate his worries. "I don't want to remember the aftermath of my fight with dad, I don't want to think of the punishments, I don't want to think about being left alone with him when by the sounds of things near everyone I knew left for Hoenn not long after," honestly even if he had his actual memories back Razz would've loved to have forgotten about the first year as it had been the biggest struggle of his life having to figure out how to adjust. "I know you said that your dad was bad but... But do you have any idea what it's like to wake up and he's there, to go to work and he's there, to go home and he's there all while controlling what you do, what you study, who you talk to, what you eat, what you wear, all without a single break?"[Break][break]

Raziel pauses only to wipe the water building up in his eye, "I already went through that once when Theo kicked me out of his class for half a year but at least then I still had you and my brother and I were still close, I don't want to remember it a second time with my relationship with my brother being what it was and you gone"

Seeing the other eat encourages him to do the same, it honestly wasn't until he had the first bite did he realized just how hungry he's been this whole time. [Break][break]

"Fair enough, not like I really want to remember anyways," he pauses at thing as his grip on his fork tightening as if he felt he had said something wrong. It was too easy to see Cillian as the friend he could once talk about such things with. To the point that he's often forgetting that he is also Cillian the Underboss and he needs to watch what he says.[break ][break]

"Please don't be mad," he pleads softly as he shrinks in his seat with his head down. Looking at his plate so he wouldn't have to look at the other's reaction as he feared the worst from it.

As usual when it gets to his turn in line he has no idea what to order. The idea of making choices for himself still felt so foreign and almost wrong. In the end he just does what he used to and just gives a ill have whatever he's having," a nudge from his Pokemon, "And a small salad."[break][break]

Once they take their seats Raziel puts the salad underneath the table for his Bulbasaur to eat while he himself still seems to be getting the hang of using his left hand as his new primary. The young man just picking at the pasta as they conversed. [Break][break]

"Not really, but knowing about it ahead of time helps since I'm going back in with Theo later, kind of creepy how this program could just dive into a memory like that though..." he pauses for a moment as he seems to think about something, "Do you think it could also read what's been forgotten?" he can't help but ask. While he's already been over this with jayden cross about his lack of interest in getting his memories back he couldn't help but be curious about it.
