Sure it was a naive sense of ownership and courage, but that was what he felt was needed. Relentless change and evolution, just like pokemon, and metamorphosis just like all the pokemon that lined his gym. Each one with a task and find ways to thrive in an environment that isn’t their own. It takes one person to change the world, and one bug to affect the colony. Pull your weight and show why you matter.[break][break]

Though he still felt judged on his drag challenge, he shrugged, “Well...I assumed most trainers wouldn’t go for it haha,” he paused thinking as he stepped away from the man, slowly with discretion. “it’s made for those people that don’t have anything else, that don’t have battle prowess to raise their spirits. Like the lady on my first day here. She felt sad because she couldn’t stand up for herself, that she had accomplished nothing, and by completing the challenge with your drifloon, her life was changed, and now I see her passing it on to her kids at the farmers market,”[break][break]

Stopping as he jumped up on top of a train car as the bells jingled. “SO! In order to complete this challenge, you have to grab the bells yourself! Your pokemon may only assist you in stopping me, they can’t grab the bells! Just as mine can stop yours! There is no limit to your pokemon, but still,” he grinned as the siren went off signifying the challenge had begun![break][break]

As he dashed off towards stairs, that led to the rafter walkways up above.

The bright blue eyes allowed the girl to continue on with her fashions as the blizzard raged on. A section of his gym turned into this icy wonderland! While her attempt to freeze it all with powder snow, failed, however the tree’s and the ground look like elegant crystals glistening in the morning sun. Billi’s yawn left his mouth as he shivered. “Is it gonna be a cold morning brunch?” he asked the girl as his toes touched the cold and he laughed.[break][break]

As the snow glistened into a packy, light confection, Billi dragged his feet along the way. The other insects peeked their heads out from their dens as the sun arose and began their daily chores. As pokemon awakened they peered their heads out and work began. The snow the women had created began to quickly become rolled into balls, by Billi’s own snom and frosmoth, while the volcarona melted any that got it too high to it’s nesting place at the top of the center tree.[break][break]

With scraggy hair and baggy eyes, he noticed the heels, “Wow….you can walk in uneven dirt in your heels, you must have good balance.

The blond felt the heat from the flames fanning his body like hell itself. Sure they seemed to have just dived deep into the flames, but it was more than just that. Finding the source of the flames needed to be snuffed out or else these flames would continue like the cold war. Hearing the familiar voice then a blast of water lashing out around him like a pressure washer.[break][break]

Turning the head, he smiled “We need to find where it started,” he paused before jumping back because the flames shot out at him, nearly burning him, but the shellos spat some water at the flames. “ uuhh,” billi sent out his Galvantula, “I can’t see….maybe use rain dance so we can see,” and that way he wouldn’t fully over heat. It did as it was told and the downpour began![break][break]

Billi had entered Mt Pyre, mainly to do some lurking around, check up on his friend's dead friend’s grave. It was a ways down the graves, but still, it did need maintenance because it was so small. But regardless he filled his lungs and smiled, wiping it off, paying his respects for his friend and boss, because she was too busy to visit the grave.[break][break]

Yeah it was sad, and yeah it was depressing, but it needed to be done! Everyone desired this because they were worthy of it after death. The dead still require respect, and no one knew that more than Billi. From family dying, to a war, to pokemon dying, everything just crashing down. But nothing changed with Razzberry the rotom, in fact, it was over a thousand years old, even though Billi didn’t know that tidbit about his pokemon.[break][break]

Breaking off from his trainer Razzberry zoomed off, it caught a familiar sound in the distance, something that echoed from it’s video recording memory. Stopping in front of the man, the rotom spun, “PZZZRRTTTTT” it’s eyes lit up as it’s mouth opened, “Hello Skids!” it’s voice changed to match a familiar womens, but in the background noise was the two deceased pokemon.

“Sure I’ll be there in a sec Zac!” Billi smiled to himself as he slowly arrived at the location to help a lady out. Granted Zac was the one who informed him of it, and Billi thought it’d make for some great friend moments! So yeah he was late but at least the blonde showed up with a smile on his face! Moving through the house, he caught a view of the women needing the help, “Oh hello! I’m here to help anyways, gotta runnnnnnn~!” Billi laughed, passing the kitchen.[break][break]

“Oh hi Mah~” Bill peeked his head in the kitchen, waving gently, “it smells yuuummmmmyyy” he nodded as the little piller pokemon clung to his backpack. Turning around a corner or two, navigating blindly really. Until he found Zac in a room with HOLES?! “Oh shoot that’s a lot of holes! Looks like you need help!” he nodded, “Now….do you think she’ll mind if it’s just strong webs?” he placed the Pillers down, two Wurmples, two Scatterbugs, and a weedle scrunching their way to the holes, cheerfully flicking their mandible teeth as they spat some adhesive string onto the holes.[break][break]

“We should find stuff to fill the holes with Zac!” Billi nodded looking at the man with a giant smile.

Poor girl, she just dug herself a grave as the araquanid walked forward, it’s sheer size proving to be menacing, but the smile inviting, “If that is what you want! And everything is only as fair as you make it. Don’t forget to let yourself have fun, and you’ll never win if you don’t think creatively,” he commented as he the trio moved forward, which was a DOOMSDAY scenario for the girl, because she just started a game of endurance.[break][break]

“Okay so when you select your pokemon we can begin and then maybe have some snacks!” he laughed as the shuckle, araquanid and frosmoth stood/floated next to one another. Though...the shuckle seemed to be playing dirty, a twinkle in it’s eyes began to warp the area into a TRICK ROOM. [break][break]

The day had come, and it was time for festivals here in petalburg! While Lilycove had done there maybe a week previous, Petalburg was just getting their celebrations together, and were not only honoring in the new year of the OX but also it’s new Gym Leader, that would hopefully stick. Naturally his gym didn’t look like one as he requested to have the largest abandoned overgrown building into the city, and they seemed to accommodate. More so than ever.[break][break]

Offering a hand in construction, Billi shot them down, wanting to allow his pokemon to do the work, and work they did. Soon a dead warehouse was made to bustle with life from everywhere. Like a wonderful Terrarium. Heck they offered to fully staff his gym with trainers and everything to “weed out” the weak, but he denied it. Gyms shouldn’t be about who was stronger physically, but who represent what the gym was, and would carry the badge with respect and honor.[break][break]

Strangely enough it attracted common folk, and many people left with the badge. Like a housewife from the other day, who felt she had gone stagnant, and knew she could never battle because her drifloon wasn’t made for it! Well! She got her badge and she nearly cried because she could use her day to day skills with the help of her pokemon to create something to be proud of![break][break]

Billi felt the joy from it, deep down that no one could ever understand. Sure he was criticized in all the trainer magazines for it, but at the same time, he began trending as one of the most approachable gym leaders, and most fair. Though...Billi had yet to find any real friends in Petalburg, so when Oscar said he was coming to go out to dinner with him, at the festival, and he closed the gym for it![break][break]

Even if it was vibrantly decorated, and he set up the gym as more of a fundraiser business for the evening, it was opened as a petting zoo for children and trainers. Even sold some of his clothing that he made, in generic sizes that matched the festival. Granted he allowed his pokemon to run the business, because they were, and he meant the Leavany, were amazing with people.[break][break]

Amazing enough to fool Oscar, as Tailor turned around and laughed. “Leeeeavvvv” she boxed to the man before walking herself to the door, unlocking it so Oscar could enter. Inside, Billi was still getting ready. The cool, slightly damp air signified the freshness of a shower.[break][break]

Around the corner, where Billi stood in his washroom, the blow dryer going on a low heat, himself in nothing but a rather short pastel pink towel around his waist as he sung himself. “i’ve been trying to call. I’ve been on my own for long enough, maybe you can show me how to love, maybe. I’m going through withdrawals, you don’t have to do too much, you can turn me on with just a touch,” his hips sway as his voice harmonizes with himself. Billi doens’t stop until he realizes Oscar is there, and he’s pinning his hair up in a ponytail, “Oscar?” he blinked turning a bit red, “Oh shoot sorry!”

Billi frowned as he didn’t intend to bother the man! It wasn’t meant to be this big, you’re stupid moment, and in fact Billi didn’t think that at all! He just wanted to know about the injuries, and he thought it was a good question considering the articles revolving around head trauma causing brain damage either immediate or later in life. “oh sorry!” he nodded, “I didn’t mean for it like that! I meant it like uuh to ask if the injuries cause that!”[break][break]

He mentioned before pointing out the scar, “And the scar on your face. Was it from sports too?” then the conversation was shifted to his well...own injuries and scars, “Oh….”he took a breath, and considering he just insulted the man, it was best to be honest, “The war at Lilycove, and the big hentai monster crushed and poisoned my arm, so I have nerve damage in it, so it only works like fifty percent of the time.

Billi didn’t think he was being rude and paused, “Oh sorry! I didn’t mean to sound rude!” he apologized! Not that he fully meant to be rude he was just curious because he’s never heard such a twangy accent before! His was more galarian thick but he didn’t try it, “OH I’ve never been there before! Is it big? Does everyone talk like that,” Billi asked curiously as a Carnivine was CHARMED by Billi’s bug pokemon.[break][break]

It slowly snuck around the corner trying to snap it’s lunch from Billi’s butterfree, but instead it was met with a sleep power which put it to sleep, and butterfree made it a nice perch. So cute bonded together, but the prey one that altercation.[break][break]
