As the room grew cooler Raziel was just trying to pick apart where this whole interaction went wrong. The hate is there but more than anything he is confused as he looks between both the cat pokemon and Jayden. More so when the older man somehow made a knife with his ice and
for a moment he wonders if he would actually use it on him. Did this anger have more to with Jayden than he realized? [break][break]

"my bond with chien pao has changed me."

His body tenses at the tone used with him and while he still sounds the same there is once again something that is just off with him. "I can see that," he simply comments in some worry wondering if this was why his bulbasaur went on the defensive as it was. Unlike him the bulbasaur
wasn't feeling hate, it was indifferent toward the two, all that concerned him was the orders given to him by his original trainer: protect the boy. And all he was sensing from the two was a threat. [break][break]

"i was weak before, but i'm strong now. you can feel it, can't you, razz?"

"I can..." he answers simply but behind the hate, behind the fear, there is something else. There is worry, this wasn't like the Jayden he knew. "You weren't weak before, not to me at least.... are you... are you okay? With all the hate this thing makes you feel?" he can't help but ask due to that very worry. He was angry with just the few minutes of this being around, he wasn't sure how Jayden would feel with this thing connected to him.

"Really Gavin?" Raziel can't help but blink at him as he tilts his head slightly, he's recently met the man in his dad's lab but Cillian Quinn didn't seem like the type that could fight. Though according to his mom most of dad's men seemed like a bunch of 'pencil pushing pansies.' "He seems like he's too timid to fight," he can't help but comment as he tries to think of the blond man from the labs. He hasn't gotten to know him too much yet so maybe he could be wrong there. "Though dad says that Asriel and I are going to be put under someone else to train soon enough, I thiiiiink its suppose to be that other guy you mentioned." [break][break]

"I mean you're dad doesn't seem to mind my parents so maybe that's okay?" he questions before he tries to think about the other's question. If he's being honest he doesn't know what it would mean. It's always just been him and Asriel Pryde so what would calling the other their brother mean? "Uhhhhh well... I mean if nothing else it means you have our support?" he claims though he isn't sure how much that means to Jayden. "Cause if anyone understands what you're going through it would be us right?"

He isn't sure if the teen believes him, nor is he sure if he would be able to tell what his trainer's state of mind is. Not with however much distance there is, when usually he could pick up on the Ranger's mindset being next to him. Though it seems she is calming down and that was enough. His goal was to get what he sensed out and nothing more for the time being. [break][break]

The meowstic smiles at Eris as he decides to move to sit next to her rather than on top of her as he gets the board again to spell.[break][break]

While there was probably be a good list of things he had forgotten in that first week of consciousness that was not one of them. The surprise of the information deciding to just leave quite the impact on his mind, but it was interesting to learn about the subject he had never touched before. [Break][break]

Though all that gets ignored as the zubat forces itself out. Instantly that topic loses all interest as he focuses on the pokemon. he thinks back to the old zubat the doctor had but that one had evolved, and not only that it also had the same kind of chain his Bulbasaur had. "Is it a baby from your Golbat? Was it born with the chain?" he can't help but ask curiously as he puts his good hand up to hover close to see if it would allow him to pet it. [Break][break]

He pouts at the idea of standing up to his bullies though. "Right I'll get right on that when I'm outnumbered 3 to 1 and can't even feed myself with my right hand," he sasses back lightly as he describes the situation he was in. Then as a reminder he raises his right hand and attempts a fist with a lot more effort than it should take. Raziel intending to showcase his hand was in terrible condition still.[break][break]

"Besides that not sure if you've been bullied before but mine have been the kind to like the push back, I've come to find that they get bored faster when I don't fight back," he informs before just shrugging his shoulders about not learning, "I mean I don't see what I can't learn about it from you or Theo"

"Do you think I would lie to you with a compliment?" raziel answers back with a question of his own. The young man finding some trouble with finishing the wrapping with his hand still struggling to move properly. Raziel having to hold one end with his wrist as he used his good hand to secure the gauze. [Break][break]

He looks confused on the new information with admins keeping their identity hidden even from their own. Raziel thinking about it for a moment before questioning, "Wait only from the low ranks right? Surely the upper management knows?" he can't help but ask because that seemed risky otherwise.

At the mention of the bond he doesn't recognize it with avatarship at first. The whole thing being a new concept before the ice beast suddenly shows up and Raziel can't help but jump back in panic at it's sudden appearance. His Bulbasaur was quick to come between the other's patron and it's trainer. As if they could protect him, though it couldn't protect him from this sudden feel of hate in him. [Break][break]

Hating how he had to play catch up with his memories gone. Hating the feeling of having been left behind while left and right those he once knew at his level had left him behind in the dust. Raziel closes his one good eye to try and stop the stare, to stop these feelings as Jayden ask him questions. [Break][break]

Was the other not feeling this change too? "Not... Different from one another, different from how you were back then" he tells the other as he tries to take in deep breaths of the suddenly chilly air. Calm his nerves and this sudden rage.

Eyes just narrow at the other as she tries to compare them to pokemon. She wasn't understanding that them and pokemon were not the same, yes they were to be soldiers in this war but like their ranks there was a hierarchy. He looks at each pile she mentions about their groups and he tries to think it over. [Break][break]

He thinks about it for awhile about the way he saw this Bulbasaur and how he viewed his old pokemon. Most of them being tools of course, yet when he thinks of his Despite and Nidoqueen there was a clear difference. "I think that's all just favoritism," he finally concludes, or perhaps he was too conditioned in his old ways. [Break][break]

"Though I can relate to the whole neglectful parent thing, maybe I should name it out of spite," he slightly chuckles as he pats his Bulbasaur's head.

At the name and occupation he gives a nod, so this was the woman he was searching for that Rocket had asked him to help. Made this whole thing easier, though it's only too late when he realizes that he probably should've had his disguise on before he confirmed his target. Oh well, "I've been training with Underboss Beckett since I was a kid so I'd hope I'm decent," he chuckles at the compliment, he was about to answer her request simply enough before another pokemon comes to the forefront. The Dusknior coming in for the attack and taking the doctor's bounsweet. Raziel giving a whistle and his Litten is already jumping into action going in to strike the ghost pokemon with it's TOXIC SWING before the doctor comes in and her mimikyu finishes it off with a PLAYROUGH. He watches as she throws the pokeball and he seems pleased with her performance. [break][break]

Raziel ducks his head as Theo's pokemon manages to get the gliscor off of him before it could do more damage. Though it seems too late for Theo to make much of a difference as the program has already recognize his loss. Everything going white around them as it loads up the next program. Raziel taking Theo's hand as he offers it to pick him up, his bulbasuar coming to him and looking up to him as if daring him to say he wasn't enough again. [break][break]

"I'll try to sir but...." he trails off as he feels upset with himself. The boss's words don't get to him oddly enough, though perhaps thats mostly because he hasn't meant the man yet. Rather his shame comes from failing to 'overcome' like Theo had said to. Fearing that he has disappointed his mentor, "Are you not mad I didn't win?" he ask as he knew his father would be so why wouldn't Theo?

"Right!?" he replies back excitingly as he squats down to pet and scratch his Zorua who was happy at the praise. "Theo says it was probably for the best if the Rangers still think me dead so been making sure it practiced this, when it first tried the scar and hair didn't look the best, but it's improved so much since," he explained as he continued the pets of praise. He leaves out the other big reason for the change. Namely in the eyes, but it wasn't like the other was asking questions about it anyway. [Break][break]

Thanks again for coming, I've been hearing a lot of rumors as of late of some trio where the chains originate from have been showing up," he doesn't know their names but the idea of obtaining more toxic c washain pokemon excited him. He wanted to be strong, needed to be if he wanted useful.

Raziel just makes a mental note of what not to bring up for now. Feeling that maybe it could be something to address later as he can't help but feel he'll have to also confront the other's daughter eventually on his own and they would have to deal with this. For now he nods in fake understanding as if he had any clue as to what an Underboss did. Hell besides training he wasn't even sure of the man's duties as an admin. [break][break]

Though he can't help but look a bit dejected when his weakness is pointed out. That fear of being abandoned for it unable to help but creep in at the back of his mind. "I swear I'm trying sir, I've caught more pokemon, I'm training them, and I've been making sure to keep up with the physical therapy to try and get my hand back to what it was," he proclaims as he shows the other his trying for a fist. Something he couldn't do a month back though if Theo were to try and test his grip the best comparison it would be to that of a child's. [break][break]

"What more can I do to get stronger?"

"But-" Raziel wants to protest that the Bulbasaur wasn't enough, he wasn't enough. He was but a fraction of the man he once was, and all the hardship that had hardened him to be the Ranger Captain he used be had been reverted back into an insecure teen. However if there was anything this version of him had it was trust and loyalty. Not to Walsh, not even to Rocket, currently it was all to Theo. So if the underboss tells him to adapt and overcome, he would at least try. [break][break]

"Sir yes sir," he just confirms as he takes a breath after getting himself back up with his Bulbasaur's help. There is some hesitation but after a moment he dashes in. He wishes he had his old gas mask but he'll have to deal with just his shirt up for now. The smoke bumping up against the invisible walls making it easier to see the maze as he relies on his pokemon's senses for any sneak attacks. Narrowly avoiding a few hits from the Gliscor as they make it through the maze, having tried multiple times to strike at one of the Walsh clones just to find out that they weren't real. Its the Nidoking that is summoned once they make it toward the center as it tries to attack them both. He fines himself terrified on moving, as flashbacks can't help but return, the smoke around them cause by fire rather than to be a screen and in Walsh's place it's his father. The image of his old man's nidoking grabbing his old bulbasaur and ripping off it's bulb flashing into his head and he is frozen in panic as his eye waters. He doesn't want it happening again, it was why he claimed his bulbasaur wasn't enough and he is still frozen as the drill pokemon charges at them. [break][break]

Yet things change this time around, the Toxic Chain makes this bulbasuar stronger than others like it. Its chain whipping out as it lashes out with a TOXIC SWING as it pushes the nidoking back, even managing to poison them thanks to it's corrosion. Its not much, but its enough of a difference to ground him. [break][break]

'Adapt and overcome' [break][break]

He repeats in his head as he finds himself actually in the battle, even for a moment as he brings out his terra orb and tosses it at his pokemon, making him a WATER TYPE to try and gain the upper hand. While it's TERRA BLAST does good in weakening the Nidoking the smokescreen still works against him, as does his laser focus as he tried to overcome his trauma that allows the Walsh to give an order to his Gliscor and the fanged scorpion strikes him from behind and pins him down, threatening his life that forces his own to stand down. He adapted but he wasn't strong enough to overcome, not yet.
