While Cillian finishes his meal Raziel is still hoping the nerves and stress he was feeling would finally calm down so he could eat again as his pasta still only had a few bites gone. Though his right hand tires out before any type of appetite returns, the fork clinking as it hits the table by accident as he tries to gently let go only for his grip to completely lose it. He huffs at his hand and shakes it slightly as Cillian talks just trying to enjoy their talk rather than be annoyed by his lack of nerves. [break][break]

Surprisingly he relates to the whole 'feeling broken' factor all too well. Feeling himself too stunted and isolated to feel that way about anyone be it in a relationship or even friendship as he feels he still isn't doing such a good job. Though he can't help but raise a brow at the other when he says this, "You say that buuuut like.... you were having relations before that right? You were at minimum my age when my parents invited you right? So you at least had those, or is it not the same?" he can't help but question, were the two feelings that different? Least he is pretty sure the other was his age when he first met the scientist in his dad's lab. [break][break]

"Slightly know who Beast Wolfe was, but I've never worked with her before and no I haven't met your husband yet," he informs, "I still haven't been cleared to leave the sub and after what happened with that asshole Walker I've been trying to limit my time outside my room." Last thing he needed was to get into another fight and make his condition worse.

With his Toxtricity down now he doesn't know how much more they can handle as he returns them to his pokeball. He isn't sure how much longer his bulbasaur can go on with this or him for that matter. He still wasn't at 100% health since he had been struck by lightning otherwise he'd be handling this differently. Let his fist do some of their own talking yet he holds himself back because he can't. Least the punk pokemon gave the ranger a hard hit on it's way out. [break][break]

Though the EARTHQUAKE manages to knock him down making his body ache from his wounds that have yet to recover. Though the shattering of the crystal that had taken over bulbasaur was clear to hear. Worry making him look up to see he has fainted too. The earlier super effective attacks too much for his body and he was barely hanging on by a hair. [break][break]

Once more he recalls his pokemon before he calls for another, the same Noibat from before as he calls out, "You won this time, but next time I will be healed and you won't be so lucky," with his final words he gives a whistle and multiple HURRICANS are used from his Noibat as cover for a chance to escape. Hopefully the other's body was as hard to move as his was after his own ordeal with lightning.

It seems his litten's ruckus had been a bother to multiple pokemon the first a Mr. Mime to jump out at him in surprise. Had he been more healed he might have been able to avoid it but he still wasn't at 100%. The best he can do is raise his left arm to try and protect himself as the pound knocks him down in pain. His right arm unable to catch himself due to the nerve damage. Thankfully the other comes to his aide on getting the Mr. Mime off him but that wasn't the only pokemon out for his blood his litten's transgressions. [break][break]

A brambleghast also making itself known as it seemed to try and attack as well, but with a FIRE FANG it's knocked back. Before it could have a chance to recover the litten goes in front of their trainer and uses FLAMETHROWER leaving the bush to burn before Raziel uses a Pokeball to make sure it was no longer a problem. [break][break]

He groans for a small moment in some pain be eventually he shakes his head at the other, "No I'll be alright," he offers before his bulbasaur wraps his arms with it's whips before helping their trainer up knowing the young man's hand wasn't useful. He gives a small thanks as he rubs the arm where the pound hit. "Its no big I've had worse," he lightly chuckles as he shows off his right hand and arm where he still had some lichtenberg scars on his forearm and the burn on his palm from where the lightning left his body weeks ago. He really needed more strong pokemon.[break][break]

With his failures mentally hitting him while he tired to fight in some skirmishes he understands one of his biggest problems. His lack of numbers and his lack of strength. And while his numbers were slowly growing he need more to at least have a full team. The last time he tried capturing a strong pokemon, his brother Asriel Pryde was with him, and the jerk just antagonized him the whole time. Many he once knew seemed to be somewhat hostile or passive aggressive toward him with no explanation really so he asked if Cillian would join him when the rumors of Toxic Chain pokemon coming to a rise. Even apparently a trio that were the first to be infected?[break][break]

He wasn't sure of the story really, so he needed someone that he could get along with, and wasn't afraid of any ghost considering where they were at. Besides that he wanted the chance to show his old lab brother his new look that his Zorua was able to use for him. Once he would've caught sight of the other a wide smile couldn't help but spread on his features, "What you think?" he questions completely forgetting to even greet the man in his excitement.

"Tch how annoying," he growls to himself as the tell tale signs of POISON HEAL were all to clear to him. This ranger was clearly had the advantage over anything he could do as his choices were limited. His amount of pokemon were too small to counter against a man who his poison's were almost completely ineffective. [break][break]

However giving up was not an option for him right now as he takes out his Tera Orb and activates it as the other's pokemon go to their trainer's defense. He needs to get rid of his own weaknesses if he is going to pierce the other's. So when they're back on the offensive Raziel is already tossing the orb and terastallizing his Bulbasaur into a WATER TYPE. It brings up it's bulb to take the FIRE FANG, and while the other's fangs do make him growl in some pain the fire itself is not very effective, though after the accumulation of his previous injuries the bulbasuar isn't sure how much longer it can go on. A whistle happens and the seed pokemon reacts as it uses TERRA BLAST against the Gliscor. [break][break]

"Come on come on," he mutters to himself as he tries to activate the broach on his jacket. He needs to be able to activate this thing, its a powerful tool right? He knows the scientist have reprogrammed it to his toxtricity but he doesn't know how to activate it. Something about a bond being so strong that it allows pokemon and trainer to be in sync right so come on, "Show them we're worthy!" he calls out to the worn down Toxtricity, though the 'them' wasn't even his opponent and his pokemon. This was to show their relevance in Rocket both had been looked down on and that small moment of connection is what finally activates the Sygna Suit. The yellow fluff of his jacket glowing and sparking as Raziel is able to activate ELECTRIC TERRAIN over his previous TOXIC TERRAIN. [break][break]

And for a moment the toxtricity feels empowered by the terrain their trainer brings up. With their minds in sync the punk pokemon knows it's trainer's intention as it strums its chest and uses OVERDRIVE to try and electrocute all it's enemies before METEOR MASH hits. Raziel is sure he feels something when that attacks hits as he holds onto his chest in slight pain. He isn't sure if it was his because him and his pokemon were in sync when it happened, or the fact that his pokemon was now lying on the floor fainted and the connection between the toxtricity and himself ended. Or was it all just in his head? [break][break]

Either way that was one of his pokemon out and he knows that he can't continue this battle for much longer.

"Hmmmm I guess that makes sense, if they're too focused on realism they can't do their story right?" he ponders about it, he's used to his study books that require everything to be as accurate as possible. [Break][break]

Though he pouts a bit as the other laughs, though its not taken too personally. "I mean this is the first time I've read fiction, let alone that... and I haven't even experienced so much as a crush before so it was a little much..." he admits a tad sheepishly everyday had been so revolved around work he didn't focus on such things neither as Raziel or Razz. Though there is another matter that Cillian brings up that can't help but catch his attention, "You keep saying I'm an adult but I really don't feel like it, I get that I'm 23 now," still not an age he's used to claiming to be, "But I feel like I lack the experience if that makes any sense"

He gives a simple nod to the answer about the two leaders, choosing to not go any deeper than that. He feels he has bothered the underboss enough and he doesn't know how much he is pushing his luck with him. He doesn't know if the other is just tolerating him because of their past or if he was just this relaxed around all recruits. Besides talking anything dangerous with the underboss was probably not something he should be messing with. [break][break]

"I mean I guess, but half of them seem to think of such over complicated ways, then the one story of the poisoning which mentions the wrong type of poison given the effects mentioned," because of course he would notice that. He was a poison expert, it was one of the things he studied on his own often enough to try and study his pokemon well and more.[break][break]

"But the others were fun, I tried your romance one too but once they got to doing uhhh... that kind of stuff, I just kind of put it down," he found out that reading about it was just as awkward as hearing about it, "So not really sure how that ended."

Cillian Quinn had warned him of this scenario but it doesn't make it feel any better. The idea of fighting against a higher up again triggers his anxiety of the whole situation. His bulbasuar seems prepared to fight but he definitely is not as the man some how multiplies himself and he can't figure out how. Was that something that was a feature of this gym? Such as the odd walls that seemed to shape the way the smoke screen shifted itself. He goes forward enough to try and touch it and wonders just what it was. [break][break]

Raziel looks back in confusion as the Underboss ask them about what to do. "I-I-I-I.." he stammers clearly not used to being the one to make such decisions. He was looking for the other to make the choice not him, though it's his indecision that bites back as the ground beneath him and his bulbasuar erupts due to an EARTH POWER coming from the Gliscor. Both pokemon and trainer are knocked back and Raziel struggles to get back up. He had mostly recovered but not fully, and its good this whole thing wasn't real otherwise the attack might have felt much worse. [break][break]

"I-I-I don't have the pokemon to properly fight back sir," he admits though his bulbasuar can't help but looked offended at his statement. "I don't know how to fight back against this..."

"Am I ever not?" he quips back with some jest but then he does suppose that he did get into a fight with a higher up. So technically that could count, though it would seem unfair to count a single incident after countless years of obedience. "I mean of course sir," he corrects himself as a just in case, Theo has done a lot for him and if respect was all he was asking in return Raziel was more than happy to give. [break][break]

After he just follows the other towards the apartment level of the store, scooping up his Zorua as he drops the illusion and pets the little fox to show how grateful he was for it's efforts. After he takes in the apartment noting the wear and tear of the place and wonders if it was bought this way or if the older man just didn't have the time to spruce it up. Either way it didn't bother him, gave it a bit of a lived in feel to it, besides he was sure with some elbow grease it could look better. If time allowed it of course though something catches his attention when he mentions the rooms as this place didn't seem big enough for three people.[break][break]

"Does Victoria not live with you?" he can't help but question, he may not like the other's daughter but he had mentally prepared himself to life with her if needed. Though even more distressing than that was him admitting to not being there often, and he can't help but worry on that. [break][break]

"Was that because you just lived else where?" he can't help but question slightly distressed on the news, "Or will you continue to not be here often?" he continues his questions, hoping for the former.

Honestly its weird to hear about that, Theo has told him about the transfer of power once apparently Blackwell had died. That was a shock on it's own but to hear now that there had been multiple transfers of leadership both here and it Kanto? Its odd and it throws him off and to him it just means that there is a new standard. One he needs to learn how to follow if both Cillian and Theo approved his progress today and finally allowed him out of this ship. "Did you prefer Cadis to Walsh?" he can't help but ask curious if the other had a preference or was this considered to be dangerous topics to talk about? [break][break]

One way to try and distract himself as they talk Raziel decides to use the time to try and practice with his right hand again. Attempting to grab the fork and just move around the food. He has gotten as far as he could finally get a small grip on things, weak grips, but a grip none the less. He wants to question more but he doesn't know what. So far all their conversations have done was stress him out to a point where he couldn't eat the food in front of him. This was suppose to get their minds off what had happened right? Yet it feels like it was making him worse. [break][break]

"Oh I finally got to reading the mystery books you left," he comments to try and swerve the whole thing to something else. See if more light hearted topics would settle his nerves so he could eat again. He had indeed gotten the permission from his mentor about the games and the fictional books, though he hadn't touched the game yet. With his hand being near nonresponsive he couldn't really use it so it was the reading he focused on, "Couple of them were a little convoluted on their so called 'mystery' and didn't make sense, but I'm guessing that's the fictional aspect of it? Trying to overcomplicate something for the experience?"
